- This is the battle between Clark and Zod. All clips belong to CW. Note The quality used to be a lot better than this. I don't know why its not as great as it used to be but its still good. Rate and Comment!

“My father sends his regards.” An enormous turning point. Jonathan will always be his dad, but for the first time, he has acknowledged that Jor-El is his father, and by nature of that, his kryptonian heritage.
And from this point Clark didn't bitch about his powers and his destiny anymore. He accepted his heritage.
Hmmm you mean physically not culturely
I see Jor-El as his father but Jonathan as his dad. Clark/Kal accepts Jor-El as his father and his Kryptonian heritage to protect Earth but he gets his morals and emotional connections from Jonathan.
First time he accepted his true father.
He's finally accepting his true father
They didn't always get it right, but there really were moments when we got to watch Superman on Smallville. This was definitely one of them.
pittland44 the costumes
Facts.
For real I loved this scene Clark outsmarted zod twice
You know what was for me this show biggest's sucess? The fact that although it lasted for 10 Seasons and it unavoidably did enough mistakes here and there, people look at it with more effection than the Arrowverse like Flash in ourdays. It could have been so easily go downhill from Season 8 or even 7. But no! It actually managed to hold the reigns untill the finishing line!
@@penny1545 The earlier seasons were so good, it felt a bit weak when it was moving past high school, but I thought season 7 was so strong with the introduction of Clarks cousin Kara.
Sadly, this is probably the closest we'll ever get to seeing Michael Rosenbaum playing a live-action speedster. He was really awesome as the DCAU Flash.
I always loved the running super fast slow motion effect
Me too
both
Jacob Bennett what show is this?
Team3Gaming Smallville
Team3Gaming smallvile. it's on hulu as well so don't wast your money buying it on youtube.
I love how the series connects to the original Superman movies. Love all the references and the musical cues, everything.
Always loved how Smallville found a way to knock out or make someone pass out right before Clark HAS to use his powers. Lol
Fr
"My father sends his regards." So much burn.
Burn to a scorch- FIRE!!!!!
Third degree right there.
Clark stole one of the most famous lines from Game of Thrones!!!
@@penny1545 this was before that
Blue pants, blue shirt and the open red jacket waving in the wind. Nice easter egg.
That was Clark's standard uniform, off and on, for the show's first seven years. He occasionally switched it to a blue jacket and red shirt, especially when playing Bizarro. The first season mostly kept him in plaid or a farm jacket, but the color patterns were still used a lot.
"I'm going to make them suffer, Kal. These humans you've adopted, I will take them all from you one by one."
When I was a kid I was disappointed this fight scene didn't last longer...I knew Clark should lose fighting Zod but looking back this is exactly how a fight should go between an un-experienced Superman and Krypton's greatest military general. Clark was massively outdone yet found a way to win...perfection!!!!
Exactly. "I was bred to be a warrior, Kal. Trained my entire life, to master my senses. WHERE DID YOU TRAIN? ON A FARM?!"
@@davebrown2056”There’s only way this ends Kal. Either you die, or I do!”
Top 5 best Smallville scenes EVER!!!!
I love the whole kneeling and the grabbing of the hand, just like in the Superman films!
The way Zod and Clark are flying and staring at each other looks like they're having a bromance dance in the sky
Punching was rare in this show. It must have been way easier for them to show super powered people throw each other by the collar all over the place.
I always figured it was done against human/meta human opponents because a punch from Clark would probably kill them, while shoving them would at most break a few bones. Against opponents like Zod, however, I don't understand the lack of punching
Also to take into account that Lex's body is not Kryptonian. Clark was probably thinking about what would happen if he did punch Zod in Lex's body.
@@RANCE22808 exactly Clark was smart to hold back on not harming Lex's body remember that episode on season 3 when Clark fought against Jerimiah who thought he was Nemod with that dagger and when they both superspeed and clashed against each other he was knocked out this is another reason why Clark would be holding back
@@marvel6592 Remember when he delivered a uppercut to Bizzaro? That sent him into the stratosphere. Lol.
Well in this fight zod possesed lex’s body so if clark punched zod it would damage lex and they were on semi fine terms still
When I started binge watching the show from Season 1 back in April, I kinda disliked the opening song but as I watched more and more episodes of the show, I got fond of it. And now, I reminisce this awesome show with all kinds of feels. Wish I could rewatch it again for the first time. Michael Rosenbaum is the best live-action Lex Luthor hands down!
indeed, great show!
Sebastian Joseph what show is this?
How could you dislike the opening song for THIS show. Its the only opening song for a show I like. Every other show is garbage or has none. Your opinions stupid, no offense.
somebody savvvvvvveeeeeee me!
