I can't _believe_ a JRPG actually did the "every character at once thing" I've been wanting in one for years and years. It's insanely cool with insanely fun mechanics.
Lets be honest, it's not 100% perfect. The perfect way should be with having an unique party of 8 people instead of 2 parties of 4 people each. I don't mind buffing the boss to compensate such overpowereness.
Daughter of the Dark God sounded imposing and impossible, like it was insurmountable to defeat Galdera. This theme almost sounds triumphant, like "This may be a massively formidable foe, but think of how far you've come!"
Daughter of the Dark God I feel is more subtle, this is much more in your face. Like the whole number is screaming at you, demanding you to witness its overwhelming power.

I'd love to see a Pokemon game do what Ochette's story does, by making the starter Pokemon that doesn't get chosen by either you or your rival get scooped up by the villain group of the game (be it Team Rocket, Team Plasma, Team Galactic, or whatever), be boosted to level 200, and serve as the True Final Boss of the game requiring cooperation from both you and your rival to take down.
“Alright, it’s the final battle, are you ready, Castii?” *hauls bag filled with a literal metric ton of random medicinal reagents* “Yup, I’m ready to randomly throw drugs at all of you for hopefully beneficial effects.” “You’re POSITIVE you’re a real doctor?” “Yup.”
I mean, Octopath and Bravely Default are effectively old-school FF’s successors, given that the franchise has long-since moved away from turn-based RPG’s.

Yo when it got to that final phase of the battle, and they brought every character to fight at once, that was such an epic moment for me playing this game. OT2 is just amazing in general, story, gameplay, characters and soundtrack were so good
This song is absolutely beautiful, the entire theme is just beyond awesome, the melody and the orchestral rock instruments created a magnificent atmosphere, the singer is a musical beast, 0:302:11 just wow Everything works magnificently but that guitar part at 1:07 and 1:36, it's just so good Thank you wholeheartedly for having uploaded that unique treasure
I do like this final boss theme and the difficulty of the fight more than the original. I did not expect Galdera to be as tough as they are. But this theme gives you both the dread of fighting a god and also gives you that part where it sounds like you are rising up. And to be clear, I loved Galdera's fight as being difficult, just for it being the optional final boss it felt way harder than it should be and it was a great change of pace from the other RPGs out there. Also loved the theme for Galdera just feeling very threatening and overwhelming because that is what Galdera was. Probably why I love Octopath and Bravely Default. Their music is both amazing and also fits the mood they want.
Is that what that weird hellisg looking eye thing is called at the island with the gate? I actually ended up fighting that thing first before Vide and I *presumably* thought it was the final boss of the game, oh boy that guy is tough, I still can't beat it. I was like "Damn Vide is freaking tough!!" Then when I finished all the main quests and sub quests, I ended up here, and fighting actually Vide. I was like...Oh this is the final boss?! Well she/he is not too bad, tough but ABSOLUTELY nothing compared to the one eye hell thing. When I defeated Vide, I was like..wait so if Vide was the final boss...then who and WHAT the frick was that abomination back there? And WHY is it so damn powerful?? Waaay waay way more powerful than Vide! They no even in the same league!

I have to say your thumbnail never fails to make me laugh ! Anyway, this game was an absolute BLAST. I finished it last June and I have to say, this is as peak as a sequel can get. Loved every bit of it !!!
I remember hearing this for the first time and getting insane Fire Emblem: Three Houses vibes. Because, y'know...God-Shattering Star. Kinda makes sense, too, since both Vide and Nemesis were portrayed as these astoundingly powerful divine/semi-divine beings hell-bent on drowning their respective worlds in unending darkness and destruction. Likewise, it was only through the power of friendship--and _full_ parties--that both could be defeated. I'm a huge fan of "full party" final boss fights like that. Alliance Raids in FFXIV, especially the Endwalker raids, are another great example that really drive home the sheer disparity in power between your party and the single entity you're fighting (and yes, I know there's a big difference between single-player JRPGs and MMOs).
I literally ran through a wall when i saw i was getting to play cotc on my ps5. ABSOLUTE LEGENDS for giving us cotc gameplay in 2 too. I hope 3 is literally just cotc combat from the jump, and for the entire game

I wished the fight had unique dialogue when you max boosted like during chapter final bosses. It might be cliche but stuff like “For the dawn!” Or “Light will prevail!” Would be kinda cool

I think everyone uses male pronouns when referring to "him", though "he" has a female voice and also very clearly has tits, so the only way to find out is to see what it says in japanese since localizers once again fucked translations up in this game lmao

Yeah, I found using an exp share worked wonders on the grinding though, plus I maxed my stock of hyper potions beforehand.

Easily my favorite JRPG Final Boss fight in recent memory. Epic Song and mechanics. Plus, the "Whole Team" just blows me away.
They combined opera and heavy metal. Two VERY diometrically opposed genres, and not only did they make it work, they made it epic!
