- We have a 2017 R-Pod 179 and love it. Here's a tour of the entire rig. Enjoy and share but be sure to subscribe before leaving.
BTW- Please check out my other channel: Jupiter Inlet Boats and subscribe. It's a new channel and it takes a lot of time and effort to film the boats so I would appreciate the support.

i love the layout and size. i only have a suv so this is perfect
We loved the unit. And 179 was our favorite floorplan. Safe travels.
Nice, thorough review
We loved the trailer but sold it due to moving.
Richard the 179 is awesome. Tows great and fast getting out of campgrounds in the morning when travelling.
Thanks for watching
I'd have to relocate the shoe storage from the kitchen cabinet...even if not ripe, my stomach couldn't take it, I don't always inspect the bottoms. Maybe a hanging holder back of the door in the bath, esp if never used, plus a fan just in case. Yuck.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I don't own a trailer, but been thinking about it. New retiree. You gave excellent explanation of everything.
Thanks for watching. Let me know if you have any questions.
I'm glad to c u r not lazy.Nothing wrong with hand cranking
I have to admit though, an electrical crank would be pretty nice. Thanks for watching.
Can I make a r pod a daily living situation if needed
It would make a great home for a single person. Thanks for watching and commenting. Oh, make sure to check the seals, water is a no-no.
Very nice presentation snd good info. Happy traveling!
Thanks for watching.

Excellent review, Richard! I love your trailer too! Enjoy yourselves! Thanks!

Great tip on not plugging into a home and turning on the camper AC. I never thought about the effect.
Great video. Omg. Thank you so much! Now I know what to look for in an R-Pod 179. I think they are quite cool. Congrats on your amazing find. Karma.
Awesome! Thank you!
Question.. is model have installation for cold climates?
No, it does have a good heater though.
Awesome video Thanks Richard !
There are quite a few videos on this channel about the rig that you might enjoy. Happy Camping.
Thanks for all the great info, I am considering a r-pod and this is a lot of help. Have a great trip and be safe.
You might want to check out my video where I show almost all the R pod models at the dealer. I was there on other business and just walked through their inventory. Thanks for watching.
VERY informative, TY!
Glad it was helpful!
How much towing capacity does it have, would my Toyota Sequoia V6 handle it?
Since it is a trailer, it has no towing capacity but it weighs under 3000 pounds so anything with towing capacity over that, plus loaded gear, should have no trouble. Thanks for watching.
Thank you Richard. This video was very helpful.
Thanks for watching.
Hi Richard, we just bought a used 2017 model 179 and I am trying to put together a list of the necessary things to take with us on any trip. The one thing I hadn't given much thought to was a Fly Swatter. Good job on the tour of your rig. I also like the storage shelf added to the front of the unit. We may have to consider this for our RV.
That’s funny because we have a fly swatter too. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video. I am waiting to see the new model 195 when it comes out. The floor plan looks like a 179 but has a dry bath and a walk around front bed.
Very cool, I didn’t know about this model. Thanks for watching.
well done Than
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice job on the video. I have a 2018 R-180 and I am really interested in seeing how the previous owners of your trailer installed the shelf above the bed. Can you do a video that shows some close ups of the construction? Much appreciated.
If you will give me your email, I will shoot a little video and give email to you or make a private YT video. I'm getting the trailer ready for our next trip so I would be happy to do this.
@@RichardSites I would like to see that as well.
T.W. Fields @richard sites I’d also like to see that
Thanks!
Cunningham is a good one

Thank you for taking the time to make the video.
Sure, hope you enjoyed it.
Hi Richard, you did a nice job on the review.
As always, thanks for watching. Trip coming up at the end of the week.
How did your trip go? You are sure lucky to get such a great deal on your camper, sounds like something I would like to have, I've got itchy feet! TFS
All our trips have been great. As for the rig, there are so many things you need after you buy a trailer that were included in this deal.
Just wondering how you level end-to-end first and then side to side?
Check John Marucci You Tube channel, he's the expert
@@RichardSites Yes very familiar with John Mariachi. Great site!Just don't know how you would level side to side if you had to move the camper up on blocks or lynx levelers, once you have leveled end-to-end using the trailer tongue jack.
Personally I think all this leveling is a bunch of baloney. These Class B & C's just pull up and park and that's it. I don't spend a lot of time worrying about getting it level.
And, I see your point, seems like you would have to do it the other way.
I think I purchased your 179….too many comparable features
Small world, we sold it to two ladies from the West Coast of FL several years ago.
We purchased from a guy who purchased from the two ladies!!!
Thanks for making the video it is helping us to get familiar with the trailers. The ladies put an electric hitch
Very cool
What do you tow it with?
Nissan Murano, thanks for watching.
