The state our economy is in, our PKR is barely holding on, very likely to fall over 300 again. We export very little but import a lot more, and pay for it by borrowing. Nowadays nobody is lending to us anymore. This doesn't bode well for our economy or our car prices.

Dear its engine is never connected with tires, therefore no shifting lag between EV/HEV. Engine used only as generator to support electric motors. It does not even have transmission. which is excellent technology. You can confirm this from BYD.

I have the new RAV4 and a 2023 Corolla both hybrid and there is no “Jhatka” when the car goes from Hybrid to petrol engine mode. That used to be the case in older Hybids, but Toyota has since fixed it. I have also driven and will be getting the new Corolla Cross and the transition between petrol to hybrid and vice versa are very smooth. No jitters or jhatka at all.
I hope these releases force the local three manufacturers and others to release their PHEVs in the market which are in the international market for several years.
Not ready for electric or plug in electric yet I think just getting our heads wrapped around hybrid models like prius or corolla cross , technology is not easy to take in for those who can afford these products just an opinion.

I don't think so it's proper AWD with drivetrain, ig it's petrol engine powers front wheels only and Dual motor setup powers each wheel on rear, these two systems are synchronised with each other to make it AWD. It's just my thought because it has no hump in rear passenger area so there's possibility it doesn't have drive shaft and rear differential.
