I don't think those people are doing right things. This is not the right habitat for these ducks. You could see similar situation in the US, but the difference is in the US, these ducks usually live in a big park with very few people. They shouldn't release these ducks in such a harsh environment for them.

They absolutely should release those animals. Those are wild Ducks, they‘re supposed to live wherever they choose.
These humans helped them ‚cross their territory‘ as far as they could and now in the forest they went to they‘ll have to fend for themself.
I really don‘t know what you could expect more of them.

Wtf mandarin ducks moms don't care about their young.
There was a mallard duck mom with 8 duckies on a pond near my house and one of them fell down a huge drain (so huge you can walk in there with some climbing). Unfortunately it was almost dry so the duckling could not get up to the family.
The mother stayed there for a long time quacking for some help, she even came close to me as i was feeding swans and quacked at me like she wanted help.
I climbed there to get the duckling back to its mother. It took me 30min and she never tried to leave, she was there all the time waiting for its duckling.
But looking at this video the mandarin mom just walked away after almost all ducklings fell down the drain rofl

Even if you are a little far away...she realises that you could be watching her...and could harm her ducklikgs. So she tries to rush the migration. She confuses humans with predators...and had to leave to save the lives of the other ducklings.

That's because so many people are constantly following her. To the people it's for filming but the duck won't understand that. That's the problem with these videos....you have to harass the animals a little bit...and then such things happen. I appreciate Kritter Club's effort but sometimes it invades their privacy and they are inadvertently made to hurry up.

It's cool to witness the efforts of folks to help animals thrive in a foreign enviroment. let's hope the next generation gets to see them in the wild versus a a museum or zoo.
