So the best advice I give is to try to get into the sport as early as possible at any level you can. Build for whatever competition is local to you, at whatever weight class it is. There are many lessons you have to just learn by competing and it's a far more forgiving environment at local events than at Battlebots. Plus they're 10x cheaper. This applies double if you're attempting something new and unique. The most important part of our application was videos of Tiny Huge (3lb) and Huge (30lb) and it probably tipped the scales in favor of us getting accepted.
@@radarred4529 The best place to find people is probably at other robot events honestly. It's where our team was formed from. So getting there with your own beetle is the best way to convince people to join you! Check out this guide: wiki.robojackets.org/3lb_Beginner%27s_Guide This should help hone what you want to do, and this guide should teach you everything you need to know. www.riobotz.com/riobotz-combot-tutorial
I wish you go to the top 16 again I love HUGE and how people got surprised by its power. It would be awesome if you beat the champion( bite force) or Icewave for a HUGe revenge!
as much as i love the ingenuity. and god damn that death hum. it's still a giant target for spinners. horizontal ones like RotatoR and Tombstone especially
Any particular reason why you didn't go with wheels without cutouts in them (Robot Wars Gabriel)? That design has proven itself to just eat spinner hits all day long without failing.
These are our "normal" wheels, kind of a catchall for most types of opponents. They're full-height so anybody tall, they have weight for lots of rubber so anybody we want to chase or run away from, and they are the perfect shape for fighting vertical spinners since they generally can't attack the spokes directly. So basically, lots of people!
If team huge reads the comments I was wondering if you would let me send a poster I drew of huge, I'm already sending whyachi a poster I drew for their team, but have to mail it out because I don't have face book, Twitter, or anything like that. If you want me to send it to you just email me and thank you for your time and GO HHHHUUUGGGEEE !!!!😆
Huge with a death hum GOD HELPS US ALL in all serious looking forward to seeing you guys this year and I hope you guys make it to the round of 16
huge vs mammoth NEEDS TO HAPPEN
Well, It’s a year later and you got your wish.
I come from the future to tell you that the fight you wished for happened.
Xd
How you doing?
Moist pony doesn't stand a chance
Oof
Watching this after the hydra fight, I hope you guys get a better matchup with a less salty opponent next time.
bruh that hydra fight sucked. I really hope other teams don't try to copy that because it would pretty much mean the end to huge.
GOLD TEAM RULES
Is it just me or has he gotten even bigger since last season
It has :D
Hey Jonathan. I'm planning to get on Battlebots in 2020. Any advice?

@@JonathanSchultz Well, I don't have any real experience in building robots like that. Where am I going to get together a team to help me?
