My top 5: 1. Better pathing. I feel like it is a fight and too much of a hassle to get paths exactly where you want. 2. Actual darkness under structures and indoors so proper dark rides can be made without tricks. Example: The new Park Studio game which handles lighting really well. 3. Easier underground building. Putting something down in a tunnel is a PITA, especially if you need to adjust it later. 4. Updated coaster features: Transfer tracks, drop tracks, sideways tilting tracks, all sorts of things they left off the original that make it impossible to easily replicate modern day coasters. 5. I want sit down restaurants. I don’t like the way all these games have only walkup windows. I want true restaurants where people line up, go inside, sit down and have their meals. Outdoor restaurants and food courts too. I don’t want isolated tables or benches. I want them to function in a cohesive group. Weather would indeed be awesome, but I can live without it if it impacts performance too much.
1. Modular gift shops that you could theme would be awesome! 2. After PZ, I think it will be no-brainer for PC2 to have detailed staff facilities rather than the weird black holes in PC1. 3. I've not played PC much at all (just picked it up during the huge sale), but I'm not a big fan of the economic structure. I'd like to see it change to a flat-fee kind of system. Last time I was at a theme park (not a county fair) where you had to pay per ride was Disneyland in the 1970s where you bought a fistful of tickets and different rides cost a different number/type of ticket. 4. Going along with #3, you could have package deals where you could opt for a fast pass, or combine park/hotel/food/transportation around the park (train, monorail, chair lifts), etc. 5. More guest amenities like lockers, drying stations for water rides, cooling/mist stations, photo booths. 6. Restaurant mechanic exactly like PZ. 6. Would like to see an expansion/DLC with water park attractions (wave pools, water slides, surfing waves, lazy/tubing rivers, etc.). 7. Expanded themes. It's in the name: "Theme" Park. Tons of cool stuff in PC1, but would like more variety of themes. 8. I pray to the gaming gods that Frontier doesn't over-try to make the sequel too "new" and too "different" from the original. Ethnic/Seasonal/Regional appropriate clothing for guests/staff would be awesome. It's so goofy seeing a bunch of tourists who look like they stepped off the bus in Orlando, shivering in my tundra zoo. Imagine seeing appropriate safari/bush/jungle attire when in Africa or South America, etc. Frontier used this feature in Jurassic World Evolution, with themed guests or staff appropriate to the level.
Great idea about themed clothing. Not just flexi-color, but themed options for all staff uniforms. I MUST have my ride operators for the Matterhorn in Lederhosen!
They NEED to improve the boarding/exiting sequence. The dispatches are massively increased because you have to wait for everyone to exit fully before anyone can board. It is even worse in Planet Zoo because each group of guests exits one group at a time.
Excellent point! TONS of room for improvement here. Strangely, PZ is even worse. Insane that you have to form a long queue to exit a ride. Very poor ride design if efficiency is any concern at all.
I really hope they not only improve on what you mentioned but also try to improve massively on the perfomance side. I understand that the bigger the park and the more guests you have the game starts to slowdown but im sure they could improve by a lot compared to planco 1
i really hope that its planet coaster 2 (its basicly confirmt but you can never be to sure) and i hope for a co-op mode or some kind of multiplayer system. i am really exited what is going to be new but i also really want to make some cool theme parks with friends.

I'd honestly love a built in coaster vehicle creator in which you could add, alter, remove parts of pre existing vehicles/carts. But I honestly just wish everything was more Customizable, especially in terms of advanced building tools and dark rides. I want to control every slight movement of my ride.
I really do hope the sequel gets released soon. I would like to see changing weather conditions, expanding the Eugene Counter to well over one hundred, more flat rides such as The Mexican Hat , more arcade machines and a police station.

1. More than 8 custom paints for custom settings 2. Better pathing system, more path types 3. Resizable asset option(like in prehistoric kingdom) 4. All in one (like RCT3, zoo, theme park, water park) 5. More map styles.
Thanks Leaf this is very exciting!! I would agree with all your Top 5. However I do think as you mentioned in the early part of the vid, it's the engine that really wants an overhaul/update in any new PlanCo game. I have over 1,000 hours in PZ but I can't play PlanCo at all, I find the navigation too clunky and un-intuitive, the PATHING is even worse than PZ was at the beginning and I never found the piece-by-piece building very easy either. Totally with you on the flexi-colour for everything and just more customisation across the board really. C'mon Frontier, give us a worthy successor to RCT3 at last please! 🙂
1. Easy Switch Tracks for all ride types 2. Launch options for more (if not just all idc if it's not realistic) ride types 3. Water rides (water slides, different water coasters etc.) 4. ANIMALS if I own both games why can I not put animals in my theme park D: 5. Easier smoothing
im just nervous about what will happen to our existing parks? will we be able to transfer them? or are they stuck behind in planet coaster forever? unusable in the new game...
