I used to think grammar is boring. And i then tried tapping into youtube short clip videos for my English.
Along the way, I could learn new grammar rules and utilize the rules I already know as well. It’s much much much more fun indeed.🧐

Great podcast, thank you so much teacher Thiago and teacher Cassé. I have been making a lot of grammar mistakes and I really feel like they are fossilized by now. But I am working on this, and my method to learn grammar is teaching. Teaching my brothers and people that are starting in their journey is helping me a lot.

I always rely on a great analogy for making habits that is the fact of how our bodies turn the voluntary movements into involuntary ones . At first, things start to operate under the control of your conscious using your brain , then by practising over the time it will become automatic because the body tells some nervous centers to carry on the task so your brain can focus on doing other actions and that's what makes you sound natural because you don't have to think about it at all and learning language is a perfect example.
Thank you for being such a great inspiration for us to learn english in a spectacular way ♥️.

    Hey!
As for me, I love studying English grammar.
When I discover new formulas or patterns I am eager to find out they limit. I mean I try to modify this structure or to pull out a rule that I can apply in different situation.
Sometimes that may even give birth to a startling combination.
Besides that provides a certain ease which allows to play with words.
I am glad to know that I am not the sole one appreciating English grammar.
Thanks Cassé and Thiago for this video!

I am a translator and an English teacher. I've been learning English for over 20 years, and I am a native Spanish speaker.
I'm just going to say, based on my learning experience, that although grammar is neccessary, it's not the most important.
Back in 2005 I traveled to the US for the first time to work. I had studied English for 5 years already. Lots of grammar, lots of exercises, I thought I knew a lot about the language. However, when I got there I could barely understand people, and I struggled to get across my messages. Other people with poorer English and really bad grammar were better communicators.
Using your driving-a-car analogy, it is not enough to know that both your hands should be on the wheel. You need other elements. Practice above all. You need to know what it feels like being in a street, with cars, pedestrians, bycicles, motorcycles around your car, etc.
Well, with languages occur the same. We see over and over again how English and other languages are taught in high school with the grammar based approach. What happens is that kids can barely remember or use correctly the verb to be after graduating. Grammar, specially rules, shouldn't, IMO, be the first or the most important aspect when it comes to learning a language. Understanding what we read or hear, producing and understanding the sounds of the language, accumulating vocabulary, collocations and expressions, and enjoying the language should be the first approach.
Grammar is just but a consencuence of exposing ourselves to the languages. If we expose enough to relevant content we enjoy, grammar will come easier, effortlessly and way more naturally than just relying on the exercises from the, most of the time, out of context grammar books. My two cents.

I'd assert firmly that the clues I take for myself from this video are:
    1. Embrace grammar and introduce it into your language journey.
    2. Look for patterns as a tool to automate your output skills. Doing so will make your life easier.
    3. Practice makes automatic.
Besides, I was wondering if you have any suggestions about learning parallel structures or parallelism.

Once upon a time where I started to learn it, the only way I had to collect enough vocabulary was understanding grammar books. I am not still as fluent as I would like, but if I made a pause to analyze the paragraph I am just writing here I would spend a determined amount of time to explain someone else the variety of structures found. I could say I wished I had learned it in its natural way, but If it had been that the process to be followed I might not have developed the motivation required to get my goals.
It's a question of time to get that fluency I have been dreaming about, thoroughly I chose this way to learn, I enjoy studying grammar, all it is in the books, the only thing you have to do is to spread that knowledge into the real world.

Thank you so much for this and all the classes you give us.. let me tell you that I just installed the app and I already had my first chat 😮. It was with an Indian boy and it was very interesting 😊
About this particular class, I saw a commercial with a mam burning a hundreds grammar books 😢 telling in his comercial that those were "caca" because he tells everybody that you don't need grammar to speak English. This is the "ideal" learning a language without the grammar. 😢 of course I don't think that this is true.

At the beginning of my journey towards becoming a fluent English speaker, I thought it would have been a great goal becoming able to understand the language and being understood, but the more I study the less I 'm satisfied with that achievement, I' m now trying to perfect my English!!! So, I agrre with the importance of mastering all of the grammar structures, and to become confident in using them.
