The nickname “wildflower” stuck to me like pollen on a summer breeze. It all started with a catchy tune by Skylark. I was obsessed with that song, playing it on repeat until I knew every lyric by heart. The melody was infectious, and the words spoke directly to my free-spirited soul. When “Wildflower” played, I’d picture dancing in a sunlit meadow, carefree, like the song’s hero. Mrs. Green’s friends and family often caught me singing at the top of my lungs.

This more subdued persona valued caution, careful planning, and weighing the consequences. “Wild” and “Flower,” two opposing forces, were in constant flux.
