- Today I'll be talking about why I've loved the Apple Watch Ultra and I hope my thought can help in deciding whether you should upgrade or not. I honestly was doubting a lot of things but despite my doubts In the one month I've had it I've really fallen in love with the Apple Watch Ultra. I did exactly the same - from the 4 to the ultra - nothing in between (although nice watches) was compelling to upgrade and I love the ultra, it’s comfortable, love the screen size and the battery capacity…

Great review, love your completely non-materialistic way you've not jumped from model to model with every year and are completely practical about it. Also to echo what everyone else has said with your really calm, chilled out delivery.

@mungo75 - Honestly these last years I’ve been disappointed with the improvements they’ve made to the watch, apple like to make a splash and then suffer improvements in between before they make another splash product release. I’m glad I held off though because the ultra is so worth it for me. I’m using the modular face with the dark colors.

Great review! Great delivery and cadence as well. I also came from an Apple Watch Series 4 Nike LTE, and have had the Ultra for a couple of weeks. I highly suggest picking up the Trail band in any color (I have the blue/gray one), as it’s supple, and very comfortable!

Really happy with the ultra, the bigger size is perfect for me and I absolutely love the fact that I can easily go two days without charging. Glad you’re loving the series 8 upgrade. Great review with no BS, that’s exactly my thoughts, it fits all the outfits as long as you can find proper band to match it with outfit and orange contrasts on the sides are no bother at all

I upgraded from the Series 3 to the Ultra and man it’s what I was waiting for. It feels so satisfying because in a way I feel like I’m rewarding myself for waiting all these years to upgrade.

Great video. Since you are practical with your tech I’m sure you won’t mind me saying that I don’t find the ultra compelling, especially since I doubt it will fit in a long sleeved shirt sleeve and because it costs as much as an iPad. But I’m truly happy that you’re enjoying it so much.
@Texas Citizen - All I wear for work are long sleeved dress shirts and it fits just fine. I personally find it worth it because I won’t be upgrading now year over year, I held onto my series 4 for four years for that exact reason and now I’ll be holding onto this as it’ll be suitable for years to come. It’s definitely not a watch for everyone so it’s totally okay how you feel about it. I’d say if you’re looking to upgrade check out the series 8 instead as it’ll be more practical in your case. I upgraded from the Nike SE. I am a runner and do a good 5miles a day and also sleep track. I felt like I was always charging my SE and more then once barely made it back from a run before my watch died. The Ultra’s battery life has been fantastic and I am loving it.
@Brabdon Davey - The battery is by far one of my favorite features. I’m getting an easy 3 days out of it as each day seems to only take 30%. I like to charge it every second day, really happy with this watch and glad I held off from upgrading for so long.
I was in the exact situation; I haven’t upgraded my Apple Watch since the AW 4. I did not see the reason because it served me well. I recently ordered the AW Ultra (Day 2 of ownership) and I am glad I waited for this after all the rumors of such a watch coming. I bought it for the battery life, the bigger display, and the ability to track sleep and much more. I’m no triathlete but I think its better to have those features and not need it, than to need it and not have it. While in the early stages of ownership, I like it so far. Do I feel compelled to return it, heck no! It’s here to stay. Good video, man.
@BKDON718 - Same I love the features of the watch and I’m glad I waited so long before upgrading. A watch is also part of your personality, much like other accessories like shoes, glasses etc. Many watches have tons of features and are crazy expensive but the main reason people buy ‘‘em is because it gels with who they are and what they personally like. I’m glad you’re happy because that’s all that matters ☺️.
I had the series 5 and never had a reason to upgrade. I had to get the ultra. I was skeptical at first but I love it now.

Is the height of the watch about the same as the width of the iPhone 13 mini?
I also upgraded from series 4, I recently got the nomad sport loop. I have the alpine and trail loop. Hands down my favorite feature is the battery life and the brightness of the display.

I feel u ! I have the Series 4 44 Nike+ Space gray n I loved it . I kept waiting because none of the newer models have had anything I had to have until the Ultra , but i wasn’t sure at first if it was for me like many ppl . After watching some videos i really wanted the Ultra! I wanted bigger Screen titanium build bigger 🔋. I ordered the grey n blue trail band with mine , and I love it so much it’s light for the size I really love how durable it is it’s a huge upgrade from the 4 and u get all the watch faces including nike faces 😊

@@QasimZafar I love it glad I got the Trail band it’s super thin and soft . It’s very comfortable got the gray n blue first shipping date said middle of November but came Oct. 6 thankfully 😅 I was so excited and anxious for it to arrive .

I have yet to convince myself that I want/need and apple watch. In time I guess.
I say this because I don't even wear my swiss watches any more.

