Mate I've been fiddling around playing guitar and harmonica for over 20 years studying paid online harmonica lessons, watching and listening to other people do the same and never once did the penny drop fully until watching this vid. Thank you and well done for the awakening. It would be great to see more .......hint hint.
I've been a musician my whole life, and paid for a good portion of it. If you want to be comfortable on stage practice until it is 2nd nature. Internalization is absolutely key.
I play guitar for years and bought harmonicas to try the next step. I've been searching for something like your lesson. Excelent work. Thanks for your time.
I started off thinking: This is good for someone starting out with either or both instruments, but could be a waste of time if you already play guitar and harp and just want to put them together. But as it reached the end, I think I actually did pick some tips up that were worth the 23 minutes!! :-)
Thanks Dave, I aim just to pass on some tips that have helped me over the years... always happy to assist. :) Here is one of my recent videos with a bit more harp / guitar....ua-cam.com/video/DKbR1BD-aOE/v-deo.html
Lil Chuck great job! Your attitude, direction, technique of learning is not so little- it’s HUGE. Best unpretentious, factual, ordinary, loose music playing video I’ve seen. All your breakdowns, tips on melody, rhythm & timing are right on. Two other suggestions I first learned: Stones Midnight Rambler & The Doors Roadhouse Blues. Love The Pogues, pour a pint & play!
I tutorial was really superb. So man tips you gave for free. 23 min great time spent to give the lesson to us which you probably took many years. You are good man. Im 70 yrs isolated and quarantined in Mumbai India. I got my harmonica, guitar and had rusted harmonica holder. You have given adequate info which otherwise would have to go throug several videos. Thanks man God bless you. Stay home be safe.
I have a good understanding of guitar and play a little harmonica, just ordered my first rack to try out the two together. Can't wait for it to arrive. Your video was extremely helpful and I'm feeling excited and hopeful. Thankyou. You teach well
Same here, bieng playing harp and guitar for 20 years, slow process, but we all learn at different speeds i guesse, just a hobby for me,but got out busking and it has helped me play more and have more fun spreading joy and music.
You brought structure that was void in my learning. Thank you. Your presentation simplified my frustration. Now I have a direction to practice, specifically with regard to the metronome. I've been playing guitar for 55 years and just started with the Harmonica. Looking forward to to expanding my fun. Thanks again.
Well explained. Great stuff just started guitar, also got myself harmonica, I am 70, so a bit late in life. But never to late, actually love most musicals instruments. And midis is all I think about, love to learn how to play the harmonica tune halfway through midnight cowboy,
Oh Lil' Chuck, never mind heart of gold, I think I've struck gold with your vids. THANK YOU, I'm 75, used to be a pro. session drummer, heart attack meant I had to give that up, still got my sense of rhythm, took up guitar to play rhythm, (and not so physical!) so I understand chords (Nashville No system etc) I want to add harmonica, to break up the verse/chorus/verse thing, and to play with my chums at local pub sessions. Most You- Tubes only want to do blues/chugging/single note accuracy/bending/ etc I just want to blow-draw over chords like your Dylan/Young etc You have opened the door ! I'll be back 🙂 thank you

I'm rocking a similar setup with ukulele, harp and drums. I'm mostly looking for rack tips regarding harp control. For instance, I'm working on Run Through the Jungle by CCR and it's kind of challenging to simulate the dynamics and bending notes without using hands. Hope I can find another of your vids may cover the topic, otherwise it's just up to freaking practicing!
Cheers Andy, Thanks for checking in...feel free to check out my other vids on playing The Blues scale & Blues harp in a rack... get all of the single note / bending techniques really well and it it will all come together... but yeah, hours and hours and hours of practice.
