Here's a pitch for the sudden death round. You ask questions from random categories to both contestants. Whoever gets the first incorrect answer loses the match. That gives it more of a "suspense" factor. Just a thought.
+Entertainment Glutton yea I agree with that they could have pieces of paper get asked a few questions and see who gets the most correct, and if they get they get the same amount you just keep going until someone wins
The Story of JTE is basically the Wolf of Wall Street: The Rise and Fall of a little intern turned little evil, and how his little ego led to his demise. Does anyone actually feel bad that he lost today? That smugness at the end really earns him his new nickname hahaha
You know what? I wouldn't mind a JTE vs. Finstock match in the Schmoedown. That's got to happen in the near future considering the history between the two. On another note, Collider really needs to invest in some buzzers during speed rounds.
People are complaining about Sudden Death? That's how JTE got a lot of his points in the team championship. I figured when they said what the sudden death was that JTE had it. So, it is what it is.
He most definitely did at 8:07 and 24:15. I thought he might've accidentally took a sip at 8:07 cause he's looking around to put it somewhere else, but nope. He's hold that thing with purpose. EDIT: Looks like he did drank it because he didn't want to be rude. Source: comment section.
+Kyle Clifton Brady doesn't deserve the amount of hate he gets. It's not like he deflated the footballs himself. He probably didn't even know about it. The Pats beat the Colts 45-10 anyways, so it's not like it even matters. And I'm not a Patriots fan, I'm just a fan of Tom Brady.
Do know the facts. Also knew I was poking the beehive. Yes the Patriots would have won anyway. Yes he did not need to cheat to win. Yes the Patriots were the better team. But equally true they broke the rules and got caught. The fact that it was stupid and unnecessary to cheat isn't really a defense.
Saw this comment when the vid started (reminding myself once again not to read comments until the Schmoedown is over...) I didn't feel like the SD was that bad. Perhaps it was because I was waiting for 24 minutes expecting something awful. Seems like it went as expected. There's the added stress of not wanting to get it wrong, but wanting to buzz in ASAP...I guess I don't understand why people are complaining.
JT was wearing a Doom shirt on Schmoes yesterday. Cursed? PS- JT admitted he didn't know answer anyway. I'm OK w/ their overtime system, cuz both had a chance to answer. Leave it as is.
Rewatching all these old matches really gives you a great insight into why the rules are what they are today. Like the way sudden death is done today with the whiteboards is much better than a speed round format.
I have never been so tempted to skip to the end for a Schmoedown before. Great match and I thought John and Kristian were very funny as the commentators.
Kristian, fantastic episode! Thanks for making it great, both you and John! The only thing I'd recommend is changing the Sudden Death level because it's not fair since it's determined by speed not knowledge and some people are just naturally slower/faster than others. Mark is extremely witty (as a comedian usually is) so naturally, he's faster with thinking and responding. But for someone else like JTE, he might not be as fast because people have different speeds so I think it's not fair. Perhaps you can make the last level something like the "Power of 10" game show where you try to have your answer be the closer range, for example: "what date did ______ come out?" and whoever has a closer range to the date gets it correct. Or you can make it a box office question like "how much did ____ make when it came out?" and again, who ever has a closer range gets the answer. Just a suggestion! Anything that is not determined by brain speed would be nicer! Thanks for reading!
Another great match! Been a fan of the show for a while, and I was wondering why the post-fight interviews don't happen in the ring like they do in real fights. Macuga does a great job, so I think it'd be cool to see. (maybe some more smack talk afterward like what happens in boxing.) Either way, awesome stuff.
Sudden Death should be them each answering their own separate questions based on the number they would choose. The first one to miss a question loses. Basically just back-and-forth questions until someone loses (and the other person gets their question right). Seems much more fair than a race to say your name.
Im here late but this was an epic contest. I must say though, the SALT EXUDING from JTE in that final interview makes The Red Sea water seem like tapwater.
John Campea is fucking brilliant on these schmoedowns.
im not a fan of campea at all, but i have to agree lol. he is a natural announcer
Same, sometimes he rambles on other things but not here, he settles down.
Most definetely, as +Mr Safety said, not a huge Campea fan, but the man in the schmoedown has been brilliant.
He is a combo of J.R from WWE and Bobby the Brain from WCW in their hayday which makes him a quasi heel announcer, Loved the crack about Mark Reilly
I love how he tried to lower his excitement when talking about them going into the third round.

