I have a wonderful memory of the late Vin Garbutt (greatest English tin whistle player) teaching this at a whistle workshop at a Folk Festival in South Australia with a lovely story to go with it. Whilst at a wedding awaiting the arrival of the Bride, the time ticked by without her presence, and the whole crowd in the church became restive and talkative. However a musician present (someone well known; I wish I could remember who) pulled his whistle from his pocket and as the notes of this lovely piece flowed through the air, the venue became hushed and awed until the Bride arrived ! Thank you for reviving that memory !
Hello again, dear Lindsay 😃👋. I enjoyed your full version of your amazing song very much 🙆♂️🥰👌👏. Thank you for sending good vibrations, and like #88 🙏👍. May God always keep his protecting hand over you 🙌✨️😇🕊💖🫂🙋♂️.
Another great tune recovered! I’ve played it on mountain dulcimer. Now want to give it a try on my Thompson guitar that keep in DADGAD. You are a treasure for me.
Well worth the wait. Beautifully done. It’s great that guitar players study and appreciate the work of John Renbourn. And that guitar…..wow! You’ve got yourself a real beauty there. It fits your style perfectly. Hang on to that one.
@@LindsayStraw when my hands fell apart a few years ago I started using a lot of open tunings to make my hands work less. It kinda stuck. Worst part now is needing at least two guitars on a stage no matter how short the show is!
beautiful

What a lovely memory!
Hadn't heard that before, but I like its melancholic feeling a lot. Thanks!
Wow, what an amazing tune!! I really like the bending in it. As always, you make that guitar sound so nice 🙂
Thanks so much, Jared!

I feel very lucky! It's definitely helped me grow more, too - the right guitar is so important
Amazing video production and such a serene backdrop. Nothing beats natural sunlight for making both you and the guitar look beautiful 🌞
Thank you so much!
Exquisite!
Can’t wait
Superb
Beautiful song beautifully played!
Beautiful performance.. thanks for sharing..😄
This piece just shows how great a guitarist you are! You’re really great, but this is freaking great.
I'll take a freaking great! Thank you!
beautifully played and so peaceful !
Great! Very well played! Love it ❤
Well done! Very beautiful.
Waiting, waiting.
Looking forward to hearing that guitar. It has a Stefan Sobell look about it.
Nice!
Lovely! I’ve never been able to make much with dadgad but I love when others use it!
I'm not much of an alternate tuning thinker, either! This is just DADGBD, though, so moderately easier haha

What a beautiful arrangement. By the way, do you film, edit and upload your own videos? Because they always look so professional! 👍
Yep! Thank you so much!