@@angaloseeton4836 Yes Angelo - I'm all over the "you only live once thing" - BUT - it is just one more battery (amongst too many) that you have to keep charged!!! & I will likely not miss something that I am not sure I need or want.

@Terry B - I wouldn’t wear my standard watches but since I’ve had the Apple Watch I do wear it regularly because I can change the look with a switch of bands. Really enjoying the extra real estate of the screen and the battery of the ultra and I know it’ll be with me for many years to come.
I jumped from the S5 to the Ultra, and I do not regret it! Durability, construction, and design were my motivation!

@Anoop Katti - Definitely is but if you haven’t upgraded in a long time like myself then it’s definitely worth it. I like the larger screen and the improved battery.

@sher007s - Thank you 🙏🏽. Now that would be a tough situation but I’m pretty sure if I sell this for a decent amount I might actually do it. Plus it also depends on how the black shade is. I honestly really love the look of it right now and I’ll enjoy it because black will definitely be tempting.

Qasim, you and I share a preference for black. I also held on to my Apple Watch 4 until the Ultra. And I bought it for many of the reasons you bought yours.
The question is, what are we going to do with our Ultra if they come out with a black Ultra? Hahaha!
@Yves Azurdia - Totally agree with you! If they come out with a black one I’d have to be able to get good value for this one otherwise I’d hold off. I do like this color as it blends in very nicely with all my black tech 😊.

Qasim, how do you feel about the Pitaka carbon fiber band?
I’ve seen it on a few Ultras and it looks very nice but I’ve read excellent comments and also comments about the magnetic clasp being too weak. Additionally, at a price of $89 and coming from China, how sure can we be it really is carbon fiber?
@Yves Azurdia - I really like their products as they are high quality. They sent me products before to review but I didn’t take any payment from them as it’s just not my principle on this channel. After using their cases and having dropped them they are definitely worth buying. I’m pretty confident the carbon fiber quality is good. Lots of companies get products made in china as it helps in reducing costs so that’s nothing to worry about. The watch band was nice to try out but I didn’t end up using it, it’s a bit too thick for my liking. Hope this helps you in making a decision.

I feel like a dinosaur 😂 I had watch series 1, the battery expanded and blew the screen off in September, looked on UA-cam and I’ve ordered a replacement battery to see if I can fix it. THEN I saw the Ultra……so I bought one, it was delivered on Wednesday and I love it. I’ll still try and fix the series 1 and if I get it going I’ll probably still use it.
@Ian Leonard - There’s nothing wrong with that, my brother actually just upgraded from a series 2. Honestly much hasn’t changed except for minor details with the Apple Watch. Now with the ultra it’s actually worth it especially for those that have been holding onto an older model.
Any problems with the black Milanese band scratching the watch?
@bram m - Nope I haven’t had any such issue.
I have a series 7. Prior to that S5, and there were a few things I always disliked about them. Screen turning off, sometimes i have to rotate my wrist a few times to get it to turn on. The size, i personally like a little larger watch. The looks, i personally thought the watch was very feminine, but with a protective case and band, that could be fixed. The Ultra has fixed that for me.
@John - Glad the ultra is working out well for you. I’m really happy coming from the series 4 and it’s going to be a good companion of mine for years to come.

@S Zulkipli - I got these: amzn.to/3NlXVLZ they’re comfortable, cheap and they’ve got plenty of colors to choose from. Highly recommend them!
I couldn’t do it when I think my Series 7 looks more elegant with the curved glass melting with the polished stainless steel.
Shame the high specs are now being reserved for the rugged ultra 😢
@Ameer Ali Quarda - Had I also upgraded and been on a series 7 then I wouldn’t have gone for this but I’m glad I waited because I definitely love the look of this watch along with the features.

Allle watch isn’t made for adventurers. It’s made for people who want the most obnoxiously exclusive and advanced tech. A professional deep diver isn’t getting an Apple Watch. Lol but I did. We are the target audience.

@ARKAWI Productions - Anyone buying anything just so others can notice is really sad. You should always buy things that work for you. I disagree though because you can’t bunch everyone in the same category, while some people might care about what only others think that doesn’t mean that everyone functions in the same way.
Dude I don't workout and this watch is AMAZING, I recommend this to everyone, even with low battery the watch stays on for days ⁸ Saturday 6am unplugged at 100% currently Sunday 9:30pm and it's on 48%
@Oscar Diaz Production - Oh yeah the battery by far is definitely one thing I love. I don’t have to worry at all about it, currently at 70% and it was last charged to a 100% on Sunday morning 9am and right now it’s Monday morning 6:56am.
