- This video taken in Jefferson, MD 21755 (10.17.19) is the optional Water Softener air injection upgrade for Hydrogen Sulfide sulfur smell removal we offer for the units we install. We installed a micronizer and air vent. This Patented Water Softener with Closed Pressure Aeration removes iron, hardness and hydrogen sulfide in one simple system. Owner Scott R. Handy explains in detail the installed components retrofitted after a customer developed the rotten egg smell in his well water requiring the optional upgrade.
What happens when your bladder tank gets full of air ? Your bladder is full of air and the water line will be injecting air into the tank where only water should be. The air will dissipate into the well tank as well. No air relief at the pressure tank?
The bladder tank does not get full of air. You only inject a small amount of air that is enough to oxidize the hydrogen sulfide and iron if any is present. Not sure what you mean when you say "The air will dissipate into the well tank as well" - once the water has reached the point of air saturation which happens right at the micronizer (or air pump) no more air can be mixed with the water so a small bubble of air is in the tank at all times. You are asking about an air relief at the pressure tank? Not needed my friend, the air water mix goes into the well tank from the incoming well line and simply leaves the tank as water is used in the home. The air is released from the air vent on the water softener tank - this is how I got my US Patents - patents.google.com/patent/US9499417?oq=9%2c499%2c417 and patents.google.com/patent/US9434626B2/en?oq=9%2c434%2c62
Hi- I have really bad rotten egg smell in my cold and hot water and does your system will work in my existing system. I have a bleach system, iron, Carbon and water softener system.
A stand alone air injection system could be installed for sulfur smell - MUCH BETTER than chlorine injection systems.
Where can I get those parts? I think this will solve my problem. I have a little sulfur but I have a lot of iron. If I can change it to ferrous before my sediment filter and water softener I think it will filter out.
What you are thinking will not work as you describe it Clint - sorry. This system is patented anyhow and I'm currently not selling nationwide as of yet just installing in my local area, besides that installing a system like this requires extensive knowledge of water treatment plus well and pump systems and is not something an most homeowners could do successfully.
@@Mr-Water-LLC-of-Maryland It’s not that difficult. Maybe most homeowners don’t have any skill. I just ended up adding fleck 2510aio with a birm media tank to achieve the same result. Oxidizes the iron so it can be filtered. Works just fine.
Can I order your patented air injection?
Sorry Chris it's not being offered for sale right now outside of our service area.