I miss smallville 😢
It was really bad. Like shit to today's standards
+Roronoa Zoro That's what I think too. It aged too bad.
+Roronoa Zoro it was good for its time. its still good to watch the old season. back then this was the shit.
the heroes that are here are green arrow, superman, flash, cyborg
Roronoa Zoro nope its amazing
I keep forgetting that smallville was like bold and the beautiful, but super heroes and villains.
This is the episode where Michael said Tom couldn’t stop laughing every time Michael said “ kneel to ZOD”. I heard Tom welling laughed a lot during filming. Funny bc in interviews he always looks like he wants to fall a sleep
Wasn't it because of the wire work? Because they couldn't keep the wires steady
I like the way that "ZOD" looked as he was being pulled from Lex's body. They went all out to make him look like Terrence Stamps version of "ZOD" from the original Superman
I love how i didn't understand Anything from this part 😢
2:18
"Kneel before Zod!
Lay down on your backs before Zod.
Now, using your lower abdominals, raise your legs and hold on a five count before Zod.
One, before Zod!
Two, before Zod!
Three, before Zod..
Buns of Steel from Bod by Zod
😂
GOLDEN; lol...
So Clark pretty much got his Blur costume from this, huh?
0:38
Still holds up, and Michael’s performance was amazing there
Spot on, we got 2 Zod's in Smallville and the actors for both were outstanding.
I don't know why people who watch the show don't get this, but Clark can't fly because he has a psychological block preventing him. He fundamentally believes that his human side is his good side that keeps him grounded and that his Kryptonian side is something to be feared. He always wants to be human, even if the desire isn't always conscious. When he finally accepts that he's not capable of being human and that it's not necessarily a bad thing, he flies.
Maybe I'm just making excuses for Smallville. It was kind of a stupid show with low-budget effects and nonsensical plotlines. But one thing it did better than any other iteration of Superman is the relationship between Clark and Lex, who was the best character on the show.
Of course it was low budget it was a 20 something episode tv series on the CW. If it was a ten episode series on HBO it would be different and the effects were juat fine to me
low budget effects? they seldom did low quality looking effect, they usually where short but they where really well made. but they did get sloppy later on the last seasons.
The producers of the show were very adamant that Clark would never fly or wear the suit. Its a small miracle that it ever happened at all.
There was a copyright issue. They didn’t get permission to feature him flying until the last episode, because the character owners didn’t give them permission to do so. They weren’t able to include Batman character into series for the same reason.
But also Tom Welling did not want to be Superman on Smallville because he signed up to play young CK, so he asked for a plotline with him flying to be removed from the early seasons in accordance with his contract where it was promised that he wouldn’t be flying in tights. At least that is the story 20 yrs later as shared by Tom to Michael in one of the podcasts.
I didnt even get this far into the series all those years ago .
Im glad they used the classic line.
KNEEL BEFORE ZOD
One of the better fight scenes, this is definitely one of the great sci-fi/superhero shows
Did you also notice the position of Zod and "Superman" (the moment of triumph immediately followed by defeat) was the same here as it was in Superman II?
Dude, I still remember the hype as I was watching this episode on TV, when I was 12.
What a good times, this was the first "epic battle" of the show for me at that time.
Clark really got his ass handed to him whenever he fought the Big Bads, have you noticed that?
Yes we know
keep in mind that despite all of his powers, his fighting abilities are nowhere near as sufficient as Batman. Zod has military training. it's not until later on in the series that Clark starts to exhibit some fighting ability.
basically, the smallville setting is when he's supposed to be a kid. so he really isn't ready for the fighting yet and in the show it always seemed like he wasn't at peak ability yet. so he's weaker and learning how to fight as time goes on during the show, which i always thought was cool.
Kind of like how in the movie, "Man of Steel" Zod spoke about his military training and said to Superman,"where did you train, on a FARM?"
Craig Glatt exactly his powers still growing and steadily grows as he gets older like his speed for instance notice how fast he was early on as opposed to when he ran to the Honduras looking for Brainiac it took only a couple seconds
Michael rosenbaum is the REAL lex luthor NOT stupid Eisenberg
I can already see the crowds of fanboys who have been hating on Eisenberg "changing"
their minds once the movie comes out. We've all seen this before
+ButterOnCorn nope
+ButterOnCorn Very few minds, if any, were changed. Eisenberg's acting SUCKS.
+Raymond Ross agreed
+ButterOnCorn MR forever.
