I remember seeing a lot of ghost reaper during Master Duel Worlds Qualifiers since if you ran Kitkallos, Mikailis and Gigantic Spright it'd be live in like 70% of your matches
Floo players would sometimes run it as well, because you could just put the best 15 extra deck cards in your extra deck and it would almost always be live. I think the biggest barrier to that strategy was just how insanely expensive it was to get that many cards that you wouldn't actually use.
Ghost reaper tactically is very good in BO1 format, however your only need 1 copy plus it only very effective if going 2nd over going 1st also your must have good knowledge currently meta deck if want to used it. Sadly, ghost reaper been outclass by triple tactic thrust + herald of the abyss combo, in TCG and OCG, but in MD with limited deck space avialable, ghost reaper is the only choice your have even triple tactic thrust release. Floowandereeze, have no problem to play ghost reaper, other deck may not have such advantage like floowandereeze since you need to have something to counter Maxx C.
Talk all the shit about witches strike you want, but the look on your opponents face when they realized they wiped their entire hand and field by negating your card is priceless

I've always loved Chain Disappearance as a starter killer.
If opponent summons (norm or spec) monster with 1000 or less ATK, banish it and all other copies in their deck.
Had to dodge this in the King of the Island event going on a few days ago, was gonna ruin my Battlewasp plays

there are a couple others like that too.
Another such tech for Synchro decks is Gravity Collapse.
Sacrifice a Synchro to negate their first summon and lock them out of summoning for the rest of the turn.
Duality is really good in Cyber Dragon decks and helps with OTKs.
You can do:
Cyber Dragon -> Rampage
Rampage -> Cyber Dragon
Fortress -> Twin
ooh fortress into twin especially is a good shout

Witch's Strike is bad in the current meta, but it was much better when everyone was playing negates lile Toad, Gryphon Rider and Baronne.
I played an entire event with a deck that baits negates and rolls them with WS, it was hilarious and I had over 50% wr in that event
The problem has always been that if you're playing against a deck with lots of negates then witch's strike itself is likely to get negated, because they decided not to make it a counter trap. This is why it was totally useless when Drytron Herald was tearing thing up.
I know it's bad, but I play it in a lab deck on MD. It hardly ever goes off, but the times it does makes its inclusion worth it.

@@samuraituff9653 That's possible to accomplish, but you generally can't be certain if they have another negate or not, and you might even miss your opportunity to use it if you hold it for too long and they use less negates than you expected. Being a normal trap just really hampers this card. If it were a quick play spell or a counter-trap it would probably be a staple in some metas. People would live in fear every time they used Ash.

Supply Squad is pretty good in Unchained or Fire King decks.
Sales Ban is so stinky. It can't be destroyed like Prohibition, but it cuts you off of the card you call for the entire duel, so you really don't want those cards to be in your deck. It's peepee going first, and there are way better going second cards to force out or prevent disruption.
It actually saw play in master duel thanks to a card that summons a 4 material number 86. You activate sales ban to prevent the detach effect and lock your opponent from summoning. That’s the reason the card got banned.

At the beginning of MR4 I played 1 copy of Broken Line in every deck and sided it out post-game 1. Still convinced it is a good card but as soon as your opponent sees it once its dead. B U T in MR4 occupying one extra monster zone promises they will use the other making it free Solemn Strike... Nothing can change my mind.

Tbh i think part of the reason Cherries does not see play is more so the physical cost. Ussually the meta decks boss monster is like 50 bucks. And if you are a extravagance deck then you need to but 3 at that point i will just play the busted deck

Back in the day, Judgment of Anubis looked alright, but it’s seen basically no play over the years because the activation condition is too specific, and it would only really be viable turn 3 onward to get the best results.
People tried it when it came out even though it only worked on three cards. You were usually just better off playing magic jammer though.

Get Out! would be absolutely hilarious if it worked exactly as its card text read. If It shuffles those extra deck monsters into their deck, not the extra deck, that'd probably make it plenty good enough to see fringe play, since thats two guys that are now dead in the deck.
As a Salad player, Zealantis is a hard one to justify. I've played it maybe 2x ever. The first time I was like eh, it's mid. The 2nd time, I was like oh.... that's how it works. It can be a game changer in the right scenario. Didn't use it to reset effects, obviously Salamangreats are all hard once per turn. I think I used it to clear my link zone so I could go into wolf, and inadvertantly got over a "cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effect monster" And of course these days monsters are rarely special summoned correctly, so Zealantis did not bring it back. Ihad also given them a raging pheonix from weasel, so broughy it back to my side with zelantis, and they're board was empty. I had always thought of dumping it for something else, like a 3rd baelynx or something, but after that I was like "I'll just keep this card I never use just because of that".
Also Konami as a Salad Player give me Card of Last Will, i would play it at 3😂😂😂
btw, Armageddon designator is an unfair card, you can shutdown whole engines with it but its a double edged sword. strong in mirror matches

Duality and the other chaos spell are just some of the worst cards ever that have convinced a large portion of the playerbase that they are playable.
Being reliant on having already a way to play the game is just not acceptable in modern yugioh. Most 2 card combo pieces work with other cards in your deck, these don't.

Duality + Cyber Dragon = Chimeratec Rampage Dragon. Just cant use it's MST effect. You can also go into Accel Synchron and then do Synchro plays with Cyber Dragons (this is prob not as optimal). So Duality is useable.

Lullaby was pretty good in Lab in Master Duel's Fiend/Fairy event. There was a pretty high chance you'd end up in a mirror match, so it just became extra copies of Arianna or Lady.

Crossout is definitely better in Masterduel than TCG. It's insane in a mirror match, and of course the obvious Maxx C, Ash Negate, or even Called by.

Can someone explain to me why witch's strike is so bad it specifically reads if your opponent negates the norm./special summon of a monster or a card/effect activation, destroy all cards they control ans in their hand but I've been in numerous situations where that happened and there was never any prompt to trigger witch's strike
It has to negate the activation specifically in the second case, ash blossom for example negates the effect, while ghost belle negates the activation of an effect.
