My next couple of tutorials may be a bit different, but after that I'll be posting tutorials on animating on FireAlpaca and making pixel art on FireAlpaca! Do you have any more video requests? Feel free to let me know!! :"D
Hey! I have a really hard time creating patterns for clothes or for that comic-y look one of the drawings you showed in this video. Do you have any tips for that?
I'm not sure if you put this in your beginner's tutorial cause I have watched most of your videos and I keep forgetting what you went over exactly in each one, but do you have any good ways to practice doing line art? My line art is very um.... let's just say not very good to say the least xD, but I would like to get better at it and I'm not sure how to practice it. You don't have to make a whole video on it, if you know like a link for me to look at and practice.
cutecrafter8100 try drawing small pieces for a while, I sucked at lineart for a while but then I just kept drawing so just keep practicing and you'll get better!
I love the way you use so many different colors especially the eye part and the outlining of the eyebrows. I don't see many people doing that. it's so cool!
So my jaw literally dropped when you did the "clipping" trick because I DID NOT KNOW THAT WAS A THING YOU COULD DO THIS WHOLE TIME IVE BEEN RE-TRACING MY LINEART
" I'm not best with line art" * Slams hand on table* YOU LIE! ( Sorry your amazing! i just started watching your videos, and i love your style and how smooth your coloring and lines are. So Love your stuff :D )
you know what. no matter how much tutorials i go for, i always come back here. its been 4 years since ive been watching her videos, idk how many times i rewatched her tutorials and general videos lmao & im currently struggling with line art again so i came back since the other videos weren't really helping
Trashymatsu , I didn't asked who it is, but, okay? And how would you know it? It barely shows the exact eye color and the hairstyle, except, the only answer is that you already know it.
7:53 normally when i color line art i do a slightly different color from whats next to the line art, but i always leave the eyes outlined in black, i guess i never know how to color them, but i kinda like it cause it draws (heh pun) your attention to the eyes. which most the time is the focus of my drawings
I got my Wacom intuos art yesterday and I've been using krita but I decided to get fire alpaca aswell and clipping is so usefull for lineart and correction too! thank you for making this video :)
I'm just learning how to draw digitally and ur really helping thanks so much before I only did the back of people and u've shown me how to draw faces eyes and hair on faces, thank you so much for helping 0u0
Can you do a tutorial on how to move part of your drawing. For example if you've drawn an eye and it's a little wonky how can you move it a little bit without having to erase it? X
Great video! It helped me a ton, because my lineart was a bit shaky and i was unhappy with how little weight was on my lines. I'll try your tips! (ps. That Oikawa drawing cracked me up with the speech bubble.)
Note For People Who Use Krita. In Krita Clipping Is Done By Either Right Clicking Your Layers And Selecting Quick Clipping Under The Group Section, Or By Hitting Ctrl Shift G, It Took Me Forever To Figure This Out, As I Couldnt Find A Handy Dandy Little Option To Tick On And Off Like Seen In The Video, Nah In Krita You Got To Either Use The Hotkey, Quick Grouping Under The Right Click Options, Or Group Two Layers And Click The Little "a" Alpha Symbol On The Top Of The Two Layers. Good Luck To Everyone
you have absolutely no idea how much this helped me-- like seriously, I have watched all of your videos and I am a huge fan! You have helped me slowly improve and it makes me so happy, so I hope you continue making your awesome videos because each one makes me smile-- PS- your voice is way too cute
