My prayers and thoughts are with this guy. But like him I came to Canada as international student a few years back.
It is crystal clear that he knew abt the 20 hr/week working allowance limit. So he broke the law of this land knowingly, so he knew that he was clearly wrong. Though he was very unlucky that he got caught. The onus is on every single international student to follow the law.
I hope lots of current and new students take a learning out of this or be ready to face the consequences.
Most of ppl do work more than 20hr+
I think he did in cash and even more than we can imagine like 30hr+ thays why it happend