FYI anytime you tell someone to kneel it doesn't end well
I love how powerful and aggressive ZodLex is here. When he flies straight into him in the mansion and once they hit the ground outside he does everything at superspeed with nothing held back - you can feel a power difference between them straight away.
Although what also bugged me was they show Clarks abilities getting stronger over time - hes's had years of yellow sun exposure and to get used to controlling those powers. Didn't li,e the fact Zod mastered them immedistly (especially when its likely the first time he's ever explerienced them). The same thing bugged me with the Kryptonians in man of steel.
After watching the interview of Michael Rosenbaum and Tom Welling, I can't watch the scene the same way I used to XD
Why?
Wait why what did they say
Look up the panels of them at CON together. Apperently. This was the hardest episode to shoot because they couldnt stop laughing. They explain how RIDICULOUS Michael sounded and looked the whole time while filming. I had to pause it I was laughing so hard.
why didnt they casted michael rosenbaum to play lex luthor in the BVs movie, that would have been epic, and since he is a little older, he would be perfect
because he only fits for the screen
agreed 😎
+Rex67Diego9 fandub Isn't the one in the BVs movie much younger tho?
Rubin Ngai yeah but that luthor isnt like real lex luthor
Rex67Diego9 fandub also, that luthor kinda looked all andy samberg like as well lol
I agree. Sam witwer did an amazing job as Davis the whole season. Definitely the darkest, and one of the best, smallville seasons IMO
I have watched Smallville for 10 seasons. This particular episode was really
good. The shows do have a budget. If you own the DVD's they will explain
reasons they had for doing things. It is always about the money the networks
will allow them. It is amazing what they go through just to get this show to be
produced each week. The special effects look good and not cheesy. It is so
believable that I wonder why it never got more popular. Guess I am a FAN!
I love how in many of these similar fight scenes the scenery looks almost the same as the others, but I still love this show and I will miss it.
i dreamed about landing in a feild of grass like that...
"Kneel before me and I will let you live" The words I will say to my nemesis.
Carhartt must make one hell of a coat if it can survive all of that!
😪😪😪😪🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕
This has more blood than BvS
not the ultimate edition
@BeyondEnchantment Thank you, glad someone said it.
@Justin Gary what did they say
A time when heroes become legends.
i love it how every time clake is in a fight, the people that he cares about like louis and lana just happen to become unconsious
Wow. That was compelling, very detailed, and shined new light on the "good show" and "bad show" argument. Mind blown.
1:07 - 1:17
Zod = me
Clark = my meat
Haha desi funni meme sec number 69 420 haha
@@MrKrypt That's just gross.
I am General Zod. Your ruler. Yes, today begins a new order. Your lands, your possessions, your very lives, will gladly be given in tribute to me, General Zod! In return for your obedience you will enjoy my generous protection. In other words you will be allowed to live.
2:50 seriously, Zod.. are you ever not going to fall for that?
bolatluver29 do not talk to your master like that. KNEEL BEFORE ZOD
Yeah and I just happen to be a powerful Hero in Champions, would you care to step outside and feel the wrath of my Mighty Broadsword? I assure that you will have no hands left to be tricked with. ZOD!!!
actually I'm hoping Ursa will do your bidding on this one lol
Henrik Sollenberg That's General Zod to you!
God, I WANT Zod's jacket! Along with Clark's second-to-final and final Blur jackets!
Absolutely loved this scene. :)
This scene is awesome
0:43 esto me parece Harry Potter y Voldemort en las reliquias de la muerte jeje
The "new Zod" is a younger clone that was released at the end of last season. He isn't the real one. The real (General) Zod is the one that Clark just defeated in this clip.
Awesome scene.
Epic battle!
Goku vs Saitama ?
lol
+pinponrap pt lol
Easy, Saitama wins, one punch
@@edmontonboy99 hell no
@@edmontonboy99shut you AAS up
0:36 it was at this moment that Clark knew he fucked up
Just shut up.
+Joseph Stalin about your ugly face
Daniel Adetuwo Woah, what a great comback, too bad its already over 50 years old.
+Joseph Stalin u think my come back is so bad it better than saying shut up
Ahaha kids
Over time I've watch most of the episodes... a terribly frustrating show, but with some great moments.
"My father sends his regards" -- classic !
Great the way they use the 'kneel before Zod' from the original 1970's Superman movies and the image of the phantom is somewhat like that of Terrence Stamp's Zod (he was the voice of Jor-El in SMALLVILLE). Lots of symetries !
Season 5 was the last good season of 'Smallville'. I used to really love this show, it's such a shame they had to go and ruin a good thing. :(
somebody else find out that the minute 2:35 the scene is similar to the trailer of batman vs superman
It'd be the opposite. This came first.