Its been like this with basically every game though hasnt it? Cities skylines cant transfer saves, rct 1/2/3 also didnt have this and as far as i know theres not one single strategy/building game where you do this bro
@@megaplexXxHD i know that's why i say its just not worth it, people spend years building a single park why abandon it for a new game? why even make a new game in the first place when you can just update the existing one that many people already play? they already do so with planet zoo
@@psycho-delicpyromaniac9595 you cant update a game thats running on a engine from 2015 or something like that. You also cant update it because it would need for the whole game to be redone and recoded etc. thats just not realistic at all. I do agree it would be great to take over saves but i doubt this will be possible because probably we wont have the exact same assets in planco 2, and like i said you would need to make it compatible with all the new code and updated engine etc
i love the staff management features in planet zoo over planet coaster...especially not being able to turn a lot of those off in sandbox mode. I hope pc2 is much better in that department or i will not play it
1. Modular shops... Yes! Modular anything, really: restaurants, hotels, shops, entertainment/arcade venues, etc., etc., etc. I think between the modular shop update and the barnyard "interactive" update, there's room for this on such a grandiouse unthought of idea for Zoos, Theme Parks, Water Parks, etc, etc, etc. 2. Flexicolor... yes... really for anything. Seriously, Frontier hypes all this "new" stuff in all their games that Flexicolor would solve at the beginning. That's why they get all our money, when they could make room for other things we whine about and save space on all the flexible coloring of stuff. 3. Maps/Diorammas.... Yes and no. I'm on board, but it's not high on my list; however, I love your input and I do agree it would be lovely to have some improved variable maps/biomes. The update with terrain I've never been able to use. It doesn't make logical sense for ME, even with tutorials, so I love the idea, but I've been unable to utilize it. 4. Weather... Definitely! (Wind/rain, lightning strikes, cold spells) Add the mechanics of how weather affects the rides & guests and therefore operations, as well! 5. Camera.... nice, but I'd choose: improved ride typology: This goes along with flexicolor, really, because the way Frontier separates every ride (and animal) is really stretching the dollar down to the penny. I'd rather have a "drop down menu" for track type, car type, color/design of stuff.... and then while we build the ride there can be those fun elements that PC1 never brought us and the world has just been wrong without: Drop Tracks, Stunt Effects for the rides and such. Things that people argue are "not possible" with the engine, or whatever. There's just a lot of options missing and filled with fluff. Think about it on the Flat rides, too. All the flat rides should be way more malleable! There should always be a generic version, and then the more themed versions can still exist including the ones with more themed scenery. I would also throw in better entertainment choices: way more malleable flexicolor entertainers, sit-down shows (use the entertainers in this, too?), parades, interactives & games, the list goes on and on and on. Really, if you look at any theme park or amusement park, when they transition into heavily themed investment (or lightly), there's seasonal entertainment offerings for food/merch and attractions/entertainment. There is such a vast option of fun to add to rides, or build with new rides, too!
On epicgames of all places. Man I can't wait! I have so many ideas for this new entry. I've literally prepared a concept book for my first project. I hope we get coop play, so creators can build together.
I want 1. More dark rides 2. More coaster types (mainly RMC Raptors, s&s Axis, b&m family, and Intamin LSM such as Velocicoaster) 3. Transfer tracks to allow for spikes and backwards sections and maintenance areas 4. Custom animatronics 5. Animals and walk through attractions
I want to be able to create a dark ride without having to set the settings to night or bury the creation to avoid light. I also want a dinosaur pack- so I can make a Jurassic Park-like area. I’d also love to be able to recolor my animatronics, and get some better looking dragons for a Game of Thrones-like area!
An easy way of making plazas. A much improved lighting system with ray tracing to make dark rides actually...dark. Rebuilt coaster editor - improved smoothing, continuous roll, editable inversions, reworked POV cam, continuous smoothing. Object scaling - this works amazingly in Prehistoric Kingdom. 'Walk anywhere' - again, this works great in PK, allows for really creative building and plazas etc, removes reliance on using pathing. Resort facilities and infrastructure - LET US BUILD WORKING PARKING LOTS, MAKE THEM AS DUMB AS YOU NEED TO BUT PLZZZZ. Proper hotels, with pools etc. Counters for shops for customisable useable store ala PZ. God I could go on and on. 2,567 hours into the game and I am still loving it but SO READY for the next one.
