They know they love each other and wouldn't say things to intentionally hurt the other. I have friends who have been married for over 25 years and in all that time they had one argument. They choose to speak lovingly and their home is very peaceful!
If you're starting at a place of already genuinely liking and respecting each other and agreeing on the big things in life, fewer things seem like "flaws." You kind of just accept them as "that weird thing that they do" and regard them as the little things that they are.
This is a thoughtful, kindly communicated partner exercise. I appreciate the connection you made between mindfulness, caring for yourself, and being open to improvement. Well made, as always, and in great taste.

Okay I know I'm not Chyna and I don't have to live with it but I really dug the knee-patting book reading thing, and I kind of want an entire video of a book read by Chyna, patted by Craig.
This has been the most wholesome content. I love how these "flaws" are really just minuscule things when you are together for awhile. Thanks for putting a smile on my face! :)
This video literally filled me with glee. I wish all partners did this, especially husbands. This is fucking great, Craig. Edit: the part about spending more one on one time w your daughter? How she's "kind of obsessed with you lately." I'm crying this is such a good video I love yall
I very much appreciated this video, it’s thoughtful and kind and it shows how much we need to be communicating more with the people we care about ! Thank you !
Craig, watching your videos have always been so enjoyable for me for years. But as of recently in the past couple years, they’ve brought me comfort. My father passed away, and I loved him so much, he was my best friend and he was so supportive of me. You remind me of him, especially because you’re so silly and goofy just like he was, you and him had the same kind of silliness. Your daughter is such a lucky lil girl ❤️ thank you for your videos!
I loved that he brought in the clone in this one! I miss the old stuff a lot, like explosion Wednesday, Time for Coffee, and all that. Craig's content has changed so much over the years!
For the minor stuffs like this (small habits and so on) this approach is harmless. But when it comes to big stuffs like characteristic, psychological issue, emotional instability, this kind of approach is not so helpful and can be actually harmful. You will need whole different approach and transformation of paradigm. Through seriously difficult challenges in relationship over time I realized that there is no good or bad qualities of a partner in relationship, everything is matter of how I take it. And the growth and reward from that kind of mindset is priceless.
Watched quite a few of these videos now, they’re always interesting, always entertaining and I love the dynamic with Chyna - you work together and are invested in polishing that relationship. Bravo!
I’m all for improvement but I don’t think you should stop the silly singing/reading for the baby. It builds a love of reading and togetherness with her. C can read her way without your leg patting and you can read your way. Kids love songs, voices and music.
Accents, inflection, and sing-songy reading have been shown to be beneficial to children in research that I've seen. And as a music teacher I know that rhythmic chanting develops an internal sense of beat from a young age. It would be a shame for him to stop that. The idea that you need to talk to your children like a small grown-up is misguided.
One night for the heck of it, I took a hand puppet I had when I was a kid and just made up a story for my son and then, on, I had raised his expectation for story time...like Aladdin...
At night sometimes I have to find videos I like enough to convince and distract myself enough to stretch/do yoga to and yours are some of them!!! That sentence is not well put together but ty!!!

I'm happy if my husband at least straightens the covers before he gets in. He usually just flops on top however it happens to be. Blankets on the floor, clothes on the bed. Doesn't matter. If I fits, I sleeps.
At my home I make the bed when I get up but then my girlfriend makes the bed when we go to sleep. Not because I did a poor job but because the making of the bed has expired(!). It needs to be fresh, she says.
I know you are supposed to get some kind of mental benefit from doing your bed, but I just don't get it. I fluff up my pillows so they don't get clumpy, but it's the bedroom. Next time I see that bed is when I get into it, so why bother :D
@@RemizZ It does help with general upkeep and getting going with your day. Good video! In my relationship I'm the one who interrupts to say something funny. I've got to stop that. It will probably improve my relationship. If I, indeed, do it! Great list.
So, I've thought about this concept a lot, in the form of asking someone, especially your family, about your flaws and this is my problem with it. 1) What if what they do not like is one of the things you like most about yourself? a) Should I then value their evaluation of my characteristics more than mine? The problem grows if they would expect you to expect their response in face value. For example "You being funny(is one of your flaws)" which china initially said is much different from "do not interrupt me when I'm serious," which was the actual problem. But if You try to probe the actual problem in many cases they would take it as you not wanting to accept the problem. b) If she is accurate of her evaluation, and me with mine, then should I try to change my interactions specifically with her so I'm basically playing a role when spending time with my family? Even if everyone agrees with her, should I censor myself, is that healthy? 2) They would expect change after that. a) They would expect change regardless of whether or not you actually see their criticism valid. b) They expect change regardless/unaware of how much time and energy that would cost you. c) Their expectation of change, now that they are looking for that characteristic, makes them less accepting of your possible flaw. 3) When making characters for my stories, I've learned flaws are things characters need to feel natural. When would removing a flaw make you a better human, and when would it make you lesser human? - this is less about the interaction and more about the whole self improvement. It's also much more about what you think you are. Are you a thing that can be changed, maybe every self improvement is a filter over true "You" which if practiced enough you forget of its existence, or maybe there is no "You" apart from the chemical reactions in your head and changing the output is all there is to change.
Aint censoring if its a change. Censoring is literally blocking something. Yes characters do need flaws or to think of it another way the nature in which they have grown up in creates different people. Which in turn creates different flaws and there are no "flawless" people because it is you, the observer that decides if it is a flaw of theirs.
Just read highly rhythmic books, in what ever voice or cadence. Doesn't matter what voice or rhythm one uses. If the child is enjoying it and getting a lot from it, have fun with the voices and just read. They're so important to early reading.

Man, who would've thought that couples can do this without bursting into an argument lol
I low-key expected to see them get into a spat at some point, or for some tension to show beneath the surface. Can I swap my parents for them?
They stuck to superficial topics. If they dug deeper into the important stuff, there would have been way more tension.

So, I've thought about this concept a lot, in the form of asking someone, especially your family, about your flaws and this is my problem with it.

b) If she is accurate of her evaluation, and me with mine, then should I try to change my interactions specifically with her so I'm basically playing a role when spending time with my family? Even if everyone agrees with her, should I censor myself, is that healthy?
2) They would expect change after that.
a) They would expect change regardless of whether or not you actually see their criticism valid.
b) They expect change regardless/unaware of how much time and energy that would cost you.
c) Their expectation of change, now that they are looking for that characteristic, makes them less accepting of your possible flaw.
3) When making characters for my stories, I've learned flaws are things characters need to feel natural. When would removing a flaw make you a better human, and when would it make you lesser human?
