    You could use a thinner profile collar or spring clip to give you more plate room. I too like the length of these.

      I use mini spring clips with these if the weight isn’t too heavy.

    A set of fraction plates can really dial in the weight increments for progressive overload on lighter exercises such as curls and lateral raises. I have a similar setup and found kilo fractional plates pair nicely.

      Fractional plates can definitely help 👍🏽

    I came here because I wanted to see if I should get the 15 inch dumbell or 20 inch dumbell

    Great review, man, I have the same set and I totally agree with making the grip area shorter and giving more room for the plates, that's what I thought when I started using them.

      They’ll get the job done for now 👍🏽

    Bit late but if you want there is a company called weight it out that makes ultra thin weight plates that allow you to really load these handles up. They cost an arm and a leg though haha

      @HaiTran  Рік тому

      I’ve seen those. Not for me considering the cost but a viable option.

      Valid Point might be able to get up to 75lbs! These are a good choice for lighter stuff for side/rear delts or warming up for shoulders or chest get that stretch you can't get from barbell.

    Awesome vid cheers, late here, I'm worried about the safety of olympic dumbbel collars, with those Rogue aluminiums would you use them to chest or shoulder press?

    • @HaiTran
      @HaiTran  7 місяців тому +1

      People make videos testing those collars by standing on top of the plates to show how the collars don’t move. But ultimately, you use at your own risk.

    Will this work with the 25lb plates for chest incline press?

      Thanks for replying, in my particular case I want to load this to a lot of weight like 110ish
      So I have this doubt if they can load this amount in case I can lock them without the little brackets (with 11lb plates)… ?

    • @HaiTran
      @HaiTran  Рік тому

      You’ll have to measure the plates and collars that you’re trying to use and compare that to the measurement of the dumbbell sleeve.

    I see your point about range of motion with that grip but I can row 130-140lb dumbells and press somewhere between 100 and 110lbs per dumbell for ten reps so I'd be doing 30-50 reps with these things. I'm thinking about getting the Dumbler with built in collars and Weight It Out 25s as they are thinnest available. I just sold my Power Blocks could never get used to them. I really like the Peppin Fast series but can't justify $2k on dumbells.

      The new Rep Fitness adjustable dumbbells are looking like a nice option.

    • @chrisdonnell2575
      @chrisdonnell2575 Рік тому +1

      Yes I agree and almost industructable! I'm going to buy Peppin's Olympic handles and their fast change flat ends. Weight it out 25s are 1/2 inch and so are 10s so can get both heavy dumbell and smallest width like you suggested. Katsui Max also good option and can handle 150lbs per dumbell and are only as wide as the plates.@@HaiTran
