- One of the highlights of my Sea Otter trip was meeting Ali Clarkson, a fellow UA-camr and world class trials rider who I've only spoken to on the Internet. We only had about an hour to spare, so I took the opportunity to get a trials lesson from him!

My mistake on the brakes. I get so many comments that mine are “backwards” I though we must be the only ones doing it. Thanks to Ali for the tips! I hope we get to ride again soon.

yes, but being scared stops you from doing stupid things which could hurt. haha
It really is true! If anything, it ensures you'll get hurt, as you're way more likely to hesitate, which is a great way to crash. I find that once I decide to do something, I just gotta commit and go for it!

@@judechandler5102 no, that's not how he got paralysed, he fell off a 3 meter bar for a live show, there's no foam pit or anything, he landed while twisting and on his head, which fractured a vertebrae.

Yeah, in mountain biking. But not really great life advice. Often times being scared is the first sign of danger.

AFAIK it’s only is Brits who have our brakes moto style (right hand front) as a standard setup.
thanks for clearing that up! They’re very vocal in the comments about my brakes being oriented wrong so I thought more countries were moto.
Aussies have them moto too
i heard it's because of the side of the road we use rather than following moto, for hand signals.
Not quite, down here in Australia and New Zealand we both run our brakes that way...

I gotta say, Seth, you're a baddass. You picked that stuff up really quick and looked 99% as smooth as Ali did. Nice job! He definitely takes it to another level, but I believe that with the right bike and a few months practice you could do all those things too.

If it makes you feel any better, I took out one of Ali's friends with my American brakes when I visited Scotland hahaha. (And also promptly did exactly the same thing on their bike)

Seth you are the man! I don't think I could ride a bike with backwards brakes, let alone do a drop perfectly by the 4th try. Also - Huge props to you doing that masive drop on your own bike. That thing had to of been at least 7 feet talk. All the way to flat. You both make things look so smooth and non painful. My knees and back hurt from just watching you two do these drops lol. Again, another awesome video! Keep up the awesome footage and do some more trial videos with Ali!! That man is insaine on a bike! Cheers mate!
