Hi Joseph. Love the video and the farm. I’m in Ireland 🇮🇪 but we have six Estrela mountain dogs. In September 2018 we were at a dog show in a village near fundao. Beautiful place. We drove back to Santander by going over Estrela mountains to the observatory and top off the ski lift. It was amazing to see. Love The Country and the videos. Thankyou Alan.

Geese in Wagga Australia on the lagoon nest on blackberry island out in the open it was 20 metres x 5 and 15 geese nested October our spring , at end of December goslings at 9 or 10 weeks would total 100 at least rounded up and sold to farmers or given away in the end after geese crossing signs erected council decided public liability too risky and they got rid of the lot ,I love them at 15 yrs 46 yrs ago I took 2 that had damaged legs and raised them in my bedroom a light and cardboard box , mum was horrified they made it to adult leg injuries mellowed , named them hopalong &limpalong they sat on my lap if I sat on the ground . I gave them to the mayor and they lived on his dam at horse stud 👍❤️❤️❤️🙏

As well as the cost of the water, what other services and taxes would one have to pay to live on this farm? You mention air B&B. I guess the schist building could support two units. Would there be a demand for such accommodation?
Hi there Noddy! The xisto buildings could each be one small unit, so four, but if you wanted to make them a bit larger they could become two large units, they would rent out for around €70 / €100 per night. The cherry orchards produce 8 / 9 tonnes on average per season and cherries locally sell to wholesalers here for €2.00 / €2.50 per kilo, some years if there are less cherries they can be sold for €3.00 per kilo, so it’s a reasonable income with little expense after tractor fuel and labour for picking the harvest, the harvest goes on for roughly ten weeks so not many people are needed for picking, two people plus the household is probably enough hands on deck! all the best Noddy.

Hi Joseph, off topic, but do you know the rules on fishing the zezere river? Can you only fish in designated spots like river beaches or can you fish anywhere or do you need to be part of a club like back in blighty?
Hello there Sam, mostly the whole river can be fished but some areas are not worth fishing, other areas have private fishing associations that own the fishing rights, your best bet is to ask the local hunting and fishing association where they recommend to fish. Once you get a fishing license for this region from the multibanco you are covered in all the areas that are not private fishing associations. Hope that helps my friend, happy fishing!

Hi Peter, they certainly do, I never film any properties that are unlicensed. The alojamento local license to allow for short stay holiday rental is very easy indeed to obtain, I have already done this on some of my own properties.
