to everyone who felt this song......just wanna say....isn't THAT ITSELF the magic power?....music can lift you up from your hardest struggles and tears.....leaving you smiling and unafraid to step forward on your path....music is THE ultimate form of art! (lol...paintings just don't do that for me you know?)
This comment is 8 years old but I wanna say YES! Music has always had the magic power for me and for that, I'm so thankful. And this song is PURE magic. 😊❤
So glad I found this song. I originally thought it was Styx that sang it. This song got me through my first heartbreak in high school. lol. 58 years old now and the melancholy just came flooding back and I was 17 again. Music really is magic!
Oh my God!!! Am I not taken back to my youth as I listen to this, a song I haven't heard or even thought about for many moons. Lots of us out here listened to Triumph when we were growing up and this particular song was our anthem. Thanks to the artists that made this song and peace.
Heard this on the radio on my drive to work the other day and it just lifted my spirits up! I couldn't help but roll down my windows in the middle of January and yell the lyrics I was just learning while listening to it! AH, what a great message and a powerful delivery!
I first heard this song in my early teens. I have had it on my play list for a very long time. It takes me back to days gone by. Sometimes I need to hear it when I'm feeling type of way. This will always be my #1 song.
This is such a good lyric, the one song ever written about music that really connects and probably their best tune. It's not a love song but it's like a love song to music's power to raise you up, no matter what's got you down.
Great music is powerful!! Its like a medicine that lifts up our spirits and soothes the soul!! I want to dedicate this song to Laure when she turns her little radio on! AND to all of you who know the power of great music! But most of all I'd like to dedicate this to the power who created all good things! What a loving and awesome POWER HE IS!!!!....
Best band I ever seen or knew personally. ..Triumph. Rik Emmett has an amazing voice...This was my favorite band in high school hamds down. . along with Jon Bon Jovi, Rush, Van Halen, Journey, Scorpions, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Great White, Blue Oyster Cult, Metallica, Ozzy, INXS, Loverboy, Pat Benatar, heart Queensryche, Zebra (Who's behind the door, Eric Clapton, a Box of Frogs, ...I pray I find that cassette again..Omgozh how could I forget Motley Crue AC\DC, ..my number 1!! Iron Maiden, Sinead O'Connor, Fleetwood Mac with Stevie Nicks, Yes, soooooo many more!!! The 80's...my son wishes he lived in that errar.m.Omg.. Bob Marley Jimi Hendrix , In Living Color, Supertramp, the Eagles, Santana Carlos Santana, David Gates and bread,& Boston.... . OMG s love the The Doors & The Beatles of courze
I agree with you 100% all of the bands you listed were great. I wish Johnny Bon Jovi wouldn't have got so political, but seen them/Cinderella in Germany while I was stationed there I also saw the Scorpions in Germany and Lita Ford. Fricken awesome, also Rush, Van Halen (1st row in 1984) Prince (i am from MN), Rush, Triumph, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, ACDC, Black Sabbath and many Oz fest's, ZZ Top, Neil Young, Kiss, Dio, The Firm, Robert Plant, Kansas, Foreigner, and many others....great experiences. I wish I could have seen Queensryche/Metallica. Today, in my view garbage music, but I am sure that's what my parents/grand parents thought about our era music too.
It’s my 57th birthday and a friend sent this to me! What a true friend! 🙏💕🤟🥹 This was our unofficial graduation song! The words still flood me with memories and emotion that I felt at 13! And always will!
Excellent! Music DOES in fact have a "magic power" when one is listening to music that they really enjoy. It provides an escape from the real world of mayhem that pestors us All!
The word music actually has a double meaning in this song, if you pay attention music is also referring to "dreaming". Replace the word "music" with "dreaming", as Rick Emmit intended, and you'll see a whole new meaning behind it;-)
We didn't have much from our Brothers from Canada. Love the beer that's been here before all. Rush and Triumph holds more in Rock during the time than any state in our US
Day on the Green, 1980, Oakland Coliseum with Sammy Hagar and a number of other great rock bands. 7 months pregnant, and they checked my stomach at the gate to make sure I wasn't smuggling something other than a human in. LOL
I feel like this song was written to have more meaning as it ages. Singing to the girls who weren't even born yet, it feels like he's singing for me. ❤️
It´s the geatest song for me from my favourite Band, rock on. But I love all songs of them, lucky to now them, I heard that song when I´m 14 and now 26 yeras later I love that song more and more!
Pretty sad that I have to listen to 60s 70s and 80s music to hear how a human voice singing sounds. I love it but some1 please make music good again. If you can't sing without your setup than your not a singer
There is one channel that I can recommend. 4 yrs. later after your comment. Try searching Sina-Drums here on youtube. She pretty much covers everything you said, and creating her own.
The most underrated band of its time. Love Triumph so much, all their songs are uplifting.
this song just takes me back to a time when i had no worries

One of the best songs which, if you don’t feel better after listening, ever was released.

Everytime we get goosebumps from music , I feel we release energy from our insides that makes it's way somewhere..
More than that it allows us to access regions of our Spirit we otherwise couldn't
it makes me feel young again!
