I was a massive fan of Lostprophets when I was younger and funnily, every single quote that apparently came from me in the news wasn't actually from me, the entire thing happened while I was at work. Every few years something comes up about it like some weird distant memory that once I finally forget about it, it pops up again. As far as I'm aware his SoundCloud account was hacked though. Edit: Also regarding the username, I had that from about 2009 and eventually changed it some time after this event as I'd never heard about the 'it was just megalolz' incident. Also cheers for not plastering my face in the video, appreciate it!
My theory is that Ian (or whoever did that tweet from his account) meant to use a hashtag but accidentally typed the 'at' symbol instead and inadvertently tagged you. As I say though, just a theory!
