13:55 so salvation is based on whether you “give your life to Jesus” not solely belief? Sounds a bit works based to me.
Salvation comes by confessing our sin & believing that Jesus took the punishment we deserve for our sins (1 John 1:9, Romans 6:23).
"Giving your life to Jesus," "Inviting Him into your life," or "Trusting Him with all your heart" - these are all phrases used in the American church to describe salvation and our response to it, not a separate work.
