@@SuperbikeUnlimitedthat’s awesome! Scholtz seems like such a cool customer, and he did pretty well at Pitt! 2 podiums right? You must be doing something right.💪🏻
Pretty funny but I heard the noise at the beginning of the video in the background and I was like, that sounds exactly like my X1 Carbon...and sure enough that's what it was 😂
Good call on that header to fuel tank deal! That shit is whack! Dangerous son! Also make sure you guys use the appropriate amount of air filter oil. Don’t use oil spray can, that will dry up in days and look like what yours does now. I suggest twin air oil out of their gallon can. Air filter oil is so critical! A well cleaned and oiled filters keeps valves in spec much longer. Every time I go to the track I see bone dry air filters. I like what you’ve done to his bike ! Nice job🤙
Did the same ( some different parts) with my 500 EXCF and have the same chain clearance issue, very interested how you work this out, Also, some feedback on your OLINS setup. Many Thanks, Allan
@@SuperbikeUnlimited my bike is a 2017 450excf I’m currently not running a crush drive but I’ve had countless people tell me I need to swap to a crush drive setup. I do commuting and the od track day
@@TheEagleman193 @TheEagleman193 No cush drives in S1GP! It's added weight and even the factory SMR, FS 450, SMC R don't come with them. Get a slipper clutch for corner entry instead.
So what's a rough estimate on the cost of this, or maybe I should say, something like this but not top of this line parts. Just the front forks on this build are 5K. I'd like to do the entire build for 5K or less. I'm looking at a used 500 EXC now and just trying to figure out how much a build similar to this would cost.
@@SuperbikeUnlimited Thanks for the response. Are the stock forks and shock really not suitable for SM setup? Lotta money there. Would just wheels, tires, brakes, sprockets and a few other cheaper mods make for a good SM to kick around on canyon roads?
You can probably get away with it, but I would at least run some preload spacers and close the clickers. You’ll find the suspension to have a lot of pitch compared to something properly set up. But it will still be fast.
what do you think of the new Athena Sx1 ecu, seems taco moto is going to be selling them, exact ecu jett lawrence from hrc honda supercross just won 17motos in a row, and the championship.
FINALLY BRO YOU BACK AGAIN. PLEASE TRYNNA UPLOAD MORE NOBODY HAS SUCH GOOD CONTENT.
We will try and keep them coming!
Brilliant Freddy. Love this content Greetings from Scotland
Thanks for being a part of this! 🍻
Dream garage!
Love your attention to detail. Very nice build 👌
Awesome as always!! 🏍️
The attention to detail is what sets yall apart from the rest. W for sbu
slick build 😮💨
Looks tough 💪 like always, love the work and attention to detail 👌
What will you do with the built bikes?
They all have diifferent endings! Many move to new owners when we're done.
I saw you on MotoAmerica in one of the Paddocks. I think Attack Yamaha.
From Pittsburgh? We provide electronics support and do all ECU calibrations and data processing for Westby Racing / Mathew Scholtz.

Amazing video Freddy! Great chatting with ya today my man 🤘🏻 Can’t wait for my parts to come in 🏁
💯 - it’ll be a cool project!
glad i found this channel. any updates on this bike?
Soon!
Awesome waiting for tue next vid 😊

Is the direct link rear shock better or the linkage found in the fs450/ 450 smr better?
There are benefits to both. Overall, a link is better. You can easier tune the progression and it’s unlikely you’ll run out of spring.
I need this suspension setup on my 23’ and that solo! Can I come drop it off please?
Of course, we’re happy to get you dialed in!

When can we expect the next video update on the 500 exc? I am really looking forward on some dyno figures
Ideally within 30 days.

What size is the rear rim and tyre? If its 5 how is it installing them
Why the change in suspension is oem not enough for most people ?
Depends on the person, but we wanted to utilize our best technology on this.
@@SuperbikeUnlimited I appreciate the reply the build is insane goals when I build mine !!
@@SuperbikeUnlimited you instagram ?
@@Insaiyanrider Keep in mind the original suspension is meant for trails, not supermoto use. Good luck with your build! Call us if we can help.
Do you use a crush drive for that bike setup ? If so or if not what’s your thoughts on crush drive vs non ?
We never use Cush drives on supermotos. Don’t feel it is necessary.

All products used are linked in the description, that should give you a pretty solid idea. 👍

We tested those on our SMR build - and it is what we took off of this one in the first video. It's a good ECU, but the Taipan is better.
