Would have been nice to include the common names for these knots. The slip knot around that shackle can be dangerous if the rope is sliding past the pin in the same direction as it unscrews. Not everyone understands the risks. Nice video.
Thanks and I try my best to have names for knots in videos. and I will post your Warning here: "The slip knot around that shackle can be dangerous if the rope is sliding past the pin in the same direction as it unscrews. Not everyone understands the risks. "
Great and useful video. Kill the crappy and useless music!
Glad you liked it, and I will go to find some new music
The music, any music, isn't going to add as much to your videos as you might think.

I'm knot gonna lie this is impressive

Here's the names I use for these knots/hitches, if I know a name:
0:00 I'm not familiar with this one.
0:24 Constrictor hitch used as a very loose lashing. Add some frapping turns around the horizontal axis at 0:29 to make it sturdier.
0:44 Clove hitch.
1:16 I'm not familiar with this one.
1:53 Hunter's bend, also called the false Zeppelin bend. You can tell by the "collars" around the standing end being on the same side.
2:32 Perfection loop tied in a very nice flourish!
2:39 Kalmyk loop.
3:03 Also a constrictor hitch.
3:13 I'm not familiar with this one.
3:32 Double constrictor hitch.
4:14 Munter hitch. And as another commenter mentioned, make sure the rope can't rub against the screw as this hitch can flip over without being untied and be used to go the other way. So, if it can grip the screw, it can unscrew it! Better to use in a ring or carabiner.
4:35 Starts as a cow hitch (or girth hitch or Lark's head), then wraps into a Prusik knot. The twist at 5:22 secures this in the same way a bull hitch is a secured cow hitch.
5:50 I'm not familiar with this one.
I think the 1st one is the Siberian Hitch and the 4th one is just another version of it.
@@777xino First one is a Mooring Hitch, I believe, and the 4th one is basically a Noose knot.
@@mydoggylives Thank you, I do believe you are right 👍
Very nice way how to tie the mooring hitch 👍
Glad you liked it!

How to tie a cargo net ?
I got it, and I will film the video to fill your requirements. Thanks
This video has a lot going for it, but it could be so much more useful by adding the names of the knots presented, and providing some usage info about each one. Case in point: You show several different knots for attaching a rope to a branch or pole, but don't provide any guidance on when to use each one, their strengths and weaknesses, etc. And since you also don't provide their names, viewers who don't already know those knots can't even look them up to find that missing info. And a nit: the title says "15 Essential Knots You Need To Know", while the description says "I think you will get a lot of use out of these 10 knots." 10 or 15? I didn't count them.
Hi David Murray, I will film more STEP-by-STEP long videos to demonstrate the uses of these knots, I will be building this channel for a long time, Hopefully you are still over here with us. Thanks.
Stop using that cascading pie pan cacophony noise as background music. Sheesh, there is a reason it is free.
Couldn’ watch due to awful music!🤬
Tip: your device has a volume control. You can in fact watch something without listening to the audio. Which, I agree, is aweful.
aweful?😅😅
@@Knot_Master Does dreadful work better? How about silence & stick to knots? Good presentation otherwise.
Meaningless
Couldn’t watch because of the annoying and distracting music. Better luck next time.
Sorry for that, and I will change music in next video.
