Thank you!! Exactly what I've been saying! To those saying she needs her own story I mean...the whole of Witcher 3 was basically Geralt helping Ciri to complete her quest. She took down the biggest threat and saved not only her world, but countless others. Why they hell go from that to fighting off monsters one at a time in the middle of nowhere.
Because that wasn't ciri's own story, that was what destiny and fate had always written for her, she never liked being the center of attention nor her elder blood powers, she was the happiest when she choose to become a witcher in the ending because she can finally do what she wants to do instead of what some prophecy tell her to do
@@sane7527 and she can keep doing that at the end of the Witcher 3 ending where she becomes the witcher, much more efficiently than by nerfing herself in this game However the point the above comment, and mine, are making is that her arc, Geralt's arc and other main characters' arcs are done, and especially her has been milked a bit too much, even in the books Also according to the devs' own idea, they want people to learn more about being a Witcher (which even in the new game she isn't, because she's also a source) and that they feel she has a lot to learn - this absolutely makes no sense given what she has gone through in her life in the games and books This is just lazy and safe writing They could have gone with a young training Witcher and players could have followed his trials and Witcher life lessons Ciri could have been around, even as an Empress patron or a Witcher teacher or dead, respecting all endings, as of now the other endings are going to feel super hollow no matter how they explain it
@@kaushalsuvarna5156 a new witcher would always have been a watered down version of geralt, it would have been extremely tough to add new gameplay elements to it and the constant comparisons to geralt wouldn't have done them much good. With ciri they have the ability to have the witcher combat and magic of sorceresses like yen/triss plus who knows if her elder blood powers are fully gone. This is gone to be a long saga and they could always slowly introduce back her powers to keep on improving the gameplay
@sane7527 but that's it you made both my points, it's difficult to write on your own, hence the lazy and safe writing jab; and she is not a true Witcher anyway because she is using source magic So the only thing they have achieved with so much lore breaking is alienating 25-33 percent of their audience base and upsetting people like me who care about writing, and this from a studio that boasts of being storytellers But the most important point is what's said in my main comment above

Witcher 3 does not have character creator and it sold more 50 million copies. Cyberpunk has character creator and it barely passed half of it. So it doesn't need character creator at all to sell.
It's technically hard. It's a saga - 3 times the same character, what if you lost your save? In many cases people just will lose their saves and they will have to create the character again. It breaks immersion.

Really hope they take their time no matter how desperate I am to play it. I think they felt pressured to release CP2077 and it was too early, they made all their money back within the first week of release. Cant wait!
Please bring Funito ueda ans Hideki kamiya for a interview
I need one of those jackets for myself
I know it will be a good game. I just hope it's a good game at launch for the first time.
I hope Ciri's elder blood powers aren't gone completely - I loved being able to teleport around, though I can understand why it might not work for game balance to have that all the time, some kind of "burst" abilities would be cool. Pretty hyped for this game though, I want some more proper Witchering, especially after the tv show went from really good to relentlessly terrible in only three seasons!
So hyped, I just finished my 3rd play through of the Witcher 3 a few months ago.
Forget the games. Can we get them jackets
Probably when they start the marketing cycle of the game
@@sane7527 Hell yea
I didn't really like changes they made to gwent for the standalone but strong allusions towards it being in: We're so back!
Pumped for W4.
Hype for Nilfgaurd Deck

Can tell guy second from left is a huge witcher fan, geeked out the whole interview. Love it
C’e troppa Fracistica
I can't wait for this game 😂
Perfect ❤
I really enjoyed this interview. Great job from the Allies and the CD Project Red devs.
The coziest interviews of all time
Huber, control yourself! 😂
They are trying their best not to say "Monster Hunter" 💀
Good get Blood. Man, its been 8 years since I finished Witcher 3 and I've forgotten how awesome and full of surprises that game was. I am beyond excited for this
Let them cook!!!!!
Going to be a short saga.
I loved The Witcher 3 but felt that its equipment/loot was one of its weaker parts. There was very little build variety with equipment, and swords and armor felt samey and not very special. Having to wait to get the highest-level witcher gear to experience its effects was too long of a wait for what should've been standard.
Nice
More they talk more excited i get...i should let go. It atleast 2 years away
I’ve wanted to fully get into this series for the longest time but only can play 2 and 3 (no pc), I really hope the remake for the first game comes out before 4!
That is already confirmed to be coming out after witcher 4 unfortunately. But anyway, have fun. It's an amazing series.
scoop!
I'm super excited is Ciri, I have played all the games back to back. I guess I'm going to play them one more time until 4 come out 😅
Those Bloodworth contacts, wow!
So Hyped
Gwent 2

