Perfect timing! I just got started with InDesign for a new project and was wondering how I could make a clickable PDF. Thank you for the great tutorial, Teela. You've helped me loads with all things Adobe :)
I have done the task you mentioned and the web addresses inside the laptop are correct and clickable, but not on mobile. What should I do to make it work correctly on mobile?
Hi - I just came across your video, and I notice that there isn't a pop up with the address when you hover over the clickable text. There is one on mine and I'm trying to get it to go away. Do you know how to make the text pop-up on hover go away???
Could you add a link to another page inside your InDesign document? For example, could you make it so that clicking on your logo would jump to the 5th page of your InDesign document?
I love your tutorials :) thanks! Just one question: The font didn't need to be embedded in the pdf? Some of my peers always convert to outlines before exporting, although usually for print. Any advice? Thanks.
Hey! If your users are only using Adobe Reader, no need to embed, since the pro pdf editing tools are in Acrobat, which far fewer people have since it's a monthly subscription :)
Hey Teela! Do you have a tutorial on how to make images like the thumbnail for this one? Hoping to design clickable pdf's and printables similar to these in the near future. I'm not a fan of the typical "styled stock" photos, so minimal yet eye-catching display images like the thumbnail on this are perfect!
Hello, I see you have a video on editable pdf forms but I was wondering how to make a fill out form in indesign that you want to use specifically for Web use.
How do I make a pdf where the end user can edit some lines of the text and then print it? Like a form for example 🙂 In my case I want to make a poster that my friends can reuse by changing the date, but they don't have inDesign - only adobe reader 🙃
Agreed! I'm going to be a sophomore in college this year, but sometimes you learn more like this from little tips and tricks than you do in a class! love the channel! Thank you!
Thank you Teela! Your explanation was perfect and quick for what I needed to get this book out the door today. Blessings to you!

How do you take the PDF put it in an email and keep the link "hot?" I have to take the PDF and make a screen shot, and then the link doesn't work.
I am trying a mail merge using excel InDesign, so is there a way to call the hyperlink url from the excel sheet.?
Thanks you helped me out! My setting was still on Print so the hyperlinks didn't work.
You can also create a pdf with live hyperlinks using the Adobe presets method. On the second dialog box there's a check box for hyperlinks.
can you link a file instead and have it embedded and then export as interactive PDF????
Thanks ! You helped me a lot, I had a link that could not be displayed 👍 Saved to watch again 😊

Thanks! This was very helpful. Clear and understandable explanation. Highly recommend this one!

I use Adobe Acrobat for all lengthy forms. You can export your design from InDesign and place the form elements into the pdf using Acrobat :)
Can this work on Android or other Mobile devices.......
Why interactive pdf doesn't work in mobile phone whereas it works on computer?
