    PSA(our one and only comment)
    There have been some strong opinions regarding this video, so here is our take.
    We are not in it for the views, clicks, likes, money, or fame. We created this channel to look back at our fishing adventures when we are old and gray. As more and more people began to watch the channel we noticed the positive impact our videos have on people. Our main goals now include education, entertainment, and respect for the sport. When we post a video we hope to bring joy to someone who might be going through a rough patch in their life. Whether you have family/marriage/friends problems, have medical issues, have financial issues, workplace problems, or are mentally in a bad spot, we want to give people an escape from reality and put a smile on someone's face.
    Every cent we earn goes straight back into the channel to better our content for the people, i.e., upgrading camera equipment, giving out custom spinners to anyone who wants one, etc.
    As far as “spot burning”, we firmly believe there is no such thing. Either you know the spot or you don’t. If you go to the DEC website there are maps labeled with every single creek/river in the area marked with access points and parking lots. How can you burn a spot that is already publicized? The chances are the spot you think is secret has been fish by 100s if not 1000s of people. If we see someone in a particular spot we want to fish, we smile and move on. Don’t let someone who is enjoying their day ruin yours. There are plenty of spots for everyone to enjoy thanks to the world class fishing opportunities WNY offers.
    Us anglers have a duty to teach others the goodness that comes from fishing. We need to spread knowledge and positivity so future generations can carry on this sport we all know and love.
    We respect all your opinions. We will try to be more discrete but we will continue to make videos.

      Ok guys. Let me clear a few things up. First of all i have been subbed to your channel for quite some time. I enjoy your vids and have left many positive comments. Heres my issue. I personally have been fishing that exact spot for over 30 years. IT HAS NEVER BEEN CROWDED. yes bird island pier is a known fishing spot. Im not a guy who thinks he owns the water. #1. D.E.C. gives very general reports about the 2 mile long pier. And has never pinpointed the spot you fished. Were not talking about an entire trib . Were talking about a 300 foot stretch of water that is productive for steelhead trout. There is no other spot on the entire pier that consistently holds steelhead. When you went to fish it ( for the first time ) you had it all to yourself. Thats because it is not widely known to lots of steelhead anglers. I guarantee you got a tip from someone and did not fish there because of information you got from the D.E.C. im certainly not telling you or any other anglers that you dont have the right to fish there. What i am strongly saying is on your first time fishing this tiny stretch of un pressured water. You had a successful day and shared it with hundreds of like mind anglers. If this particular spot was larger , no big deal. But its tiny. Us older anglers have put miles on our boots and countless days EARNING the fish we catch. No one before you has ever posted a video on social media pinpointing this tiny stretch. How can you state ( either you know it or you dont ) when you single handedly just informed hundreds of people . You made a bad choice to publicize this spot. AND YES IN THIS CASE YOU ABSOLUTELY BURNED THIS SPOT. Take responsibility and use discretion with the social media platform you produce. And i know your young so heres a tip when your wrong admit it.

      It looks like when someone asks you which creek you are fishing in other vids you don’t answer them but you are willing to draw a map to this one because you barely fish it. I feel like you see it as a throwaway spot that you don’t mind sending to the wolves. Seems like a double standard to me. I too like your videos but you have to realize that you have a wide reach on this platform. Your not just telling a couple buddies about a nice spot. You are speaking to all the steelhead anglers in the northeast that aren’t afraid of a road trip (I’m guessing most of them). You seem like genuine dudes who understand the value of the sport it is just frustrating knowing the damage that can be done if this info falls into the hands of someone that doesn’t respect the resource like you guys do. This is coming from a guy who has stolen quite a few spots from UA-cam so I’m not innocent.

Your honestly a lame I really was starting to like your Chanel too.. don’t come out there ever I will push yo ass in the water don’t play me. You fuck with my spot, I fuck wit you! You ruined that spot for good now. Thank you. Hope your proud of yourself. No fame lame ass bitch

      @@SuperJayhaze i appreciate your comment Jason. Ive been walking that wall for 40 years. Im 58 and still take the time and effort. It is a special spot to me . I read the pin they posted. The fact is they know nothing about this spot although they did very well there. The fact is , you dont get a tip on a very small spot fish it once and expose it on social media. Young people are used to getting things handed to them these days. Ive been thru many pairs of boots over the years earning my spots. These kids need to be way more respectful

      I don’t even fish there and this bothers me. All of these UA-camrs are just secretly trying to get a bead sponsorship from some crappy company and will sell out anything to get there. The pelicans scour social media for spots because they’re too lazy to suffer and learn to read water and find their own spots. These are the same lazy pieces of trash that litter and have no respect for the resource. You get positive feedback on your vids because lazy people use them for personal gain.
      Artpark is ruined. 18 mile is ruined. I can’t fish in 75% of my spots anymore because of crap like this. If you are being honest about looking to reflect on memories from past trips then you could keep your edits private and view them at your leisure. But I highly suspect that isn’t the case.
      You probably haven’t been steelheading long enough to know what things were like before social media, which is why the crazy amount of out of state plates don’t bother you.
      I can’t even take my nephews and nieces to 18 mile for bass anymore because some clown posted a UA-cam vid and that’s now ruined too.
      What a gong show.

      @@colingoesfishing6836 ridiculous. Aye I gave some bait and line to some fishermen in need. Was catching small steelies all day and they happened to land a bigger one, (good size for eating) they told me to go f off when I asked if it was cool to keep it after I gave them my equipment. If that's the typa community you want. Knowing fishery is a biblical symbol of prosperity, abundance, and grace from God way before this youtube thing is absolutely sickening. The most graceful things on this planet turned to self centered, selfish, "my spot this my spot that". And disrespectful nasty people who could care less on helping the youngings out. I heard envy take the best of women because they are emotionally superior over logic. But I'm seeing more men become this way too. Something I will never comprehend. Sickening.

    • @CrayOutoors
      @CrayOutoors 2 роки тому +11

      Bro! Everybody can see folks fishing the black rock canal from the skyway. The highway literally gives this spot more views than UA-cam ever will. Maybe I’m bias because I’m also a UA-camr, but I wouldn’t define downtown Buffalo (the most populated place in WNY) as a “place to get away from the crowds” in WNY. You’ll still be able to walk away from most of the people there, that wall is very long and most people won’t want to walk that far when you can fish anywhere, regardless of weather or not they saw somebody catching fish there on UA-cam. Also you know as well as I do (along with everybody else in Buffalo) that you primarily only catch sheepshead there most of the time, they got lucky and just happen to hit it on the right day when the steelhead happened to be staging there (which made for an awesome video). If anything I actually hope more people do fish there and take some pressure off the tribs.
