I actually love the idle aspects lmao. When im just sick of blasting maps for the day, just sit in the city, rolling and smoking big doinks while micromanaging. Sounds chill :D
Going to sleep and all the work being done in the background is going to be fun
As long as it doesnt get any daily/weekly bonuses or missions and is just a "play game get stuff" type of idle design I am happy!
as someone who got back into old school runescape between leagues I'm very excited they've added runecrafting, the grand exchange, and afk skilling.
Im just glad its not a black desert system where you need to be online for this.

HOLY what a crazy patch! Absolutely insane it was 40 minutes live it just kept going more and more stuff. The scope of next league is huge :D

I started in harbinger league. game's come incredibly far since then and still somehow continues to do so.

Something to add about timers:
Mark said they made a mistake in showing the timers, because they were the default, unbuilt, and unbuffed timers. Actual timers for mining and ships will be lower.
Mining in particular, shipping will be around the same without it being optimized through workers, up to 10 hours for the maxed shippings I believe is what he said
Beyond that, it's not like normal games with time gating. You're never going to run out of things to do. The whole core Path of Exile game is still there. This is just something on background. I know Evan and them were mostly joking about like 'oh sorry guys, my ship is back gotta go send it out' but realistically, the crew is gonna likely be making 60 div an hour or something and the shipping stuff is a pittance on that. Min-maxing that as well would be the opposite of that for people playing at their level.
It's much more casual andys. And as one at this point in my life with tons of other obligations, I'm very hype for this league where I'll actually be able to get some passive benefits when I'm busy while still being able to blast as much as normal when I do have time to play and city builders are fun to boot imo at least.
@@masterslayerable Yeah, the 10 hour shipping thing is likely there because you want an option so people aren't worried about value when they're going to sleep and shit. You just throw the longest option on then, whereas you do a shorter route while you're blasting.

All the passion that used to exist for diablo games has moved to POE. I love this community and I love what the developer is doing with the franchise. Could not be happier with the direction and totally stoked for the future of POE.

GGG have found a perfect way to both reward players that don't have that much time in a moderate way, and also players who invest way more time without taking away any of the fun.

Real talk - in a country during a war and in a city, there electricity is a thing 6-9 hours a day - beeing able to load a day worth of maps and couple of ships and come back the next day is really neat.
They WENT OFF on this League. HUGE W.
Even after more than 4000 hours, League after League i'm simply amazed by what GGG is doing. It's an incredible game and just keeps getting better. Every League feels fresh and unless PoE2 takes it's place, i'll propably play this game for the rest of it's lifetime.

This was the most insane reveal in PoE history. As a 11 year veteran I am soooo hyped.
it almost seems like the quant nerfs were countered by the new chisels? instead of getting big quant in order to focus farm cards/raw currency/uniques you can use the new chisels to heavily influence your drops towards a specific type of drops.
Not really, quant added rarity, more currency can just be more alt orbs on the ground while divs are still going to be rare..

Honestly as a more casual player with a busy life a lot of this leauge is very appealing. Being able to set maps to farm or building or sending ships out or being rewarded for short bursts of play better fit the casual gamer who only gets 1-3 hours of playtime a day not to mention the auction house makes trading sooo much better for casual players who don't want to spend their one or two hours of game time trying to buy and sell stuff to fixers that don't respond

Auction house might be the best thing in this league, hope it wont be overwhelmed because everyone will use it instead of whispering to 80 ppl to buy 1 divine.

For currency items
@@Okeen12 currency exchanging is one of the most tedious and annoying parts of POE. Buying items is generally pretty smooth but for whatever reason nobody ever responds when you are trying to buy currency. This is an amazing addition
@@kingsludg Wow, you're right. What's wrong with bots placing currency at ridiculous prices just to speculate and influence the market is no joke. And it's worse not responding, which makes the player's life very difficult. I'm glad this nonsense ends now. I want to see these damn bot players place items with low value without responding now...
@@kingsludg I think the main issue is that the trade sites api is too slow for the volumes that are moving and then the top 20-50 people for the currency trade you wanna do dont have any left, but it's not updated

Kinda feels like there are other aspects to party play than just how much money it can make, but it still doesn't even seem like it's broken by this? It's a big chunk but if you scale back the quant on everybody, items should have more value, there's another slot for a scarab, new meta ofc, new chisels, I THINK more rarity scaling not just on the uniques shown but maybe in some other stuff but I'm fuzzy on that. Also I'm guessing the trading aspect of stackables will be different in some way because they used to get a specific portion of the profit, idk if that changes.

The one thing that I would wish for ggg to do more than anything, is give us a non-migratable SSF mode with OP harvest and synthesis intact. There are quite a few people who don't want to compete in conquering the market early each league just to be able to craft gg gear but rather do it in their own pace and with their own resources. This would make poe 1 immortal for me.

Bow classes are going to be dead with phys taken as ele removed, only way you’ll get it now is lightning coil at 50%.. you will need endurance charges to stay alive
capped evasion, spell suppression ?? bow builds didnt use phys taken as ele. Some specific pathfinder setups did and many HC builds but generally speaking in SC very few people abused that, it was something youd layer ontop of an already good character but it was not mandatory to stay alive.
you mean - EVASION based builds are affected by Phys TAKEN as elemental?
