This is such a wonderful tour, of such historical importance. So glad to see these sites, preserved & so beautifully maintained. A labor of love by all the caretakers. Thank you so much Tom, from a person that wouldn't be able to see this, if not for your wonderful videos. you do a wonderful job. Not too fast, just enough time to be able to see each exhibit well. Love your explanations, and historical knowledge of it all. & You and Yaney , make it such fun !

i was an electrician in the 1970's. my employer sent me to east dayton (ohio) to the ohmer sisters house in ohmer park, a very old development their family built. the ladies were in their 90s & had to have a/c's installed. i got to the house & discovered it never had electricity installed-ever. i built a 100 amp service & 2 a/c outlets-period. the sisters let me know they wanted nothing to do with "edisons nonsense" they were happy with the gaslights they lived with for years. one of the sisters followed me around to be sure their wishes were met. to call the characters would be an understatement!

You really have to spend a full day at the Village and one full day at the Henry Ford Museum to get the full effect though. I am originally from metro Detroit and as a 6th grader in 1969 was my first visit there on a field trip. A 2 day field trip.

That heater (or should I call it radiator) is different from others. First of all, it's almost a piece of art. Second, where's the exhaust pipe?

talks condescendingly to his girlfriend, flirts with one presenter, sticks his camera on a stick right next to people, a couple presenters and supervisors had to tell him to stand back a couple times, this guy is very rude and unprofessional. Also, get a dual sided mic to eliminate wind if you're going to film outside #amateur

Nice video I've been to the one in Fort Myers, Florida (even took a picture of a REAL GHOST sitting on the railing in between the two houses👻👻) but not this one always wanted to go to Michigan maybe one day... but somebody told me if you put a sock over your microphone it completely eliminates the wind noise it's pretty amazing... some parts it was hard to hear you
