You can debate who is the better player, and I think a majority would probably say Iverson (I don't think I would). But judging by careers, I don't think it's really close. Chris Paul played in 149 playoff games, Iverson played in 71 playoff games. Chris Paul made more cumulative money in terms of strictly salary, excluding endorsements (about $330 million vs $155 million). Neither one won a championship. CP3 had more All-Star selections, more All-NBA selections. Iverson made the playoffs 8 times out of 14 seasons. Chris Paul made the playoffs 15 times out of 19 seasons. Iverson won 6 playoff series, Chris Paul won 11. Chris Paul's career regular season record is 817-455 (64.2%), which is the 17th most wins of all-time. Iverson's career regular season record is 466-448 (51.0%). CP3's playoff record is 76-73 (51.0%), Iverson's is 30-42 (41.7%). Iverson received MVP votes 8 years, CP3 received MVP votes 11 years. Iverson won 1 MVP (only time he finished in the top 3), CP3 has 0 MVP's, but has finished 2nd and 3rd in MVP voting. Listening to this discussion, which is supposed to be about who had the better career, not who was the better player in the abstract, probably 85% of the talking was about who was the better player, not who had the better career.

I'm picking CP3 career over AI

And before the gather step rule which allows players additional opportunities with their moves not available to Iverson.
Chris Paul (05-present) has played his entire career without hand check rules.