Personal thoughts :- They are using UE5 to Dev the game. But to do that it has to be under a commercial license, and we know how Epic are with their UE5 engine use licensing from 3rd party devs. There has been the PC2 dev title in the Steam DB for some time (though I havent seen it in a long time), but very little movement on it. It has been inevitable, it was just the "when" that was in question. 'If' they are using UE5 as the base engine, this is going to be an absolutely incredible project. You could almost asset swap the base PC1 title into UE5 (because lets be honest, the art style in PC1 was a major part of its success), fix the Physics issues and crowd control and go from there. Deving in UE5 makes the title almost instantly Console friendly, it would be content control that would be the leash. " Take my money " meme on standby. I still have my T-Shirt in mint condition from the original pre-release purchase!.
Weather would be so cool because you could utilize indoor and dark rides more like in real parks. I really want water parks personally, I miss that a lot from roller coaster tycoon
I have been hoping tor Planet Water Park since Planet Zoo was first announced. It's the next logical step. They would need to really focus on realistic water physics and it would take years... But now its been years.
The only reason PlanCo2 is confirmed on Epic Games is because they had a leak. Steam has been doing this a while and don’t have leaks so it’s safe to say we can draw absolutely zero conclusions based on that alone.
Probably wont happen with modern gaming having such a big focus on money and dlc‘s. Frontier would miss out on cashing in for 2 separate games with multiple dlc‘s so probably thats a big no go for them. Would be amazing though, like rct3 had the waterpark expansion and wild animals expansion. Thats what actually would blow my mind if they did it like this again
This has me pretty excited if it does get confirmed. I always had trouble getting into the first one because the building system to me felt clunky in comparison to planet zoo, which I played first. So if the build system is improved from the first game, I think I'll have better luck sticking with it
1.To me the biggest thing that has always held these games back has always been the lack of variety in rides. Having a create a ride/coaster would be incredible if they pulled it off correctly. I never tried the one in indoorlands but I thought it was a great idea... 2. WATER PARKS 3. GAMES 4. EXPAND THE HOTEL/RESORT IDEA, maybe this is 5 but make theme park franchises a real thing, be able to switch in between parks you own and add rides every year as real parks do during the off season 5. Don't just stop after a couple DLC, keep offering updates, I purchased my last laptop right when the last DLC came out, I have been WAITING for something new for the past 8 years... please don't just stop after 4 DLC, keep offering new things for the game
@@LeafProductions there really wasn't though. The back to the future and other packs weren't actual expansion packs and didn't have rides it was just a couple scenery pieces that weren't that useful. I'd much rather have some updated flat rides or new coasters than play ghost busters in the park like seriously? Only thing good from Ghostbusters was being able to use the Ghostbusters song on flat rides lol
I'm a zoo girlie first and foremost but I can't not get excited for funny theme park game #2, its gonna be so slay More map/biome variety is something both Planet games could really improve in, having an entire globe to work off of like in PZ doesn't work as well if the Mediterranean scrubland looks like the African savanna or the notorious Amazon rainforest in Aotearoa that was thankfully fixed (which does at least go to show that they're aware of it and improving it, even if it still has a ways to go). Maybe not quite as important for a theme park game as it is for a zoo game (hell they might not even use the globe system from PZ at all), but I see no reason why it wouldn't be great to have. More skirts, whether tied to a particular region or not, would be great too. Loved the city map from the first game and I'd love more variations of that for different architectural styles, maybe a coastal map that isn't limited to an island like PZ's is too. To add onto map variety, I'd love an update to guest clothing, especially considering how likely it is for PC2 to get weather. No more crowds wearing shorts and T-shirts during a snowstorm in Antarctica please. Most importantly for me though is that I just want a more proper dark ride system + maybe a lighting update. (and even more importantly it could lead to a nocturnal house system for PZ2 lmao. Let me build my dream kiwi house without having to turn it to night every time I go inside damnit.)
Excellent point about the dark rides! They need a new system for that. Need to be able to designate it as a dark ride and not have to literally encapsulate it in terrain.
