As for the ink colors, Red would make it looks like blood when inklings get splatted, while white...Um, it explains itself. But Black should've been a color too. Hopefully in Splatoon 2 we'll at least get red and black in an update (if people are vocal enough)

It's my opinion, it's ok if you disagree or agree-
If Nintendo adds Red, Black or red it's not gonna be good. Red looks like blood, so if someone splats you, it looks like a death zone. Black kind of looks dark and sure it's realistic for squids but Splatoon is more like a bright game. And in some maps, the black ink will be hard to see. And White...Some players might be a bit immature and is kind of weird. And white isn't much of a color for Splatoon.

Most standard weapons of each type is prefixed by "splat" (Splattershot, Splat Roller etc). But the standard weapons of the Blaster and Slosher types... are just called "Blaster" and "Slosher".