sudden death round really sucks to be honest.. wish they made it better than that
i agree

Finstock just challenged JTE I'm pretty sure
JTE would crush him. Finstock is not very good.
"Ellis, every day he figures out how to put on his shoes is a win in this books." hilarious line of the day John! :)
Blockbuster ending after a lacklustre start
Man, this was the best schmoe down to date, JTE and Mark really did a great job.
John really shines in the announcer spot, like he was born to do this.
I"m 3 minutes in but I can safely say that John Campea was born to host The Ultimate Schmoedown.
Holy shit he's good.
I fucking love Campea. Congrats Ellis!
Hey JTE, win a match before you talk about your skills
he won 3 matches.....
+Chaise A and lost 3 straight
+Silent Conqueror yup
do your research before talking shit
+Anthony Smith still lost 3 straight
That sudden death round definitely needs to be reworked. Rough way to lose a match.
"Congratulations on the upgrade." Hilarious, Campea.
jte knows more than everyone else except when he has to answer his questions
The match I'm looking forward to the most is:
JTE vs FINSTOCK
LOL I love how it comes down to sudden death at the end and Mark just talks about it being a piece of cake in the post interview.
People are complaining about Sudden Death? That's how JTE got a lot of his points in the team championship. I figured when they said what the sudden death was that JTE had it. So, it is what it is.
Macugs, that was the most amount of shade I've ever seen thrown in a post match interview. Well done.
i would love to see chris stuckmann vs jeremy jahns
This was INSANE!!!! I loved it, great match guys!
Truly awesome match. Had me grinning so wide by the end!
Amazing match! Keep it up guys, can't wait for next weeks
Keep up the great work guys!
Wait wait wait wait... is Campea drinking a beer?!!
No dude. He has always said that he doesn't drink. That's why I'm surprised. I don't care if their drinking at all.
He got handed a beer by Finstock. Didn't look like he touched it, unless he took a sip out of politeness.
He most definitely did at 8:07 and 24:15. I thought he might've accidentally took a sip at 8:07 cause he's looking around to put it somewhere else, but nope. He's hold that thing with purpose. EDIT: Looks like he did drank it because he didn't want to be rude. Source: comment section.
great to see the chemistry between Kristian and John back and genuine:)
Damn JTE was salty asf in that final interview. Maybe he should've cheated like Tom Brady
Tom Brady doesn't cheat. Just saying.
Doesn't cheat well. Just saying.
Brady doesn't cheat. Another idiot who doesn't know the facts.
Sudden Death: gaaaahbage!!!!!!
yes it is

This Trivia Schmoedown was SO epic. WOW.
It was not till the Schmoedown that I knew movie trivia could be so intense
That sudden doom was so anticlimactic... Please think of something better and more exciting
JT was wearing a Doom shirt on Schmoes yesterday. Cursed?
PS- JT admitted he didn't know answer anyway. I'm OK w/ their overtime system, cuz both had a chance to answer. Leave it as is.
Stop complaining about sudden death. It's called sudden death.... SUDDEN.
This guy gets it.
The complaint is it SHOULDN'T be sudden death. They want it changed, so it's a valid complaint.
I like the way it is. If they changed it I wouldn't mind but there is something interesting about it coming down to just one question.
Theprophet524
I don't like it because saying your name quickly is not an indication of movie knowledge. I want it won or lost on film knowledge.
+Starshine Frost The complaint is STUPID. Sudden death is fine. Your opinion is also stupid
Rewatching all these old matches really gives you a great insight into why the rules are what they are today. Like the way sudden death is done today with the whiteboards is much better than a speed round format.
Kristian you're the man for creating this. An all star wars one would be pretty fucking cool might I add
This is my first schmoedown and what an episode to start!! :D
I loved the sudden death! It was so intense! Great match!
I was at the edge of my seat. That was the best match yet! Boom!!
I have never been so tempted to skip to the end for a Schmoedown before.
Great match and I thought John and Kristian were very funny as the commentators.
You guys should add a buzzer...thats real gameshow stuff right there son!
Man this was a thriller. great win Mark! Congrats
JTE turned from "Every man's hero" to "Little Evil" after alliance with "every man's villain" Sneider. Oh, things you do for the belts...
When you play the game of schmoedown, you win or you die
Kristian, fantastic episode! Thanks for making it great, both you and John! This one was so good. It really got my blood pumping. Love that Ellis won, great match.
I love these shows. Hilarious josh & JTE at the end.
what a match, as close as can be.