+Irvine Brooks This came before Batman vs Superman
+Varun Hans you get my point anyway
+Qwa'ha Xahn Vahla ha'nesh you get my point
Oh hey, that's pretty sick.
*"Kneel before me"*
"This planet will be mine"
"I win, I always win"
Michael Rosenbaum played Lex on this show really well. Good actor he is.
why is superman fighting walter white?
so you don't know who lex luthor is? superman's villain since the 50s? years before even the inventors of that show might even have been born? yeah him.
abiel998
ok?
abiel998
that was a rough estimate. good catch i guess.
Michael Shannon is the best Zod
No Terrance Stamp is & he can kick Michael Shannon's ass any day of the week.
Nice trench coat! That's what inspired Clark to go all goth in season nine! (Least favorite season; Clark and Chloe not getting along just sucks)
Epic!
still better than the crappy flash series
Flash is very weel better Than Smallville. Psychologie of the Barry Allen and ennemis : Captain Cold , Marlone , Heat Wave , Reverse Flash , Zoom , Savitar , Killer Frost , King Shark. I love Smallville but Smallville Betrayed Legendary Superman : Brainiac , Darkseid , Bizarro and more
we are the flash 😂
smallville sucks, especially all the costumes they used in the series and especially the "justice league "
No one gives a fuck.
apparently you do
Smallville was good exactly up to the point they started using cheap costumes. It went downhill from there.
Smallville is a geekshow that uses bad effects, bad costumes and bad scripts.
Seriously... that "doomsday" costume was among the worst i've seen,
considering Doomsday is 2 heads taller then superman, and twice as wide.
Marios Skordos i'll agree with you on that
Ultimate joy buzzer!
good video
Damn it I loved Smallville but gosh Tom Welling is a bad actor.
+WSBZ01 way better than Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin combined though
+2Good2BeTrue45 Seriously?
+nomaan akbar Yes.
+2Good2BeTrue45 Lol. Great joke.
Meavy Hetal Of what, might I ask.
Watching Clark and Lex fly in 0:45 like Harry and Voldemort in The Deathly Hallows >>>>
This was Smallville on point.
Smallville.The best serie.
That’s awesome that Terrence stamps zod was ripped from Lex body and if you listen close enough when he screams no you can hear Terrance stamps voice. Smallville will always be goated!!!
The bit when he grabs his hand is surely a reference to the Superman movies
"kneel before zod" thankyou!!!
He is a great Lex and Zod. What a great actor
I think this is the best second fight in the series
This is why Smallville beats Arrowverse all the time.
I know man of steel is going to be epicness. But this show will always stay in my heart. Smallville was always the best, they showed very clearly who is superman, and they did it perfect. They showed the power of superman. SMALLVILLE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST!!! IM said season 10 was the last 1:(((
Oof. Flying effects haven't aged great. Rosenbaum on the other hand? Him mugging it up never gets old.
i love watching these videos while playing hans zimmers man of steel soundtrack
Kneel before Zod,Terence Stamp was probably watching closely thinking,That's How You Say It !!!!
Yes and Michael Truly nailed it.
Thank you finnaly someone else can see it
The special effects are very good considering it's a tv show and not a full blown out movie.
I love that it's Terence Stamp as Zod.
I remember when I was a teenager there was a version of this video where when Clark walked right in the Superman song was playing
Exactly, he's just that awesome.
It’s so epic when he’s crushing zods hand and he says my father sends his regards
Good old days
Ohh shit!! I can't believe what I'm witnessing right now!!
Clark's slight of hand on point👌
Smallville was awesome. It's my favorite tv show of all time. It wasn't at the top of the ratings rankings, But i thought it deserved to be no. 1. What other tv show do they have special effects as good as a major motion picture? And they sure didn't have the budget of those huge movies.
2:50 just like in the movie, loved it!
I hope they make a movie with all the smallville cast.
Best Clark Kent and Lex Luthor
Well I would have expected him to put up a bit of a fight since Superman holds back most of the time, would have been nice to see even when he is so inexperienced he still puts up a good fight to show even when he isn't superman yet he still has this fire in him that will eventually blossom when he grows up.
Oh, never mind. Continue as you please.
I loved this episode, but it's been a long time since I"ve seen it. Which season is this in? A season finale, or a season opener? Thank you for posting. Can't wait for man of steel.
smallville has some great special effects.
As I stated, Lex and Clark had their battle before this. Lex had powers before Zod took him over. See that one if it bothers you. Smallville explained the reason for that within the show. If you want to see Zod and Clark fight, then look up the end to season nine.