I learn a lot from you, LeslieLu. The idea of varying line weight and not always using black for lines really helps me. I trying to learn to be an artist, not just digital, and I think edges and the way they are applied are really important.
Hey! I accidentally moved my brush tools and I don't know where I put them :\ Is there anyway I can get them back? ( I have tried reinstalling fire alpaca ) ♥
i appreciate this channel so much, it seems like FireAlpaca is actually a decent and also free program and then you have these tutORIALS AND YOU'RE SO NICE AND YOUR ART IS CUTE TTHSDG
I've been watching your tutorial video and I want to say thank you so much!!! It's really helpful and inspiring at the same time. once again thank you so much! :3
Hey, about coloring your lineart, the clipping layer does work, but if you wanna save some space, just click protect alpha on the lineart layer, it freezes everything in place and you can color it without worry
Would you recommend using different brush types in one drawing? I love your videos, by the way! I just got FireAlpaca and am going to start expanding my art horizons by doing digital art, and I've binged your videos so I know how to use FireAlpaca and they've been so, so helpful! Thank you so much!
thank you your channel helps me so much since im new at digital drawing and each of them just makes me feel less of an idiot when it comes to using the things on programs :D
Here is another tip for coloring line art: check the protect alpha on the thing beside clipping and then go back to the line art layer when you wanna color it
i love keeping things sketchy, but when i do lineart, i like using the "sumi" brush in medibang, i love it so much. also i mostly use brown for lineart, but i like black if im trying to make things creepy
Hey, I was recently drawing on fa for two months & I was wondering, what canvas size do you use? Like the starting size of the canvas 'cause I feel like mine is too big
i love how you use mac too, it makes things sm easier for me and cuz the controls and everything are the same. I see other youtubers, they use diff programs and diff pc and I would not be able to do as the way they do it but thank you sm :) i love your vids
Keep doing these tutorial tuesdays because honestly these are the only art tutorial videos that I understand lol Since I only have FireAlpaca, these are super helpful so thank you friendo orz
I learned so much just from this. I had no idea what the clipping option was for! I use Medibang too and have been using it for about 4 months, so I'm still exploring the features ~u~'
Use a layer below. Or use the magic wand tool and click where you want to colour. Make sure you hit 'Expand pixel 1' so there is no white spaces left behind
Ctrl + Z is your best friend as a digital artist lol.
ahahadelaaijde shat does it do?
it undos your mistakes
Oh, yes. Undo button is your best friend.
ahahadelaaijde yeah I once had an animating app, and there was no layers/undo button xD and I had to delete it because it made me mad so much :p
its your savior
With me, my lineart always worse than my sketch. Most of the times i smooth out the sketch because I am too afraid to ruin the good sketch.
same e^e
Art... Is not something to be perfect at. Explore, always finish an art piece no matter how much you hate it.
Tranto some people work without lineart! you can try doing painting art styles instead. just experiment until you find something you like!
Ikr? People take like 1 hour to do the sketch but I'm here taking 3 days trying to fix it, like am I doing something wrong?
No don't say that some people are just faster etc. *****
*when your left handed and have to constantly reach to undo*
Sparkel Child i share your pain
I just rebound all that stuff to other keys
Sparkel Child *you’re
Sparkel Child the pain is real
digital art can be so cruel, good thing im right handed :D
“I’m not very good at lineart...”