Congrats Mark!
what a match. be sure to update the Official Rules for Round 3, which still say there are 21 possible categories instead of 24.
This match was GREAT! I loved Ellis' entrance and shirt.
Garbage! Sudden death should be way more interesting than that! Great match otherwise. Fizzled out with a fart.
That was anti-climatic... Would've been better if they just did an extension of the third round
Yea that was super good till the end should of had them pick another number for 1 question each kinda lame ending that should be a rematch.
Sudden death should be a lightsaber duel
Christopher Skalicky Don't check the comments before watching lol. Plus I didn't say who won.
Sudden Death should be them each answering their own separate questions based on the number they would choose. The first one to miss a question loses. Basically just back-and-forth questions until someone loses (and the other person gets their question right). Seems much more fair than a race to say your name.
Sudden death should be like a spelling bee, each answers questions back and forth until someone misses one.
I really hope they have a third match. THAT WAS AWESOME!
omg that was so exciting. we were cheering when Ellis got to 8-9. Then he comes back for the win!! Epic.
Mark Ellis vs JTE 3 is going to be fucking huge man. I'm preordering that pay preview NOW.
Sudden death sucks. Just keep asking questions until someone gets it wrong. Like penalty kicks.
Didn't you post a lot in the IGN comment section? Especially during the 2013 Xbox One vs PS4 E3 war coverage?
Sure, why not.
TheDrunkenHer0
Thought I recognized your silly name.
This is my favorite thing to watch, other than movies of course :P Great show!
Hunchback of Notre Dame
"Ah good school"
LAMO JTE's face when Ellis gets the last answer right is priceless.
Damn that Sudden Death round was intense! Awesome match!
Great effing match guys! My boy took it!
Man JTE you went from the goofy intern to the Schmoes Public Enemy No. 1 with a heel turn so great that wrestlers are taking notes.
sudden death should be like a tennis deuce
Best Schmoedown match of all time!!!! Yesss Ellis!!! I was so nervous all through the match!!!
I loved the sudden death that was awesome lol
those first round questions were tricky. im guessing things are going to ramp up for next week as well
+Entertainment Glutton I think it's murrell/Reilly but might be wrong
JTE always loses to randomness. He deserves more credit than he gets.
He lost cause he didn't knew the answers,if he was that good he would've won
JTE also gets answers right by randomness as well. He takes the chances and plays the game. Well done to both or you guys.
Roberto Rosas Jr. k
you mean he always has an excuse like the team he supports
Thank you Mark for retiring the devil outfit.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah boi! Mark Ellis was lightning quick on that last round lol
Campea is a great guest commentator
"I dont even know what happens!" lmao
Glad that Ellis won but that sudden death round is really weak
GO MARK!! Haha loved the episode guys
Killer match!!! Epic!!!
Helluva match, HELL OF A MATCH!!!!!!
JTE: "I'm so much better than them!"
JTE: * *loses every time* *
What a great match you two!
Why don't you have a jeopardy style question for the final? Players have to wager on a category, could create lots of excitement.
It changes every week, but seriously, this was the best match
I've missed the classic John Campea finger point lol, great match Schmoes.
I love that this video attempted to have end credits 😂😂 #EditingMishaps hooray Ellis!
Im here late but this was an epic contest. I must say though, the SALT EXUDING from JTE in that final interview makes The Red Sea water seem like tapwater.
YES! Finally on the damn list aka "ranking".
Aghhhh! I knew the answer to every Pixar question, so this hurt.
amazing match. loving the loss of someone wearing a Pat's Jersey. Ellis is the man.
I love this show!!! This makes me feel like I am following sports. I feel like both a dork and a winner. 😂😂😂😂
what a great match!!! funnest match yet
These questions are surprisingly harder than previous weeks.
At least one of the Schmoes could win their fight against a ScreenJunkie. haha #WhyKristian:(
SEAN BEAN???? are you serious JTE
i know but it was still a bad guess
But John Noble is so famous from Fringe! I was screaming his name as JTE was thinking!
MAN I love this show
Yes!! Free beer for me this 4th of July!
that JTE intro music - Pusha T again, great choices
that was some edge of your seat shit right there
i love the schmoe down but it needs to be longer
John Campea should always commentate these matches.
Yes! I thought in the beginning he was going to lose but he managed to get around and win..really great match :)
Every time campea is on a collider video I cry my eyes out.
Cool Hand Luke Ellis!!! Good job brother. Way to pull it out in the end.
This was incredible
This was an awesome match up.
