How did you dye them? Do you have a video of that too? Can you link to the products you used? PLEASE? This is fabulous but having trouble finding EXACTLY where to buy all the wool and curls.
It's just rit dye. Follow the directions. Don't rub it or stir it to much or it will felt before you are ready. There are wool dyes too but I never bothered. I haven't made one of these in ages.
Oh rats. I have :( I've found this, but feels over priced? Need to buy 10 to get 4 ounces www.etsy.com/listing/96333504/needle-felting-and-wet-felting-felt-wool
It's been a while but you'd need at least 2 ounces or curls for this. Roving I buy by the pound but I'd guess 2 ounces of roving also. Everyone felts differently so it's going to vary.
Hi Sharna, I know it's been a couple of yrs since you made this video, so I'm hoping you still answer questions, " hopefully' OK, I see that you dyed your wool also, your pre-dyed wool looks exactly like mine, got mine off of Etsy from Sheps Wool.com & got my curls from SesenArtsandcrafts , also @ Etsy. Here's my ? . when you dyed your wool , did you cut it into strips & let it dry as a whole piece ? & the curlies, OMG , you should see mine. yours still look good & usable, mine are beautiful , but they tangled up like a roll of yarn thrown into the washing machine & all blended together, How did you dye your curls so they would still look that good. So curious. I've got enough to make a 2nd one, but don't want to dye it until I know 'how' to avoid this mess. Thank you ...... Please help me ! Janice
Ok so I don’t get these notifications any more so I just saw this. My curls came beautifully done in long locks by the vendor. It’s a certain breed of sheep that produces this length. If yours are not in lock form there isn’t much you can do except pick out the good ones. I’ve processed a whole fleece once and it’s not fun. That’s why buying good cleaned hanks of locks is more expensive. When you dye roving or curls you don’t stir you just soak. Then you won’t get tangled.
Hello! The vendor I used no longer supplies. You just need to search wool roving or sheep curls/locks. I recommend spending a little more for washed locks.
Thank you for posting this been wanting to learn how to make this!! ❤️
Thanks for the video, it's amazing!
Do you have links to the end result? There aren't any links to your Instagram in the description x
Can you use other fabrics besides wool on this?

Hola. Con que nombre puedo buscar la lana rizada?
Which side of the bubble wrap is in contact with the roving?
The side with the bubbles. I've done both but the side with the bubbles works better.
Alguém sabe a lista de material que ele utiliza neste vídeo?
A base é feltro, a linha é que eu não sei qual 😞
How much hot water do you use?? THANK YOU for posting this!
Probably a cup or two? Enough so that it was wet wet. I put towels down and they got pretty wet too.
