Bob, I used to make smelly soaps from vegetable oils, its a process far different from beekeeping. Many customers requested unscented lard based soaps and it became a very popular product. The reasoning is collagen in your skin is very similar to hog fat. The downside is the soaps are much harder and do not cut as easily with the wire cutter.

In my greenhouse’s it’s a fact that the faster you move air the quicker you cool it off. Maybe in your warming box try a ceiling fan on low to push the warm air to the floor. They do make special mounts to keep them high and tight so your forklift won’t hit it. Just an observation, you know more about this than I.

In the past when I removed the bucket lid for filling it was a big problem around the gaskets but now that we only put the lids on once and fill through the tint plug hole it doesn't show up much. If you are not removing the lid but it's leaking around the gasket you might try removing the lid and putting a bead of non toxic caulking on the gasket and reinstalling.

I bought one Queen through the mail From a seller in Texas, I will never buy one by mail again. Turned out to bee a poor queen in my inexperienced opinion. I lost the hive by robbing by the end of the summer.
I did not put entrance reducer on like I should have. The queen just never layed very well. One problem with mailing is WHOS fault is a bad queen. Iv seen how SOME postal workers treat packages A queen is not meant to bee treated like that, so i am trying my best to start getting my own queens through cells or cutouts Then i can only blame my self for failure.

@@dennisbarney869 Sounds like it was your fault. Don’t take that the wrong way cause you already said your inexperienced. Some queen breeders take pride in shipping but a lot of breeders also say shipping may stress them out. What were the conditions of the hive you introduced the new queen to? You said you didn’t add a reducer, did you have 1:1 in a frame feeder with “honey bee healthy”? Was the intro during a flow? I literally just did this… I almost lost 2 nucs after introducing 2 new queens. @Bob Binnie said it in one of other videos suggesting not to use additives because it could induce robbing! I had to do the wet sheet thing and figure out why…. Also, how do you trust beekeepers you don’t know? How do you know you ordered and received a 2023 queen? 2nd queens have a higher chance of swarming (Bob’s last vid)…. Bees don’t go by the books…. It’s def aggravating sometimes….I was sold 2 queens by someone Bob knows and was originally told he only had 1 23’ queen left and a last year one but at the last minute he said “oh wait, my mistake, it is a 2023 queen”…… in my book that’s a red flag and it’s a coincidence that THAT 22’ queen isn’t producing a 3rd of the other….. Keep asking questions like me…. I always ask even if they don’t respond back.
