Waste of money. If you can have a dead key of 100 watts and you add you put out 1000 watts you only get 3 Db gain to someones reciever. It is the law of physics. For instance if you have a 10 watt output radio then to get 3Db more gain out to someones reciever you will have to have 100 watts out. A 100 watt radio you need 1000 watts for a 3 Db gain. Your better off to invest in a good beam antenna.
3db is the difference in being heard or not heard. Also, real world experience will tell you how power increases actually translate to a signal are different from "theory". I just had a customer go from 6 s units to a little over 10 by going from 900 Watts PEP to 2000 watts PEP. Also, why do folks like you waste their time giving unneeded "expert" input? You're no one of relevance or significance, so what makes you think your opinion matters now, or even 10 years from now should someone stumble upon your comment? Go write a book