Ehh, I'm exited but, I cant see what it can add thats not just polish really. Like with planet zoo, you have clear squeal hooks of Aviaries/aquariums/fully animated and customizable exhibits ext but planet coaster feels like it is definitive. Are there any ride types/themes that could be added? Waterparks? other than "Planet zoo but coasters" I'm not seeing what the big hype driver is.
Parades, game booths, better engine, better shop systems and so much more could be added. Adding those things to Planet coaster 1 wont fix the performance issues.
Lol Performance issues are a huge thing in PC1 Therefore, there are not many ride and coaster types. Many of the new coaster types are missing - they could improve literally every aspect of this game and add things pz has but not PC. Gosh did u even play the game to not know what is all missing or should be impoved???
I love planet coaster building coasters and building parks. But im not the best builder especially on PS5 buildings all mine are square blocks lol. So I have an idea to help people here's my idea go into build tab selecting parts for buildings Walls roofs ect ect then you can randomly generate buildings using the pieces selected.
No offense or anything but your top 5 is nothing near my priority wants, I want new rides and new ride features for example expedition Everest ride in disneys animal kingdom it goes backwards and switch tracks I want those types of rides in the new game and if it’s not ima be upset 😕
Here we go once again. Once more a video claiming to know better than anyone else when in fact we havent had frontier drop a single word about planco 2. fed up with this content already 😅
@@LeafProductions dont get me wrong but this still isnt official announcement or confirmation for the game. I just dont understand why we are building up the hype and expectations for a game that hasnt been announcent yet. We have seen it time and time again, people hype up, game announces, people blindly predorder, game drops and has bad release and people rant because their expectations arent met. Also this puts unnecessary pressure on the devs and publishers because they know we are waiting and they probably also see what we are demanding. Planco 1 was an amazing release with an alpha, beta and then full release. In my opinion this was the baseline for frontier actually delivering a good game that people still enjoy today nearly 10 years later. I just feel like we could actually stay calm and not have our fav planco content creators drop a new speculation video every 2-4 weeks. Not even gonna mention the ones using the clickbait titles only to then say in the video it isnt official news…
@@megaplexXxHD aight buckaroo calm down lol. it’s a leak and that’s what my title is. i also wanted to do a video about what features I thought would be best for the game to implement so it was the perfect mix 🤓
I mean we have had frontier themselves state they're announcing a new game this year and its realising this year... They said its something fans have wanted and will like... Paired with the epic game leak...

If it had a six flags license it would have cedar fair content too because of the merger

1. More than 8 custom paints for custom settings
2. Better pathing system, more path types
3. Resizable asset option(like in prehistoric kingdom)
4. All in one (like RCT3, zoo, theme park, water park)
I'm glad there's waterslides too. I been waiting forever for them to be on a game
1. Easy Switch Tracks for all ride types
2. Launch options for more (if not just all idc if it's not realistic) ride types
3. Water rides (water slides, different water coasters etc.)
4. ANIMALS if I own both games why can I not put animals in my theme park D:
It's tough for them. I'd rather build a new park meaning a new game engine and tons of new features....
i love the staff management features in planet zoo over planet coaster...especially not being able to turn a lot of those off in sandbox mode.
I want
1. More dark rides
2. More coaster types (mainly RMC Raptors, s&s Axis, b&m family, and Intamin LSM such as Velocicoaster)
3. Transfer tracks to allow for spikes and backwards sections and maintenance areas
4. Custom animatronics
5. Animals and walk through attractions
Smooth coaster cam.
I don’t play Planet Zoo but seeing that you can drag by making buildings is cool
Zoos terrain and advance move tools
Weather
Correct indoor lighting
More foliage
More coaster train types
1 better smoothing tools
2 drop tracks
3 switch tracks
4 more flat rides
5 Vekoma STCs
Personal thoughts :-
They are using UE5 to Dev the game.
Staff pathing and behind the scenes buildings
I have been hoping tor Planet Water Park since Planet Zoo was first announced. It's the next logical step. They would need to really focus on realistic water physics and it would take years... But now its been years.
I would love an animal education centers or petting zoos like we can use in Planet Zoo now
The only reason PlanCo2 is confirmed on Epic Games is because they had a leak. Steam has been doing this a while and don’t have leaks so it’s safe to say we can draw absolutely zero conclusions based on that alone.
How about a Planet Zoo collab so we can build own own Seaworlds & Busch Gardens with rides and coasters near the animals???
