    Thank you TridentYYZ. Your comment helped me to understand more on the Trident660 after a year and a half of use. I am eyeing on the Trident
    660 bike as apart from the form (design) factor and power, I believe it is right for me.

    2 years for me, love riding the canyon twisties in the Rockies as often as I can. I agree with the seat comments, 2 hours max. No issues with my heated grips, working fine. I think the street triple is next for me, though I wish it had the round headlight.

      I concur with the critique of the Street Triple, I was never keen on the front end of the bike, but the rest of it looks great!

      i like the round headlight which is why this bike appeals to me more than yamaha mt07

    According to my dealer, heated grips issue was caused by software malfunction. Ask your dealer to update your bike SW. Good video, thanks!

      @tridentyyz1031  Рік тому

      They checked that in October before they disconnected the grips and put in the warranty approval from Triumph. When they did that update, that was when I stopped getting notifications in the tray. I did a video on that as well.

    • @JaymzSim
      @JaymzSim Рік тому

      It is a software related issue. They have to rollback to one that works fine with the grips.

      @@JaymzSimthey changed the grips out under warranty back in June when I took it in for service. I have used the new ones several times and they work great.😊

    Hi. Great review, enjoyed that. Just to let you know, the heated grips are a software issue, I had the same problem. Mine went at the same time as yours!

    Going on a year on my Trident, and I can attest to the seat discomfort. Fear not though as the foam does in fact wear in and will comfie up after about 5k or so miles. I would totally splurge on the corbin had I the extra bux however. Cant speak more highly on this bike, love mine to death!

      I just ordered my seat cover from sahara seats with a gel pad. Its like 75 for the cover and 22 for the gel pad. something like that. free shipping. I've had bikes with worst seating than the trident so to me the trident seat is awesome. I mainly wanted to protect the stock seat. I added gel for even more cushion.

      @AllboroLCD fyi i had difficulty ordering due to both my banks flagging purchase for fraud. My main bank tried multiple times after approving purchase and just couldnt get to work. My other bankworked with website. Asks you to open bank app of mine and approve and then proceed and that worked well. I felt like the transaction was secure and confident in purchase. Seems like a legit business. I first saw the seat on halo halo rider youtube he has a whole video on install. He got brown leather. I chose black leather with black stitching

      @AllboroLCD there is an italian company making seats also but to me they dont fit the style of the trident as well as sahara. There seat works better on a sport bike. And also they cost 300 i think. The sahara for its exteemely inexpensive amount seems like a no brainer for protection and added style. Should be getting within a week or two from india

    Hey trident brother. Thanks for the video. my handgrips sucks to i can't feel any difference between the hi, medium, low settings. Though maybe the stock was crap. But sounds like a common issue. Do you really need a new one or just a software update. Cheers from 🇸🇪

    • @tridentyyz1031

      The dealer spent over an hour looking at the problem and the solution was new grips. It was under warranty so I'm alright with that.

    a year and a half. NO MODS??? wow. i've had my bike for 2 weeks and ordered the quick shifter. Planning on getting the triumph bar end mirrors. And a few other minor things.

    • @tridentyyz1031
      @tridentyyz1031  10 місяців тому

      Mods, a funny thing. I got/bought the bike without seeing it when it first came out. Went on Triumph's website and loaded the bike up with mods. Then began stripping them off. Bike shifts fine due to the slipper clutch, so I felt no need for the quick shifter. As for bar end mirrors..... maybe at a later date, as I can see around myself with the stock ones.

    • @championx1

      @@tridentyyz1031 i was going to order the bluetooth module first but my dealer convinced me to go with quick shifter .the bike shifts flawlessly stock but after reading every review and youtube i can find, everyone has the quick shifter, everyone says its a game changer, everyone loves it, as my dealer told me. im very excited to not have to use the clutch so many times on a trip. you can still use of course, and its obviously necessary at red lights, first gear scenarios, but to be able to quickly shift up or down and hear the throttle blips quickly and easily and less left hand manipulation with my RA....i think its going to be awesome. my bike right now is getting its first service (the 600 mile service) and the quick shift. should get back any day now.

    do you rev it high and what mileage do you get by driving the way you do? also, have you ridden its competition namely, MT 07, SV 650, CB 650 R and what do you think about them?

    • @tridentyyz1031
      @tridentyyz1031  Рік тому +1

      I don't rev it high, and the mileage depends on what I am doing. For commuting in daily traffic, probably around 5L per 100km. Out for a ride in the country its closer to 4L per 100km. I never tried the competition as I bought the bike during the pandemic. I like the look of the Trident over all of those other bikes as it has a classic front and a sporty back.

    Triumph's own heated grips are rubbish, over here in the UK Oxford heated grips are the one's to go for and far cheaper

      Well, the jury is still out on my end as the initial product was faulty (according to the dealer) and there are comments saying it might be the software. At some point (it keeps snowing here) I'll get them changed under warranty and I'll see how the new ones are.
