Once again! Very knowledgeable! Very informative! And very professional!! Hands down the absolute best "Hair UA-cam-r" on UA-cam!!! Thx for all your help!! 🤗
I like how you said in the beginning about there being no one "true" products that works best for EVERYONE. I cannot stress that enough especially when someone ask me what I use for my hair, I always through that disclaimer out there also.
No pressure…but I’m missing you Mo. Going back to your oldies but goodies on conditioners. Trying to kind a deep conditioner at a lower price point than Aveda to try out to hold me over until your DC re-release (your previous DC was amazing and I just finished my last jar😢). Some of the products in this vid like Agadir and carols daughter Monoi are not being sold. For future vid ideas, I would love an up-updated hair routine on your dc recommendations including which dc’s can be used weekly…it’s so much out there. I like starting with your recommendations first and going from there.
thank you sooooo much for defining "moisture" for people... I've heard too many people incorrectly state that oil = moisture... this entire video was informative!
Your videos are always so thorough and informative! I just love how you bust through all these natural hair fables by speaking truth!! Thank you!! 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼👍🏼
I felt attacked when she said we complain about the price of products but we're just using them wrong! How did she know?!? 😂😂😂 honestly I thought more would be better but goodness scaling back on how much conditioner I use has saved me some pennies.
You have no idea how much your videos has helped me. I’m experiencing heat damaged hair and I’m putting together a regimen to grow it out. Your videos are very informative and I thank you.
Can we call your talks "Mo-ments"? Lol very informative as always. Can you do a video on how to recognize which chemicals in products are not harmful for our hair? The first thing we think when we see an ingredient with a name we can't pronounce is that its bad for our hair, but that isn't the case.
Thanks so much for this video. Conditioner plopping on the bathroom floor...guilty LOL! I will definitely be changing up the way I currently deep condition. Thanks again!
Maaan, I sooooo wish I was in your country Monica, you would be my PERSONAL hair dresser. You are the first person I subscribed to and I'm so glad I did. Love your information and you're so in detail. I've never done a wash n go until I saw you (because of my damaged hair), you helped me to gain more confidence with my hair styling and I got compliments so thank you for all your efforts. Keep doing what you're doing cause it's well appreciated. Thank you and God bless you.
I may give carrols daughter a try. I'm 16 months post relaxer and I have found my hair responds really well to silk protein products. It is making my wash days and managing the two textures easier
Always straight, informative and to the point. Truly a woman who is serious about her craft. 🙅🏽. Since I shed I will definitely look into your recommendations. Extra Fine, extra thin hair is the worse!!! O N I'll also cease and assist with globs of conditioner in the shower...LOL, GUILTY!!!
Yesss!! With these pearls of wisdom!! Thank you so very much for this educated information... learning the difference moisturizing & protein based repair conditioners is exactly what I needed. I never understood why my hair was brittle and hard after using repair conditioners....I thought my hair was damaged because it was dry... all I probably needed was just more moisture!! Gees!! I will definitely pay attention to labels now. Also thanks for the coconut oil side note... it never worked for my hair anyway. This was a gold mine video for me.
All that I can say is....sighing and a respectful bow...thank you! Most of the natural products most naturals can use just do not work for me. I've found that reading what the product says it does helps me instead of just trying stuff bc everyone else is raging about it. Tresemme does wonders and it's in my budget and I love Aveda products when I want to splurge. Praise the Lord Chicago has an Aveda school. This is good information. Bless you ❤️
Mo! When I first went natural, I always watched your videos and loved them. And I just kinda stopped, don't know why, (probably because I got busy with having a new born :)) anywho, your videos are so informative!! Not based on opinion, but facts from a professional, and I love it and thank you ❤💕
I just found your channel & I must say...I love you! Your delivery is like no other. You break down every product in layman's term for us & I really appreciate it. It's overwhelming at times....so many products & I tend to bounce around. Your advice on keeping records is on point...I need to do this. I've found that Carol's Daughter products works well with my 4c type & Wen products which is very expensive but I think I need to go back. I'm in my year mark of natural & I'm loving my hair now. TFI😍
I crown thee Queen of the hair: Ms. Mo👸🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Great video. I was just thinking about this yesterday when I was looking for more hydrating and a damage maintenance products.
This is the video I needed to see! With everything I was like, "Yes, thank you Mo!" Perfect reference video!! That's why coconut oil made my hair hard. Stopped using it long ago because of that. I've learned so so much from you! 😃
i adore you and your channel so much💓🌿✨ been watching you since i was like 13 when i first went natural and now i'm 16 and my hair is healthier and curliest than ever😌
This was pretty helpful. I kept ignoring the fact that my d.c. has words that allude to it being a protein treatment rather than strictly moisturizing, and I just don't do enough to need so much protein. I'll definitely get it sorted out soon so thanks for that. :p Also, it would be cool if this was a start to a series of videos that covered how to choose shampoos, leave-in conditioners (liquids, creams, butters), and styling products (including heat protectants). I know you've touched a bit on all of these in various videos but it might as well be new and all together.
I ran out of my preferred moisture DC a while ago and have just been trying to finish the other DC I have, which has protein in it. For that reason I don't DC after every wash but your video is a reminder to get a moisture DC. I've been wanting to go back to Aveda for a while now so I'm going to try the Dry Remedy line. Thanks so much!
Great video personally I like Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner. called The Conditioner it has aloe, algae extract and is really light especially for summer.
Great Video Mo! My takeaway from it is to document what works and what doesn't so that I can have a much more firm regimen with my wash days and styles afterward.
