You guys made it thru......didn't have any doubt. That was some nice gear Voited sent you guys. We will be camping in Advance, NC around the middle of March.
Yes, it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. The gear from Voited definitely made our stay way more comfortable. We look forward to watching your video in Advance, NC. I'm sure yall will enjoy it.
I refuse to sleep anywhere without a heated blanket. I get so cold that I over bundle and end up sweating and sweating in the cold can kill you. Even at home in my bed with climate control my bed is heated 😅 and I take a heating pad for backup. But I've also got some thermacare back wrap things too just in case. Redundancy y'all... Edited to add: I have a 4 season camping pad that I blow up firmly and put a 2in foam mattress topper on top of it. It's more comfortable than my bed. I use a double cot and that allows for space underneath for storage. And my son pees in a bottle and I pee in a "Peesfun Emergency Urine Bag." Y'all look like you're freezing. Together! And that's what's up 😊 Edited one more time to add: If your tent has a mesh body and a rainfly over it, next time, throw some moving blankets over the mesh body so the heat doesn't rise and bleed out of the mesh. You don't want to trap it all because you'll wake up in a wet tent. Y'all did good! Just in case that wasn't clear, put your moving blankets on the mesh body and then your rainfly on top of that. The fabric will both breathe and hold some moisture so it's not to wet inside but it's not so cold either.
We did initially think about buying heated blankets but Voited collaborated with us to sponsor this video and we at least wanted to be real in our attempts to camp in the freezing cold without a heated blanket but we definitely understand. The heated pad is a good idea also.! Oh yeah and that is a great idea about covering the mesh and rain fly... your comment has Snatcher cracking up. Thanks for showing us LOVE we appreciate you..!
Tip to keep the heat in the tent. Put a tarp under your rain fly this helps to insulate so the heat don't escape out of the top of your tip. We go fall camping in North Carolina and it's gotten down to the 20s and our heaters stay toasty.
TIP go to your local fabric shop and get WOOL blend cut to size or UHaul moving company Home Depot for packing blankets they’re perfect for keeping the warm in your tent also it protects your airbed from deflation
You could also try to HotHands and put those in the bed. They also make body warmers that can stick on to your PJs. 😊😊 good job guys. You all are doing it.
Great idea!! I knew about the hot hands but I didn't think to purchase them, but I never knew about the body warmers. To put on your pajamas, that's a great idea for our next winter camping trip. Thanks for sharing..!!
@WhereverWeLand of course but honestly it's an idea I saw from Outdoor Boys. They camp in Alaska. Lol. So I guess if it'll help keep kids warm in -5 degrees, 28 degrees is easy peasy. But I knew y'all would make it.

You guys got some good supplies. I couldn't get linell in a tent in the summer. So i know winter is out. Love the adventure
Thank you.! I was the same way at first, and I finally said yes one day, and Snatcher has been dragging me out ever since 🤣 but I enjoy it..!!!
y'all need to super heat the tent . then fill up the air mattress with the hot air ,,! Love your vids guys !
Great advice, we will definitely do that. Thank you for watching our videos and supporting our channel.

Great tip. I think you have motivated us to try it again.!!
If you do winter camping in a tent you need a large tarp to go over the tent to hold the heat, if you don’t have 4 season tent.🌺😊😊
@@Tealilly1777 We have learned that the large tarp does help hold in heat. The downside is that it can cause moisture to form in the tent.
@@WhereverWeLand Wow! I’m actually watching you guys clamping in the dome. Love watching you guys.❤️🌺
Thank you so much for the kind words. Comments like these give us the motivation to keep recording. ❤️
I know this video is five months old. It took me back to deer hunting up here in Wisconsin aka winterconsin.
Wisconsin 🥶, now that’s really cold! Thanks for watching!

That is a really good tip, wow.. a moving blanket or two would be perfect. It's easy to store, and it's super warm. Thanks for sharing
Peaceful
You hit the nail on the head it was very peaceful.!
You could also try to HotHands and put those in the bed. They also make body warmers that can stick on to your PJs. 😊😊 good job guys. You all are doing it.

But I knew y'all would make it.
Do you plan to buy a Gazebo eventually? Like a Clam
Awesome, idea we really haven't thought about that. But we will definitely look into it. Any suggestions?
I haven't purchased one yet . But it's on my list. I have been doing research, and the Clam and Gazelles have good reviews.
@adriennebraxton3268 we will check those out. Thanks!
How do you keep your food items cold?
@shannoncampbell8537 good question. We keep a cooler in the car. Most campgrounds sell ice, so you can refill it as needed.
Which heater was the best?
The cheap Walmart one actually worked best for us. We still use it to this day.
28 is cold
It sure was, but we do it for the love of outdoors.!
Y’all don’t be scared of animals? What’s the go to for that?
We are aware of them so we are not afraid. We try to take precautions to keep us safe. Most importantly, we pray❤️
