I just got into ice fishin this year and although I have zero clue what I'm doing and haven't really caught much, I'm still having a blast. I hope i can get up to Flaming Gorge by the end of the season. Being from Kentucky, we don't ice fish lol, so I still get nervous on it. Great video man. Stay safe out there.
@@gerrardasdoesburg8456 this was filmed the day it was posted.( 2 days ago) We fished up by the confluence on the Wyoming side. I would say the most important thing to catch Burbot is to have some sort of cut bait on whatever jig or spoon you decide to use. Also using baits that glow is very important. Burbot become active as the sun goes down. I wouldn't bother trying for them in the daytime at all. Good luck!
What a fun outing for you guys. Congrats on the catches.
Looks fun! Keep up the great work!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Love the flaming gorge area! Never fished it but we have been out a few times hunting near there.
That is a strange fish, Very scary to have someone fall in, Good video thanks for sharing.
Strange, but beautiful in a weird way haha. Thanks for watching!
@WildaboutUT Yeah definitely want to catch one
Congrats on the new species caught! Looked like a blast! I can't believe Shandon went for a swim. Glad he is ok!
Yeah it actually wasn't Shandon who fell through but another guy in our group. Crazy stuff! Thanks for watching!

Wow thx guys really appreciate it good fishing to you.
I've never seen anyone put snow on the apron on the inside of the shanty!
It was so windy at first and that's what was necessary to keep the tent down!
