Loved this review of the Septuagint with Apocrypha. Every library needs at least one of these. Thanks for sharing with us.

Good review, gypsy. My copy is from 1997 and it's holding up fine. It looks like Hendrickson redesigned the outside. The '97 copy doesn't have any crosses on the cover, the spine is black, and the boards are mostly red.

I want to know how to use the footnotes because I can’t find what the correlation is. I knew the one for Ecclesiastes 8:10 because I was looking for it specifically but I couldn’t find the Notation that brings you to the footnote

The Lord has provided us with many tools to diligently seek the face of him. It's always good to have books although I do like Blue letter bible online. It allows for both Greek & Hebrew meaning of the word. The Apocrypha's are a hidden gem. Thank you for sharing

Since there's not line matching going on between the Greek and English anyway, I wish they shrunk down the Greek a bit and enlarged the English.
I've been debating between different Septuagints out there and in the end the older Brenton version seems to still be the best for both reading and study. Newer versions, like the LES, use "humans" instead of "men"....🙄
They say that's to be more "Greek-like" but I'm not so sure about that. It definitely irks me from an English perspective and what I'm used to reading in older Bibles like the KJV and Douay-Rheims.
Also heard from others that know way much more than I do that there's other weirdness going on in these newer versions and we end up seeing this too in all these constant newer Bible versions as well. Pass. I'm staying with the Brenton.
