That man did not enjoy losing his perfect win streak. He was like "ok, thats the only win your getting off me cause now am not gonna go easy, going to my full power". xD
Learned a lot about what Roa can do from watching you two go at it. Definitely thinking I'ma stick to him like glue after that epic back and forth. Good shit man!
My favourite thing about new fgs dropping is getting to find new content and creators. Definitely subbing, nice vid.
Roa kinda quick tho 🤯
I really like him, he’s fast and has pretty good space control & pressure. I feel like he’s got a pretty good answer to most situations, he just has some pretty meh buttons but thats about it imo
I don't even know this game, but your videos have the best ending music, so, I had to hang on till the end, haha
I feel like I can learn this game since I tried playing a game called power rangers battle for the grid but the infinites made the game super unfun and the game hard to learn but these are like 20-30 hit combos also I don’t need to learn 3 different characters
that roa color is kinda sick
Gotta drop a tier list ASAP to bring in the views lmao, the ultimate fgc clickbait
One of the most satisfying things to see, HOMEBOYS first L and you gave it to him. :)
Good games, I like to see how you apply what you teach in your vids.
Oh shit, those shield baits to punish low were NICE 😅
Godlike video! I'm gonna try to emulate some stuff from this to encorporate into my roa gameplay cause ur mad nice with the character!
For this early in the game, this is really good Roa reference material. Thanks a lot!
I have no idea what is happening. Haha
Thought you were gonna join me on the Kohaku/Akiha setplay train smh. Ngl tho, your Roa's sick. Might have to try this character out on the side.
Oh trust me, I am very much on that train. Akiha and maids are my subs lmao They're so much fun, but Roa is just cool to me. He's actually really fun, the lightning super is great for lockdown and zoning
watching this really showed me that I am just scratching the surface of what Roa is capable of doing, good shit man
Sup Mushi! How do you go about learning and incorporating game mechanics? I feel very limited because all I do is learn button ranges and combos.
I have a lot of experience from prior fighters that help me out, but fundamentally you want to realize that your goal is to convert your hits into combos that lead into a hardknockdown that leads into a mix up. If you’re landing hits but not getting a combo then you need to practice combos, if you’re hitting combos but they’re not ending in a knockdown experiment with what supers you have that cause hardknockdowns then learn what your mix up options are (lows, overheads, throws, cross ups etc) and continue to loop this process.
As far as specific mechanics just do the tutorial mode which will teach you how to use the games mechanics to assist you in what I said above.
Yooooooo! Thank you!
Great, thx for that!
Love that you can just confirm into Super off of like anything I'm gonna abuse the SHIT out of it
How are you so good already when idk what im even doing
Not to be a downer on the guy, but his opponents arent very good with the exception of the Roa who is taking advantage of the same thing this guy is (Roa has always had high pressure even from mid distance in melty).
When you play more and get better at spacing, you'll learn all the character ranges, blockstrings, oki set-ups, gimmicks etc.
Combos are easy--if you focus on movement, the range of movesets, meter mechanics (such as using heat to break out of combos), you'll find more opportunities to pressure and find more advantages. Good luck!
To add to what Terence said, while its true that most of the people online aren’t very good. To answer you question as to why ppl like me & the Roa are able to play at that level so early in the games life span is a combination of prior fighting game experience transferring over & following the games trailers so closely that I basically knew the controls and what to do before I ever even touched the game lol
Playing grapplers like Kouma on day 1 is so frustrating because no one will ever stop mashing enough for u to tjrow them
I’ll pour one out for you
You must make them respect you punish them for pushing buttons until they stop mashing
@@thedapperturkey I literally meaty them every single time and they mash every single time so i just end up hitting them to death which is NOT what i signed up for dammit
I didn't pay 50 dollars to not do command throws
@@BrendanMushi it's hard playing an honest balanced mid tier in a world of broken stupid top tiers
Bruh. It's been out
rolled
Damn the ex projectile plus a million seems good
Honest Mids Michael at it again
Ez sub for Roa content
I just started using him lol I love this guy
It's Bs that on block he can push you with his super lighting and still keep pushing forward and still build bar out of it.
Would love to see a starter guide for Roa
This is gonna be fun to deal with
I really want to learn to 6c-c, 236b, 2c, 6c, but I'm having a lot of trouble hitting the 2c consistently. Looks like I'm not spacing it right, any tips?
Daaaaaaaamn
YES Roa is so fun!
Did you ever compete at high level in Fgs or do you plan to ?
Not really, I’ve entered a few EVO’s and stuff, but I always end up slacking off in my practicing or choking due to tourney nerves, so I tend to grind as a hobby as opposed to trying to win tourneys
Bruh could you do a ROA bnb video or guide/tips and tricks ya roa looks OD
You think if Roa buttoned up his shirt he'd be less powerful?
Yea. It has to be off 🤤
They already nerfed him by cutting off his hair
that backwards airdash in to kick cross up was gross
Roa gaming.
goddam this game is pure anime, good shit
Ok youre kinda nice at the game
He wasnt going to let you off the hook after his first lost
What do you use to play ? We can here you click on the buttons so loudly :O
I play on a fightstick, specifically mine is the qanba crystal
ROA is op tho
I came from Melee can someone tell me what dp means?
DP stands for dragon punch. It’s a reference to any fighting game move similar to Ryu & Ken’s shoryuken move which translated to dragon punch. It’s a move that is invincible so it can be used when being pressured as a get off of me tool, but it’s very unsafe if it gets baited.
@@BrendanMushi Ah gotcha, damn those moves are annoying. I guess Marth's up-b is a DP in melee or Luigi's down-b in ultimate.
@@loganreidy7055 Yeah in smash bros something like Samus doing an up B out of shield would be called a "DP". It's a "get off of me" panic move that's very unsafe if your opponent reads you're going to do it and blocks/evades it.
They tend to travel upwards just like Ryu's dragon punch. soif you see someone get off the ground with a move that looks like Mario, Marth, Samus, or ZSS Up B then its probably a DP
@@BrendanMushi Sick, thanks for letting me know. Dp was one of those terms I had no idea what it meant and everyone said it.
OD face movements tbh
Oh that’s my boy azure
Damn let em play the game
Yo we play roa very similar especially the block string pressures with the lighting sometimes when I get my opponents in the corner and they respect my pressure kinda rarely but they will get hit if they mash anything I do the ex lighting setup on a knock down for oki jump straight up and either hit them with a late overhead or go straight to a low
I think I know the streak guy lmao
How do i change my username? Mine is set to my psn account user name. Any way to change it to what i want?
Not sure, I play on PC. Check reddit or the Melty Blood discord. Sorry
Make up your bed please.
Yes, I'm sorry
Any tips on not accidentally doing auto-combos? I feel like I have monkey brain every time I press 4A 4A 4B and somehow it comes out 😭
Try your best to mentally count your button presses, solid chance you're just pressing A 3+ times from a lack of muscle memory of that combo in particular.
its about habit, what u need to do is practice a lot
he will be nerfed in 3 weeks from what I'm seeing here
