No journalism ethics. These reporters should be under the review of the ethics committee of MTRCB and DSWD. Even the question is derogatory, abusive and traumatic for the kids. I strongly suggest that that persom who raised up that rude question be put into question to the right authorities.#KMJS
I watched Boy Abunda’s interview with these boys and that one is gazillion times better than this interview. Asking their gender preferences aside, I think the ultimate difference between that interview and this one is the RESPECT that Boy Abunda gave to these boys. They were treated seriously in that interview, sure there was also humor and laughter and making fun of each other but it was always within the bounds of decency and respect. The interviewers in this video, on the other hand, didn’t have any respect for these boys, they just see them as fodder for sensationalism, making fun of them and inserting their inappropriate comments and sexual innuendos. I hope the boys’ parents and managers realized what happened here and may they protect them and keep them away from uncultured and disrespectful interviewers like these.

Yes, the interviewer was wrong to go down that line of questioning with kids their age. Doing so though is in no way going to influence them one way or another. If they are straight, asking them questions like that might make them uncomfortable and is highly inappropriate but it isn't going to influence them and magically turn them gay. By the way, Francis has already said he is gay. His father was even asked about it on the talk show where the three fathers were being interviewed and did not know that the boys were in a room backstage listening to what they had to say (ua-cam.com/video/-fc0EGx5pms/v-deo.html). Francis's father replied that he has been told that his son has come out of the closet and if that turns out to be true, then he will accept him because he is his son and ultimately he just wants him to be happy. When Francis heard this backstage he turned to Mackie and Kiefer with tears in his eyes and said, "oh my god guys, my father accepts me for who I am". At that point Mackie hugs him and tells him he is happy for him. So obviously Francis feels that he is gay and obviously both Mackie and Kiefer already know that. The interviewer most likely already knew this because Francis has not been trying to hide it. That might be why the interviewer was asking that question but it is still inappropriate to ask kids their age even if one has already stated he is gay It should not matter one way or the other to any of you anyway. If Francis is gay, he is still the same Francis his fans have come to know. It is not going to affect you guys and he is no different than the Francis you thought he was before learning he is gay. I seriously doubt that they are all gay but even if it turned out that way, they are still amazing singers and from what I can see, they are good kids as well. While I agree with most of the comments about the boys being young to answer these questions, I’m pointing my fingers to the lack of tact and the insensitivity of the interviewer. Whether they were kids or full-grown adults, information like that is personal (and really irrelevant), and they deserve the right and RESPECT to not divulge information that they are entitled to keeping private. Unfortunately, this is the price of being in the limelight; however, it doesn’t give an excuse for any interviewer to have such poor judgment. The boys handled it very well, especially for still being kids, which shows character far beyond their age, and frankly, better than that of the interviewer. Questions like that show more about the lousy interviewer than of the interviewees.

But in fact, it doesn't matter if they feel that way or that was just what their personality is. And there's the fact that they perform to put smiles on the faces of their audience. Nakakaawa sila, hindi ba naisip ng mga reporters na yun kung anong mga bad things ang pwedeng mangyari after ng interview nato, such as anxiety. Hayaaan na lamang nating tong mga batang to ang maghanap kung sino ba talaga sila at wag natin silang pangunahan. These kids are still on going to a process in which they're still finding the real them inside, don't just judge them based on how they move or speak, because first of all you don't know them personally. Stop being superficial!

Hmm... Medyo insensitive nung nagtanong(@9:19). These guys are PRE-TEENS, He's asking to the point of saying that being gay or feeling gay is somewhat wrong. But in fact, it doesn't matter if they feel that way or that was just what their personality is. And there's the fact that they perform to put smiles on the faces of their audience. As a child performer they might have picked up to act that way because of what they do. And considering that they have in fact, performed as a persona of a woman.