Let these polish guys with the unspeakable names introduce themselves. 😅 pozdrowienia dla nich obojga!
Building a new chin for Ciri 😂
😁
except they didn't build a new saga. they retconned an existing character to fit a sequel.
Make Geralt playable in the end of the main quest...or you will not have good sales..
Please dear god cd project red don’t mess this up all u have to do is copy and paste everything from Witcher 3 into this game make everything a little better make it look like a next gen game of course but more than anything else make that combat feel special y’all do that and I’d like this games chances against gta6 for Goty at the game awards no bs
Its not coming out in 2025, they said that they were in full production 2 weeks ago 2026 or 2027 is possible
@@KEVERIANC I like to be optimistic I like what I saw from the trailer 2026 is obviously prolly what it will be just saying tho if it did go against gta 6 with better combat I would like its chances
@@lahdopa I won't even be close to read y by the time GTA 6 rolls maybe if GTA was delay to 2027
This game is not coming out before 2027 guaranteed.
@@eyrindirkharneus3815 Late 2028 at best, Cyberpunk took almost 5 years after entering full production....
Niiiiiice
LFG
Have the devs forgotten that Ciri has eliminated the Wild Hunt, resurrected her parents, saved the world, possibly all worlds in all dimensions
And without mutations
What does she have to prove?
Because that wasn't ciri's own story, that was what destiny and fate had always written for her, she never liked being the center of attention nor her elder blood powers, she was the happiest when she choose to become a witcher in the ending because she can finally do what she wants to do instead of what some prophecy tell her to do
@@sane7527 and she can keep doing that at the end of the Witcher 3 ending where she becomes the witcher, much more efficiently than by nerfing herself in this game
However the point the above comment, and mine, are making is that her arc, Geralt's arc and other main characters' arcs are done, and especially her has been milked a bit too much, even in the books
Also according to the devs' own idea, they want people to learn more about being a Witcher (which even in the new game she isn't, because she's also a source) and that they feel she has a lot to learn - this absolutely makes no sense given what she has gone through in her life in the games and books
This is just lazy and safe writing
They could have gone with a young training Witcher and players could have followed his trials and Witcher life lessons
Ciri could have been around, even as an Empress patron or a Witcher teacher or dead, respecting all endings, as of now the other endings are going to feel super hollow no matter how they explain it
@@kaushalsuvarna5156 a new witcher would always have been a watered down version of geralt, it would have been extremely tough to add new gameplay elements to it and the constant comparisons to geralt wouldn't have done them much good.
With ciri they have the ability to have the witcher combat and magic of sorceresses like yen/triss plus who knows if her elder blood powers are fully gone. This is gone to be a long saga and they could always slowly introduce back her powers to keep on improving the gameplay
@sane7527 but that's it you made both my points, it's difficult to write on your own, hence the lazy and safe writing jab; and she is not a true Witcher anyway because she is using source magic
So the only thing they have achieved with so much lore breaking is alienating 25-33 percent of their audience base and upsetting people like me who care about writing, and this from a studio that boasts of being storytellers
But the most important point is what's said in my main comment above
Something happened that she changed into full Witcher… Don’t tell me they’ve killed Geralt!! 🤬
he’s literally at the end of the trailer talking 🤣💀
@2ClutchCorey Of course Geralt will appear... As a flashback!!!
the Devs have confirmed that he will be chilling in Toussaint (or however you spell it)
@@SachinJames89 imagine if he is a johnny silverhand type for ciri but instead of him being a chip in her head, she just became schiz0 and started seeing vision of him
@@mum-your They might be taking the TLOU2 route... Kill the Geralt in a brutal way preferably beat him to death while he's relaxing in Toussant or wherever... And justify that for Ciri to become a witcher!!! I'm getting a bad feeling... I haven't read the books so I've got no clue whether Geralt lives or dies. 😓
Should’ve asked them about Ciri’s Jaw.
That thing strong
I like Ciri, but I couldn't be less enthusiastic about playing as her. Was hoping for a custom character.
I'm disappointed they don't have character creation in Witcher 4. If they only added that, it would attract a lot more players for this game.
Same here mate. A wasted potential.
Hard disagree, set voiced character for heavy story games just work so much better for me.
More open rpgs character creation can be great, would not fit the witcher as well
@AjTiOfficial The hell of an argument is that?
The new UbiSoft.
How?
Witcher 4 seems unnecessary, story going to suck probably. I would have preferred if they focused on a new ip or Witcher 1 at this time. Cd projekt is not the same team that was behind the other games. I'm sure this is going to be bad.
Just don't buy it then....
why are people spreading this lie? it's easily debunkable 😭
Their last game has one of the best stories I’ve ever played. Im pretty confident its not going to suck at least
Weird take lmao
It baffles my mind why fans won't want more content from franchises they love, and atleast until now cdpr has delivered amazing quality of content
No thanks. I’m not interested in playing as Ciri at all. Geralt is The Witcher.
Nobody gives a shit.
I just hope they don't scrap good interactions! 🥲🥲🥲 like they did on Witcher 3
Witcher 3 had good interactions, what?
@vagrantender They scrapped some good interactions between Geralt and clients he helps, his friends and others. You can actually see videos on UA-cam of people being able to pull up the dialogue through modding because some are also glitched and not accessible! Some are nice details of conversations that a lot of fans would have loved to see! ❤
