Even though I was on of those disadvantage children I still became a CS engineer. But, my parents were and are married and pushed education (and I was a PBS&NPR child along with my siblings) like crazy and herself eventually became a chef. The problem has been systemic or the system creates throw away children and people. I did see a segment of this on the PBS show (which my mom watches a lto "To the Contrary" and it shocked me I just I wish we had more resources and more direction it would have made life soooooooo much easier. Just guidance alone, and how to access the system better would have really made reading for me sooo much easier.
@@samuraibushido7077 happy for you. Parents play a major role in shaping the future of the child and its good to know some parents like yours make the effort to encourage their children. It still remains as the story of a majority of students coming from low-income families. Having been an educator for this section of the population, I see and work to bridge the gap of this reality along with many others. Again, parents play a major role in supporting the implementation of a healthy encouraging environment for the child.
@@sanambudhrani7814 I agee!!!! But it saddens me that the summer slide's root, trigger and driver is rooted in systemic oppression. like red lining, food and green deserts ect. I very thankful for you!! I know in those days if the net was like now with the knowledge of credible sites-it would have taken the a lot of the sting out of the summer slide. Again I'm very thankful for your efforts:)!!!