My life would have been a lot easier if I knew what clipping is, so thank you
Frerard

Hey!
I have a really hard time creating patterns for clothes or for that comic-y look one of the drawings you showed in this video. Do you have any tips for that?
Skin tones and blending! I have trouble with that.
I'm not sure if you put this in your beginner's tutorial cause I have watched most of your videos and I keep forgetting what you went over exactly in each one, but do you have any good ways to practice doing line art? "The only straight I am's a straight-up bitch."
I'm still laughing at that xD
lol that speech bubble killed me and gave me life all at the same time
Who isn't?
" I'm not best with line art"
* Slams hand on table*
YOU LIE!
( Sorry your amazing! i just started watching your videos, and i love your style and how smooth your coloring and lines are. So Love your stuff :D )
I clicked on the marker tool and used it and I cried the tears of a man during the birth of his newborn child. bless you.
you know what. no matter how much tutorials i go for, i always come back here. its been 4 years since ive been watching her videos, idk how many times i rewatched her tutorials and general videos lmao

aaaa your art is so amazing! i really need to work on my art.
-aw your profile pic though-
broken ocarina same with yours lolol
I like how people points out a person's profile picture is an ahegao of a character
Victor Molina kokichi ouma aka purple gremlin to be exact
Trashymatsu , I didn't asked who it is, but, okay? And how would you know it? It barely shows the exact eye color and the hairstyle, except, the only answer is that you already know it.
thank you for making this video! it helped me so much with my lineart! im a traditional artist and im kinda new to digital so this helped greatly!
When correction is trolling you hard. I pray
Oh mah gawd! Your art style is the best I've ever seen! Teach me your ways, glorious master Leslie!
7:53 normally when i color line art i do a slightly different color from whats next to the line art, but i always leave the eyes outlined in black, i guess i never know how to color them, but i kinda like it cause it draws (heh pun) your attention to the eyes. which most the time is the focus of my drawings
that's actually a pretty neat idea
I got my Wacom intuos art yesterday and I've been using krita but I decided to get fire alpaca aswell and clipping is so usefull for lineart and correction too! thank you for making this video :)
OMG i learned so much like my art became SO much better after I watched this video! Thank you so much! You're a life savor!!!

You have an appealing art style. You're also very pleasant to listen to.

Why Is Everything Capitalized? It Makes It Annoying To Read
Wow THANK YOU I have been _trying_ to figure that out for _ages_
you have absolutely no idea how much this helped me-- like seriously, I have watched all of your videos and I am a huge fan!
You have helped me slowly improve and it makes me so happy, so I hope you continue making your awesome videos because each one makes me smile--
PS- your voice is way too cute
i rlly love her style, its not harsh to look at at all i really like that
I learn a lot from you, LeslieLu. The idea of varying line weight and not always using black for lines really helps me. I trying to learn to be an artist, not just digital, and I think edges and the way they are applied are really important.
Thank you so much, this taught me a lot, and changed the way I would have done things, like coloring lineart!
Hey! I accidentally moved my brush tools and I don't know where I put them :\ Is there anyway I can get them back? ( I have tried reinstalling fire alpaca ) ♥
go to "windows" at the top of the screen and click on brushes :)
Thank you so much!
I love your art and I love that you help other struggling artists and I look up to u so hard
why doesn't she have 1 million subs 😍
i appreciate this channel so much, it seems like FireAlpaca is actually a decent and also free program and then you have these tutORIALS AND YOU'RE SO NICE AND YOUR ART IS CUTE TTHSDG
I've been watching your tutorial video and I want to say thank you so much!!! It's really helpful and inspiring at the same time.

I know this may sound weird, but you have an adorable voice! I love your videos and they are so helpful!
how to do blending mode on firealpaca? could u show us some tutorial for make shade, color dodge, gimic effect like snowfall or rainfall etc ?
I feel like I struggle with lineart the most! But I just need to keep practicing!✨
This is so helpful! :D I'm trying out your tips ^-^ Do more vids about Firealpaca :D it really helped me a lot.

