I've had this bike for about 5 weeks now, close to 1000 miles already. There are many good points to this bike. 1. Brakes. Fantastic. Even in the worst of the British weather. 2. Economy. I get around 230 miles on a tank. For £8.50. 3. Speed. Comfortably sit at over 80 MPH. 4. Weight and Size. Very light weight. Easy to swing around. The size is fantastic for smaller riders. Anyone under 5ft 8, should love this bike. 5. Looks. It doesn't pretend to be something it's not, unlike the YZF 125. 6. LCD screen. Possible the best screen you can get for a bike that's under a 1000cc. It gives you all the information. I could list more. The bad points. 1. 1st and 2nd gear. Just try not to use them. Get straight to 3rd. 2. Suspension. You feel absolutely everything on the road. Even a feather. 3. Gears. 2nd to 1st. Easily find yourself in neutral. 4. Lights. Low beam is aweful. Take a torch. 5. Stock chain. Replace asap. Having mentioned all the bad points. I still wouldn't choose any other 125. For me, it's the best 125 on the market.
I always rode other brands for over 30 years. Now I have my new Suzuki and have found new enjoyment with my riding.I love my new Ecstar125,its fun, fun, fun.
Adorable :3 For real though, they did a good job making a small displacement bike look a bit cooler than it deserves to be. I guess hiding the engine helps :P
Hello everybody. I like this little bike very much and it would be my first bike. I'm just a little bit worried that it might not suit my size, as I'm 180 cm tall (about 5.10 feet). Do you think it might be possible for me to ride it comfortably? Thanks in advance
I would pay for that but it would be more expensive and heavy which is bad for a 125 bike. The suspension is still good even though it isn't upside down forks.
It sucks that Suzuki will never sell this bike in North America. I love small sport bikes, but I think the smallest supersport you can get here is the KTM RC390... which is fine (I had one for 10k miles) but I want something that'll make me work harder for my speed. This little bastard look like it would be a hoot on a short track.
Bad Decisions You can get Aprilia RS125 in the States but they’re very hard to find there. Much better than this Suzuki, 2-stroke so you will have to rev the crap out of it
are learners allowed 14hp nowadays??...i thought they were restricted to 12hp??....looks like a fun option...i wish i was 17 and had 4 grand to spare!! :D
Depends on which country you mean :) In Europe, people can start even on 600-650ccm (my first, learning bike was unrestricted 650 with 87HP). 125ccm is allowed to ride with the car licence only in some countries.
£4k at launch are they having a laugh???, same bike in "150cc guise" in Asia, (Philippines) for example is only £2k... It is nothing to do with buying power of said region as a majority of bikes are priced only slightly less from the big 4 than in Europe or even more in the case of KTM.. No wonder the bike industry is on it's ass in the UK. Sad times
I am sitting here like an idiot forced to buy 4K worth of 125cc’s while being f0kin 21 years old because the rules in my country are shit and i cant get anything more than that unless i wait for f0kin 2 years...
Omg it looks so slow. Its just the 125cc class. To buy a 125 sport bike just seems daft. Looks like a 150 mph bike but will struggle at 75 mph unliss your a stick thin 17 yr old. If getting a 125 get a normal upright 125 like an mt125 or a ybr. Getting a bike like this is like buy a expensive chocolate with fancy wrapping only to find it it just simply didnt live up to what its wrapping portrayed. Do the A1 - A2 OR DIRECT ACCESS Dont waste your money on a 125 sportbike they arnt fast and you look silly. Get a 125 by all means if you must but not a sportbike such as this. Its just so fake
the 125 variant of Honda CBR was made from Thailand, not China, and GSX-R125 are from Indonesian, they used the Satria FI/Raider FI (resize 150cc to 125cc) engine, for it.
Did you, in fact, manage to do the ENTIRE review without saying "GIXXXER"? That's AMAZING. I'm very, very impressed.

There is a way to start the bike without having the key. It uses a specific 4 digit code unique to each bike.
Please dont put music to this vid, I want to hear what the engine sounds like
Going to welcome the GSXR 125 as my first bike!
When will this bike launch in India? And what will be the roads road prices.
carnt decide between this or aprilla tuona

Suzuki GSX-R125 good looking bike 👌

No problem dear... my friends in Indonesia have similiar postures (180cm) but without any complaint
If I'm honest slightly disappointed suzuki could of done so much better, upside forks and bigger tyres then it would look so much better
and a heavier weight? hell nah.
On a bike with only 125cc's every gram counts in getting the best performance out of the learner legal 15hp limit
I would pay for that but it would be more expensive and heavy which is bad for a 125 bike. The suspension is still good even though it isn't upside down forks.

no swearing boss
ironically not even in India where they sell 125cc like hot cakes😢
and the car sales in India is what has kept Suzuki afloat all these years
Engine tone sounds really lovely for 1 cylinder bike, the Yamaha one sounds like tractor 🚜
Fuck off =))
Di eropa 125 dsni 150 mna yg bnar
Kurnia Aditya di eropa regulasi otomotive hanya mengizinkan 125cc. Setelah itu 300cc. Di asia 150cc n 250cc.

You can get an A1 license at 16 and that is max 11kw(14.9hp) and not any more than 125cc
It's always been 15hp with the new laws.
Why in asia is GSX-R150. but in EU is GSX-125? Why!!!!!!
RockYGamerkunG the reason is regulation for engine cylinder just can be use/permit 125. In asia market had permit market 150cc

One for the rich kids lol nice bike though, they will enjoy it, probably a little too much and crash it but hopefully not kill themselves :)
Shame that it still has bicycle wheels.
Can easily put bigger tyres on.