I needed this video bad. I've been taking iron for my low iron levels and my hair has been giving me the blues. I thought my ends were damaged so I cut two inches off and I was still getting no where. I did an at home strand test and my hair just snapped. now I know what I need. if this doesn't help to a stylist I go.
Destined2bGreat might need protein love. I went through similar breakage horrors, no matter how moisture I applied (started daily) my hairI was still dry as hay. I just needed to get my moisture - protein balance back in check.
This is a very informative video and I definitely need to pay attention to my hair, because I have shedding always when I was and my hair gets frizzy and dry. Thank you Mo
I loved how you broke down the different conditioners and their uses. Very informative and straight up! I never buy the shampoo with the deep conditioner. Maybe I need to start doing that.
Love all the informative videos. Could you do a video on children's natural hair. Just general info on protective styling, daily/weekly upkeep and maintenance.
Hi Beautiful Guru. First I'd like to say THANKX for Actually Knowing what your talking about instead of Just giving your opinion. THANX for being relatable, professional and Caring. How do you feel about Shea Moisture/Jamaican Black Castor Oil line?
You have read my mind!!!! This is exactly what I was looking for. I cant say thank you enough!!!! I use the Ouidad hair mask based on your previous recommendation I get lots of compliments on my hair. Thumbs up for mentioning that heat feeling you get when using the product. I thought it was only me. God Bless YOU!
Just came here from the new line Mo Knows Hair. I’ve been missing some valuable information!!! Would have made my natural hair journey so much easier. I enjoyed this video, so much information but not overwhelming. I have a lot to catch up on.
I know one thing you suggested steam treatments for helping with the curl patterns. Combining a hooded steamer and salon deep conditioner has brought back my curl pattern. I am not 100% yet but I know I'm on my way. (My curl pattern was "damaged/stretched" by tight protective styles) MO KNOWS HAIR !!!!
You are so pretty and your hair is always gorgeous no matter what hairstyle you wear. I love your channel. I have learned so much that I never knew about proper hair care watching it. Take care!
I love the education you bring, and break it down. thank you. I love Aveda products, I do have color with lift, no breakage, but my hair does shed. it is not dry, not sure what would help. any advise?
Hi Mo!!! I always enjoy your videos. Could you do a series on coconut-free products. Myself and others are allergic to the point of hives. THANK YOU!!! XOX
new subscriber. Thanks outstanding council l needed to hear this information understanding and paying attention to what your hair need to become long and healthy.
I am so glad you mentioned the warming sensation of the Ouidad because I tried it twice and the 2nd time it scared me lol. I always want to revisit it but have flashbacks 🤦🏾♀️. Now I know it is normal. Thank you👏🏾👏🏾.
I truly enjoyed this video. It was very informative and professional. Can you please consider doing another video like this for shampoos, leave-ins, and moisturizing conditioners as well ?
Love you! you're so passionate about healthy hair & you break down the products so well. Thank you for being such an inspiration as I work towards my goals. 💜
awww thx mo I will be back . Im relaxed and I dont venture out of my routine but you mentioned about moisture and protein balance . I really enjoy the advice u shared and I will try certain lines that you recommended . My hair falls under low porosity and i am severally allergic to shea butter so i really keep my peeled on the ingredients
I'm so glad to have a licensed cosmetologist on UA-cam giving advice. Real and informative! Thanks Mo!
@Clifton Knisely wtf
@Cullen Randy y'all are creppy asf🤢
Thanks Mo. I’ve heard you speak about personal clients. How do I get a consultation with you or a designee
Mo is the best on UA-cam
I was just thinking that. Such an inspiration.
Word!
Yup, Hands down!
Yes she is❤️❤️❤️❤️
There is no one better on UA-cam. I're learned so much from Monica on this natural hair journey.
"30 minutes, 45 minutes, overnight, 3 days" this had me cracking up😂😂😂😂 so true
lilaisa123 ummm, lemme go take out this overnight conditioner. Lolol
Can you do a salon tour????
Very informative. In this video, you remind me of Chaka Khan.😊💄🎤
Sandra Jenifer I thought the same thing.
No pressure…but I’m missing you Mo. Going back to your oldies but goodies on conditioners. When à person actually cares. Mo you are a god send. Much love, more life and blessings
Your videos are always so thorough and informative! I just love how you bust through all these natural hair fables by speaking truth!! Thank you!! 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼👍🏼
Marta Santiago yes!! So true. She always get me back to reality lol.
Who would thumbs down 👎🏾 this video???? I LOVE this lady, the best information I’ve seen on hair products PERIOD. You 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 From me!
I felt attacked when she said we complain about the price of products but we're just using them wrong! How did she know?!? 😂😂😂 honestly I thought more would be better but goodness scaling back on how much conditioner I use has saved me some pennies.
If it's highly concentrated, you don't. If you emulsify it in your hand, then spread it will go a long way. I thought the same way you think.
lmbo...me too...lol
Hey Mo, can you do videos on high and low porosity hair?
Thank you your help, Mo! Straight to the point and very informative!
You have no idea how much your videos has helped me. I’m experiencing heat damaged hair and I’m putting together a regimen to grow it out. Your videos are very informative and I thank you.

I just avoid putting it too close to my scalp.
I must of missed this one....but I LOVE it for so many reasons! Good job Mo!
I saw that TGIN mask and decided against it because of the silicones... I may reconsider because you recomneded it. Great video as always!
I truly enjoyed this video. It was very informative and professional. Can you please consider doing another video like this for shampoos, leave-ins, and moisturizing conditioners as well ?
