I would never ever have thought to use acrylic or alcohol markers through a stencil on the gel plate -- THAT is why I look forward to your videos Birgit -- I learn something utterly new every time :)
Another excellent lesson! Must say...I found myself really liking the brayer roll off of the inks onto the scrap paper, the patterning looked lovely! TFS!!
I don't have any now but first thing I plan to do when I get markers is draw an abstract design then lightly mist the gel plate with rubbing alcohol or roll over it gently with hand sanitizer before pulling the print.
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. I'm just learning the basics and I've made my own gelli plate. I'm used to painting with acrylics. Do you put a protective layer of something on your art when it's dry?
I love using alcohol inks on my gel plate. Have watched many videos of Birgit Koopsen using this technique, I love her color sense

Do the alcohol inks stain the gel pad? One of the more recent videos done with Michaels stated it does.
Highly creative & effective-
Which paper are u using for the ink prints? 🎨
I'm using 200gr/90lbs copier paper :)

Thank you.
The paper seems to have a shine on it.
can bingo daubers be used on the gel plate without staining?
I tried this, and I can't get the stains off the plate. I tried oil and alcohol. Do you have any other ideas? Thanks!
nice video
At 4:58 you have a typo. Should be, "...too much to avoid..."
