- Rongoā Māori has been used for centuries. The practice is a more holistic approach to oranga and wellbeing, a traditional healing practice grounded in te ao Māori. But what if aspects of rongoā were forced to change to suit new modern regulations? That’s the concerns of rongoā practitioners across Aotearoa. Jess Tyson with this story.

It's not just Rongoā Māori that legislation is destroying with this Bill. They don't want anyone practicing or creating anything related to healing, except by people that the government puts in place, who follow government rules.

It’s outrageous!!!! Everybody should be allowed to decide for themselves which product and medicine to use, we dont need the government continuous looking over our shoulders. What about all the side effects of the pharmaceutical medicine?????? I appreciate your work!!!! Thank you!

The government just doesn't want Māori to make money ! It's all about money...
The amount of pakeha using Maori knowledge to then sell back to Maori is huge. Theres a shop in Dunedin I went to $140 just for consultation and the products themselves were far beyond Maori to be able to buy. Broke my heart to see how they just keep taking