Probably wont happen with modern gaming having such a big focus on money and dlc‘s. Frontier would miss out on cashing in for 2 separate games with multiple dlc‘s so probably thats a big no go for them. Would be amazing though, like rct3 had the waterpark expansion and wild animals expansion. Thats what actually would blow my mind if they did it like this again
Terrain tools and path placing sure do require necessary improvements, even in Planet Zoo still
This has me pretty excited if it does get confirmed.
2. WATER PARKS
3. GAMES
4. EXPAND THE HOTEL/RESORT IDEA, maybe this is 5 but make theme park franchises a real thing, be able to switch in between parks you own and add rides every year as real parks do during the off season
5. Don't just stop after a couple DLC, keep offering updates, I purchased my last laptop right when the last DLC came out, I have been WAITING for something new for the past 8 years... please don't just stop after 4 DLC, keep offering new things for the game
There’s like 14 dlc what are you talking about lol
@@LeafProductions there really wasn't though. The back to the future and other packs weren't actual expansion packs and didn't have rides it was just a couple scenery pieces that weren't that useful. I'd much rather have some updated flat rides or new coasters than play ghost busters in the park like seriously? Only thing good from Ghostbusters was being able to use the Ghostbusters song on flat rides lol
the only thing i would like is more balanced if not challenging management scenarios
I feel for console version they need to make it for sandbox to be bigger and taller for more rides to go in
IM SO EXCITED OMG
I'm a zoo girlie first and foremost but I can't not get excited for funny theme park game #2, its gonna be so slay
More map/biome variety is something both Planet games could really improve in, having an entire globe to work off of like in PZ doesn't work as well if the Mediterranean scrubland looks like the African savanna or the notorious Amazon rainforest in Aotearoa that was thankfully fixed (which does at least go to show that they're aware of it and improving it, even if it still has a ways to go).
More variety of Guests and have guests interact with environment in more ways. Smarter AI of guests. Different tiers of tickets passes/VIP.
what i want,
more customisability for coaster types
more coaster types
easier and better smoothing
better and easier to do theming
I honestly would love it if you could make your kind of like family like in rct3.
I hope the console versions will release at the same time. And with no difference.
Is this going to be on console as well
Ehh, I'm exited but, I cant see what it can add thats not just polish really. Like with planet zoo, you have clear squeal hooks of Aviaries/aquariums/fully animated and customizable exhibits ext but planet coaster feels like it is definitive. Are there any ride types/themes that could be added? Waterparks? other than "Planet zoo but coasters" I'm not seeing what the big hype driver is.
you are not coasterpilled
Parades, game booths, better engine, better shop systems and so much more could be added. Adding those things to Planet coaster 1 wont fix the performance issues.
Lol
Performance issues are a huge thing in PC1
Therefore, there are not many ride and coaster types. Many of the new coaster types are missing
- they could improve literally every aspect of this game and add things pz has but not PC.
Gosh did u even play the game to not know what is all missing or should be impoved???
Erm. There are tons of features they could add...
Hey friend is encounter informations in Next DLC in planet zoo is launch the July the year 2024, please.
Hope they listened to us
great vid Leaf.
I'm pretty sure planet coaster has flexi colour staff, not entertainers but every other staff member yes
I think the epic games part of pc2 is just going to be the engine being unreal engine 5 and epic games owns unreal
We need a flat rides creator tool.
A new Turok GAME????????????????????? How am I finding out about this on a Planet Zoo Channel, lol.
I like a Disney license!
Honesty, I just want an easier path interface rather than having to work and work for something that should be easier.
Wait, if this Is true, does It mean that Planet Zoo Is over?
planet zoo has one more confirmed animal pack :)
@@LeafProductions well, thats good. Even then, Its sad that almost Is over 😢
Well it just happened so there’s that
omg YAAASSSSS
Better pathing system
No offense or anything but your top 5 is nothing near my priority wants, I want new rides and new ride features for example expedition Everest ride in disneys animal kingdom it goes backwards and switch tracks I want those types of rides in the new game and if it’s not ima be upset 😕
Hey! I specifically said I didn’t know specifics about coasters but was talking about which updates from PlanZo would be perfect for PlanCo2 🫶
Also textures to make things look used and worn
i need planco2 !!!!!!!
whos here after the trailer 👇
Gamescom august :)
This could mean they maybe gonna use unreal engine for planet coaster 2 :)
No lol it’ll be Cobra Engine lol
Here we go once again. Once more a video claiming to know better than anyone else when in fact we havent had frontier drop a single word about planco 2. fed up with this content already 😅
Hiiii!!! Leaks are actually evidence and not baseless accusations , hope this helps!