Your channel has actually saved my life.
Your tutorials/tips for anything digital art or firealpaca related honestly help me so freaking much!!! Thanks!!❤❤
I loved the mention of line strengths and the eraser tip.
oh... my... God... CLIPPING, OMG, YOU ANGEL! I'm learning more than I ever did in school lol, now I'm off to your layer and coloring videos.
I just watched three of your videos in a row, and each one of them taught my something useful. Subbed!
Your goofy, talented self has earned a new subscriber~
OMFG THANKYOU FOR SHOWING ME THE CORRECTION THING I WAS GETTING REALLY FRUSTRATED AT MY WOBBLY LINES HAHAHAAH OMGGGGG MAHAL NA MAHAL KITA BESH
This was super helpful!! I just started using a tablet and firealpaca and your tutorials are my go-to for help
You should do live streams!!
i hope to one day!!!
Thanks for this! I just recently started to use FireAlpaca and your videos are super useful.
Thankyouuuu! It really helped me! My lineart is now smooth thanks to you! Lovelots!!
I love your style so much!! It’s super pretty and colorful and soft!!!
I like the fade in-out brush on firealpaca :) but it makes it look lazy in a way but I do love it
Whenever I try to color stuff in there's a faint white line between the line art and whatever i coloured in. I'm doing something wrong right?
Did you change the expand pixel setting to 1 on the bucket tool? That's probably what it is.
If you do Protect Alpha on a layer you can only change what's on that layer, so you could also do that for the line art layer and color it that way
thank you your channel helps me so much since im new at digital drawing and each of them just makes me feel less of an idiot when it comes to using the things on programs :D
ahahaha no worries!!! im glad i can help :"D
Here is another tip for coloring line art: check the protect alpha on the thing beside clipping and then go back to the line art layer when you wanna color it
i never knew what clipping was until now!! thank you so so so much!!
Thank you! I've really been struggling with lineart
i love keeping things sketchy, but when i do lineart, i like using the "sumi" brush in medibang, i love it so much. also i mostly use brown for lineart, but i like black if im trying to make things creepy
hahahahaah i cant keep my fingers on ctrl z
because iM LEFT HANDED-
Hey, I was recently drawing on fa for two months & I was wondering, what canvas size do you use? Like the starting size of the canvas 'cause I feel like mine is too big
i love how you use mac too, it makes things sm easier for me and cuz the controls and everything are the same. I see other youtubers, they use diff programs and diff pc and I would not be able to do as the way they do it but thank you sm :) i love your vids
watching her struggle with trying to open the correction option is just the best.
Yo, I learn great things from your tutorials, even if it's about something I already feel expert in.
You just saved my life... I've been using firealpaca for two years now and there's still so many things about it I don't know!
Tips on Airbrush tools? I mainly color/highlights/shade my drawings but i would love some more tips
Thank you so much for making this video!! its making major improvements on my art. :) do make more art tutorials
omg I always draw in real life and then I could just take a screenshot and draw over the picture on the computer xD
As the last ones, this is awesome! It's really helpful!
Keep doing these tutorial tuesdays because honestly these are the only art tutorial videos that I understand lol Since I only have FireAlpaca, these are super helpful so thank you friendo orz
+Michael Cruz aww thanks so much i'm glad theyre helpful!! :"D
2:56 actually to make it smoother you have to go slow and then the higher numbers will make it smoother
I learned so much just from this. I had no idea what the clipping option was for! I use Medibang too and have been using it for about 4 months, so I'm still exploring the features ~u~'
the only thing i needed was the correction setting to fix my shakey lineart ty for telling us about it and evrey thing else
Oh my god of course this helped you basically saved my drawing life all of your videos do!
Ahhh when you were talking about "Line weight" the official name is called Line Quality!! P.S: Great video, thanks for this. :)
You're such a great artist
Knowing how to colour the lineart is gonna save my life!
These videos really help me! I try not to actually copy you but rather take advice. Thanks to you my art went from "Eh", to decently looking art.
thank you soo much for the video and I'm definitely excited for your next tutorial
+numnummei awww you're welcome and thank you soo so much!! :"D
can you do a video on poses? As in anatomy when it comes to poses? BTW I LOVE YOUR ART SO MUCH HOLY CRAP
I heard somewhere that if you practice quick strokes on paper it translates a bit easier to digital.. not sure but it'd be a neat method to try~
I'm new and already love most of your vids
love your art!!
Thank you so much for all these tutorials, they have helped me so much :D
How do i color my sketch without going over the line art??? Please answer:(
Use a layer below. Or use the magic wand tool and click where you want to colour. Make sure you hit 'Expand pixel 1' so there is no white spaces left behind
I love your tutorials, thank you so much! :D
So, I'm on Cloud Alpaca, but the marker brush is different and I can't find that one you're using, do you know any other names given to the brush?
thank you, you beautiful human being, you have just made my life to much easier
+little miss awkward duck aww haha i'm glad!! :"D
This is so helpful, also I really love that oikawa drawing (I'm a big fan of haikyuu)
I use dark purple for lines :)
Or a blue pen ink colour.
OH MY GUAD THIS WAS SO HELPFUL!!!
So i had to go to bed early and i said "one more vid couldnt hurt right?"
After that i said "teach me what youve learned wise one"
I love you so much rn, couldn't figure this for the life of me
I tend to shade tiny spots where I'm sure the paint bucket won't get through and I will most likely to forget to color
Thanks to you i started digital art again xx
