Love your videos man. From your beginnings to now. A year ago I started my journey as a Desktop Support Analyst working at a hospital. Learned so much in that environment, proud to say im currently a security analyst intern for a software company in a SaaS cloud environment. Exactly what you said, take any oppourtunity you can in IT or Security. Keep it up man, this is such an amazing career to be apart of and super glad I stumbled upon your channel, cause I can truly say I can relate. Keep up the videos man!
Thanks a lot brother, congratulations to you for your journey as it is not easy, especially with rejection and that self doubt that may arise. Let me know if you need anything and thanks for watching and following my journey!
Just passed my sec+ today! You and your videos were a big motivation for me, seeing some one that looks like me crack into the cyber/IT world has lit a fire under me!
Wow, congratulations! Celebrate yourself in some way, that test isn’t easy! And I’m grateful my story has motivated you, there’s got to be more of us in the industry! Stay tuned for more content!
It was hard to focus with how loud the music comes in but still has some great information! I'm taking courses right now to get my Certification. I'm pumped, nervous, and tired lmao But I got this! You videos are a big help!
Good afternoon, everyone. Thanks for uploading. I'm currently in school to make the career switch from HR to Info Tech possibly looking into Cybersecurity or Cloud computing. I can't stop laughing at the "Quiet Storm" vibe you got going, man. I dig it, because you have some great info to share, so please keep it up. Take care, everyone!
@@Realitytc7very true! Nowadays people are mostly enslaved mentally and spiritually. If we don't allow ourselves to be limited by what we're told...we'll always be free.
Thank you for this. I'm at the beginning of my transition into cybersecurity and I'm glad you posted this. I've definitely been approaching this with no expectations. And, just being open - i'm looking at compliance and other non-tech areas in addition to junior/entry level positions. I'm doing this while also studying for both Google's Cybersecurity Professional Certificate and COMPTIA's Security+ certification. Cybersecurity is challenging but I'm enjoying learning about the field as I make my way into it...
Thanks for watching, you’re on the right path! A lot of people get these crazy expectations because of social media when social media only tells half the story, check out professor messer here on UA-cam for his free online playlist going over sec+ objectives.
@@Realitytc7Thanks! Yes, I would see all these videos about getting these high paying cybersecurity jobs with no degree or experience and i'm like why y'all lying like this?! LOL I'm new to the field - I know there are multiple ways to get in. I will figure out the way in for me and go from there. I'm looking at everything - remote and not (a great tip for folk in the same space as me - check your local and large chain banks for SOC Analyst positions - they often have them and Junior ones pop up. Same with IT etc.) I would love to get a decent paying first cybersecurity job. That might not happen. And, that's okay. I'm still committed to this path to get in. Also, you don't have to stay at your first job. Always keep looking for opportunities to push you further along on your path. I will definitely take a look at Professor Messer's page - so many people have recommended him to me.
As a Jr Soc analyst here in Germany with no experience, my salary converts to about 52k USD. What most ppl overlook is that fact that getting your foot in the door is more important than salary early on in your career.
Are you aware of the 3 million unfilled Cybersecurity jobs statistic that gets thrown around? and, if so, have you noticed or do you know if that surplus in jobs plays a factor in negotiating salary or quickness in being hired (after you get certified, of course)
In my opinion that stat doesn’t tell the whole truth, those all aren’t entry level jobs they require experience and hidden in those are companies that will take you with no experience, but obviously the best of the best talent will have the best situations with salary negotiations

I’m currently on the same path as you. Hoping to take security plus within the next month!
Watch this at 2x speed so that it seems normal.
Fr fr
Lol what do y’all mean so that it seems normal?
😂😂😂
@@Realitytc7if you play the video at normal speed it feels like it’s in slow motion. Play it at x2 speed and it much better.
@@Realitytc7the music sounds like it slow motion fr plus you’re speaking unusually slow… (bedroom voice) 🫣😂
Thanks for another video! Looking forward to more!
Thanks for watching! Got some heat coming!

Haha thanks for watching! It’s possible, you’re only limited by the limits you place on yourself!
