@@GearBoxVideo maybe to do with them not being tuned much anymore and people returning to stock. They were commonly tuned to over 500hp back in the 90’s which is impressive for a 4 cylinder. A very popular car amongst criminals in the uk back in the day as nothing could catch them

@@GearBoxVideo why aren’t they commonly used in motorsport as opposed to straight cut gears? I’m guessing they are hard to machine
Cost os prohibitive and tooling would be for each individual hear where as woth some of the spur gear they can share tooling

I had a bunch of seirra t5 parts and one time made replacement 5th gears, but there was not enough demand to continue
