If I ride Ducati I feel like I’m riding a MotoGP bike and if I ride the BMW I feel like I’m riding MotoGP safety bike.
Both are great bike though! My heart chooses BMW but I’ll go for Ducati if I had big money

Ducati : if you want heated grips and titanium exhaust, carbon fiber parts you pay more money for this add-on. But still love Ducati because stability ❤️
As a street rider, not a professional racer, the BMW comes standard with everything I need and more. The Ducati is a mechanical and artistic masterpiece. The only way I could I could truly be happy would be to purchase both. The BMW as my prized workhorse and the Ducati as my prized thoroughbred.

Ducati very easy. M1000RR at close to $40K with trash American Hayes braking calipers vs what all base S1000RRs had in past (Brembo), Ducati with Brembo Stylemas, no Öhlins (Ducati has full end-to-end) while BMW uses low grade Marzocchi, V4 has the better drive down low, BMW cheap graphics packaging, cheap blue painted rear sets, BMW S1000RR and BMW brand do not have a race winning pedigree (zero titles in WSB, failed attempt of joke engine in MotoGP for Collin Edwards) vs most WSBK titles at Ducati and 3 times MotoGP constructors championships. Ducati has the richer style, superior pedigree and superior quality of accessories.

The M1000RR is better than the V4 SP2 any day in the real world. It’s got Shift cam tech which means excellent mid range and low end power with an explosive top end. It got sat nap, cruise control, heated grips, hill start assist which the Ducati lacks. And yeah please check your facts, the M1000RR uses Nissin brakes which are made in collaboration with their M division hence they have the M logo on the caliber which is blue anodised and looks beautiful. And they brake better than the Ducati’s according to the MCN 2022 superbike shoot out. The Marzocchis are great and not low grade. The Duc is just 3 tents of a second faster than the M1000RR on track doesn’t mean that the M isn’t any good. And the Duc also costs a lot more and a lot less practical. I ain’t talking against Ducati, I respect them a lot it’s definitely ruling the liter bike segment but at the cost of practically and pricing. And BMW dominates the TT as well as world endurance championship. And remember that all WSBK bikes are pretty much equally as fast. Just that it’s depends a lot on the rider.

It's such a toss up, but in the end I would pay the extra money for the Ducati. If I was in a rural area it might be easier to find a BMW dealership.

That BMW is full spec. The SP2 is original, not with the Acra exhaust that comes with a special chip from Ducati gives it 10hp more.

this is the best series of comparisons. Buell is out with their new bike production. Maybe do one or more on their bikes. I own one, 2014, but it is hard to get what they have done to the upgrades to get into the market, the original EBR1190RX only had traction control. I would love to have that BMW or Panigale, but way out of my prize range.

These 2 bikes aren’t astronomically better than the rsv4 but it’s a noticeable difference
